Major General says president's eligibility needs proof

I really think this "controversy" is just racism and fear of Obama's plans. Everyone better be ready to feel stupid when this case is over and done. (Notice how most of the people who doubt his legitimacy are republicans... maybe not all, but most. The ones that aren't are just falling into the trap) I'll admit I'm tired of people playing the race card, but race seems like it's a big part of all this.... as well as "sore losers", maybe?

Oh, that is certain.

But not in a court-case to establish whether a President is legitimate (he is) and whether the military should follow his orders, his standing as a Major General means nothing. In fact, because he is retired, it may hurt the case.

Of course, what the Major General and Taitz are doing is a grave threat to democracy.

I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing with you just letting you know that all retired military personel are subject to recall at. reread the article and his reasoning while I think it is a little dramatic makes sense.

If he is hiding something, it will be discovered and he will be removed from the office that he bought. Adding a Major General to the list along with a few sitting Senators will get this ball rolling a little faster and headed right for the goal.

People, it is really time for all of this crap to end. Blood has been spilt, lives have lost and the people of this country are just not sure of anything anymore except that congress is full of what they have been dishing out the last two decades.


Obama, produce the damn original birth certificate and an orginal copy of your reg. for selective service or get the hell out of my white house. If you can't show the people of this country your original birth certificate then you do not deserve to be in that house, you do not have the right to be in that house.

If you have nothing to hide produce the birth certificate, if you and your staff falsified documents and lied to the American People we will find out and proof will surface sooner or later. So do the right thing if you have it in you.

It is just really hard for me to believe that someone came out of a state that is so corrupt has absolutly nothing to hide.

Give me a break. I am a student, I will admit that, but this is just ridiculous. You disagree with his policies so you scream that he is not constitutionally able to serve. This has been handled and verified. Please, for the love of god, cry voter intimidation, voter fraud, something that would survive a FRCP12 motion. If you cant then just complain(as is your right, and I can criticize whatever you say per my rights) and stop creating actions that my money has to pay for.

First, no one is saying he shouldn't be open to questions.

Second, if you are a US citizen, then he is your President too. Unless you are taking a very un-American, un-democratic, and un-republican stance and are ignoring the results of a lawful election.

Not only dont they have evidence or any standing over this conspiracy but they also prefer to keep their mouths shut when the issue of unconstitutional acts gets pinned on Iraq and torture. If these people really gave a damn about the constitution as much as they argue for the fringe conspiracy they would be doing it on all sides.

This isnt about concern for the laws of the land or the safe keeping of this nation, this has everything to do with personal partisan bickering. Heck Bush didnt even get it this bad and that man won by a mere 4000 votes in a state his brother was governor, at a time when his cousin was assisting with the voting counting.

To be honest, that has no bearing on our current conversation. It is not only inconsequential but also a distraction. Those on the other side can flip it and make the counter-argument that those who claimed to care about the Constitution then don't seem to care about now that Obama is President. Around and around it will go. It would serve this conversation well to avoid such talk and just concentrate on the issue at hand.

Im sorry but when folks such as myself were vocal against the war, against the unconstitutional acts of the last administration these very same individuals attacked us and called us unpatriotic... and now here they are talking about the constitution as if they give damn.

That is strange, because if it was yours or mine it is public knowledge and anyone can request to see that information.

As I already pointed out, it's considered a confidential health record and thus is illegal for the state government to release to the public, under HI state law.

Yours, mine, Obama's, Joe the Plumber's - anybody.

They were warned because there were several instances during the last election when civil servants were caught peeping at the personal records of various candidates from both parties.

I am actually fairly confident Obama had to formally give permission to the State of Hawaii for them to even release images of his COLB - think about it for a second, do you really want someone to see & be able to easily make a copy of your Birth Certificate?

That's a recipe for easy identity theft, among other things.

You know, not one word that's been said here will mean a thing soon because Obama is revealing who he really is and what he intends to do to the American people.

He started the FIRST day he was in the Oval Room.
I've never known of one President that has done so much in that amount of days in office.

All of you, just wait and see.

It will all unfold as the days go by.

He intends to CHANGE every American's life in some way or another.

As for his defender's:
The day will come when you will wish that you had never supported or defended this man.

I am not necessarily disagreeing with you. However, let's handle one Constitutional question at a time and not muddy the waters any more than we have to.

He did.

When he did, they said "oh it's fake!"

Then they demanded his hospital long form - I don't even have mine, do you? All I have is the short form, which is the only document that matters, legally.

He's under no more obligation to produce his private hospital records than he is to allow a biopsy to prove he's human and not a Cylon, and to request either is a bit... odd.

He's a citizen and he does have standing on that criterion alone.

And he is hardly alone in the matter. I saw Alan Keyes asking the same questions the other day.

I think that Obama's probably a citizen, otherwise he wouldn't have been nominated, but let's face it. The Democrats' vetting process has been fraught with problems.

I can prove where and when I was born.

Certainly, Obama can do the same and put an end to the speculation.

He is not a Major General. He was a Major General. He is retired now. His status either before or now does not somehow add weight to the faux controversy. And given the fact he is retired means he has no standing in demanding this.

Yes he does have a right as a United States citizen regardless of his retired rank to ask for proof of eligibility of being born in Hawaii with true documentation of a real birth certificate.

I heard a commentator on the radio say if Obama was found not to be a legalized born citizen and was thrown out of office because of the matter 100 major cities would burn. Even though his beliefs were to the right politically he stated it was not worth the distruction of the cities. His justification even if Obama is found not to be a legalized citizen of The United States America and Obama's justification for staying in office as President should be because many voters still thought President Bush stole the election from Al Gore.

My thought is this if Obama is found to be lying about being a legal U.S. citizen then according to the Constitution of the United States Of America Obama must be removed from office according to what is written in the Constitution by our absolutely brilliant forefathers. What would our forefathers say on this matter? Its O.K. if you do not have proof of legal citizenship we trust you. I do not think so our forefathers would demand absolute proof and not fabricated proof of legal citizenship and the emphasis is on the word legal.
