It's a threat that we aren't "in the know" about UFO's. I believe the public should be informed, just so that we can be prepared for anything UFO related in the future.

The reason might be that "they" are afraid of mass panic, but I somehow believe that the public reaction would mostly be a "so?" and people would then carry on their business pretty much as usual.

Hmmm here is my 2p worth of thought. We are ALREADY being prepared for disclosure of some sort. Why do i say that i hear your cry!! Well it is simple. Look at Mars. Over the last three years or more we have had a flurry of press releases regarding Mars, with discoveries being made all the time, not least the most implied bit of news of all that there is methane on Mars suggesting geothermic or biological origins. And to add to the mix water was recently discovered on another planet outside the solar system althought the planet was apparently too hot to support life. All of these findings are baby steps to an even bigger announcement in my opinion.
I dont think the new administration will come out and say UFOs exist per say but what i do think will happen is that they will announce the discovery of a signal, a message from the stars. It will probably be a friendly ailen species as well. And we wont have landings on the White House lawn either. It will be while yet before we get First Contact, but i think the SETI signal will be when the vault door is prised open and a few secrets will come out. It will be momentous but not a complete disclosure. Like i said Baby Steps .....

look, humans want change. to say that change would cause violence is a gross misunderstanding of human nature. we have a need to learn, a need to achieve. if 2 million people can converge on washington without a single violent arrest, i think we can handle disclosure

yes but they seem all to ready for the challenge of hiding things themseves. like the joke that was the chinese space walk. (you know the one with air bubbles in the video) but i think you are right for another reason. we are rapidly approaching the situation where our home equipment can reach further and further into space, and right here close to my home, i think it was 4 years ago now, but don' hold meto that exactly, a privately funded man from huntsville built the first ever airplane that can go to orbit and return over and over. But i don't see disclosure happening until the matter is forced down their throats, which i believe will happen before 10 years are up. But, they are at the disadvantage, with all the ways we have exposed image tampering and what have you all the way back to the first moon orbits, they still don't seem concerned. this is because there is this strange phenomenon happening where even here, on a conspiracy website, one such as myself is ridiculed for asking why the black box can't be found on that airplane that fell in the Hudson, or why we haven't heard from the pilot, when i asked those simple questions, i recieved a lot of mail saying basicly "you are just a paranoid weirdo, i'm sorry you didn't get all the carnage you expecte from your news." and the like of. So the government is learning that they can tell us basicly anything and enough people will believe it to stifle those who do not. This is such a precarious age we are in now. We have a peverse reality where religious zealots who get all dewy eyed thinking about 72 virgins can use modern weapons to their liking, it is truly some kind of global transition happening, and we are witnessing history as i type this. I just hope this has a happy ending, and i yearn for disclosure as well.

I would like to inform you, person, that there will be no sub-orbital trips taking place for everyone in the any near seen future, there fore, your post has not in one way shape or form made any sense to me, and possibly many other members. Whatever you are talking about, please enlighten me on how we will be see UFOs in sub-orbit or space.

I would also like to inform you, that it costs over a million dollars to take a sub-orbital flight, and that is completely insane to assume that an average citizen would be flying out around space.

Oh how nice. Well if that is the case then how can another fricken soul on this planet argue that there is not such a thing as a shadow government? They can't. I am also assuming that what Carter said is true. And we've heard the same thing before about many other Presidents. And so the sad truth sets in. Someone's above the President at least in this regard.

But in that case with clear global implications, the power of the puppet master must extend far beyond that of a mere President. The President is supposed to be the highest military authority there is. His clearance ought to extend all the way past Niburu and up every Reptilian's butt there is.

president carters statement means we no longer have a government controlled by our elected officials. his response is pretty clear to me on that issue. Obama probably got that message in his first security briefing a few days after his election. any opaqueness in government has already been defined long before he was sworn in. just take your SOMA pill and move along, nothing to see here

Who will rush to disclose first?
If the POTUS is seen as opening up the disclosure process, will some other country rush to be first to say "see--we have one--look!"
The boundaries of what is national security have started to become blurry after England started releasing "lightly classified" files, and with the world economy looking for the "next big thing" to restart the failed economic model, who will be the first to want research and development money for a new round of tech?

The time is being set for the announcement of extraterrestrial life and the existence of UFO's and aliens visitors to the Earth. The UN is sopposed to declare something about UFO's this year. NASA is now "hinting" that life may be on Mars after all. And Obama is going along with the gradual plan to get people ready for the next step. Once this is done and the "visitors" can move about more freely and less secretively, they can get going with the plan to institute the new world order, or "new age" as Obama is starting to call it.

I think (unless I am wrong) that the last two Preidents that tried to disclose the UFO secrets were Kennedy and Reagan. So this is a bold move on Obama's part, or.... exactly as planned.

Revolution, (sorry Mods, this MUST be addressed) there actually IS a project underway to allow regular (admittedly very rich) regular citizens to enjoy a sub-orbital flight.

This project I mentioned is being funded by the Billionaire mogul Sir Richard Branson. Yes, the same Sir Branson who is CEO of Virgin Airways.

One of the most well-known distinguished 'first' passengers booked on this first 'civilian' sub-orbital flight is just the renowned Phycisist, Sir Stephen Hawking!

I would like to say that I agree that the public has been conditioned for some type of informational release by the government. I think that this has been going on for over 30 years. I am less optimistic about what sort of information we are going to get.

Judging from the plethora of Science Fiction books, films, and television shows that deal with alien contact. It looks like the information is going to cover two distinct alien races.

The first are the nearly human looking, Gray Aliens. These seem to be mostly benign and possibly even somewhat friendly. These seem to be the guys that we first encountered. The amount of information dealing with Roswell, Aztec, and other crash sites, seems to point to a slow but steady trickle of information being inserted into the public awareness over 60 years. We may be underwhelmed by the information when it is released because we have been given most of the good stuff already. Except for the official admission that it is true.

I am not very optimistic about the second race. Over the past 40 years there has been steady flow of information regarding symbiotic lifeforms. The most common of these seems to be one that attaches itself to the host's brainstem and then takes control of their body. This type of alien does not seem to be benign and usually has a very sinister intent. I have noticed how this type of alien lifeform has been introduced into the SciFi genre almost from nowhere. Stories like, "The Puppet Masters", "Dark Skies", and "Stargate", seem to indicate that we have something to fear from alien contact. If the government chose to release information of this type, who knows how the public might react?

It is possible that an information release might happen very soon. It is also possible that the information may be only a very small part of what the government actually knows. If an information dump does occure, the government will no doubt say, "Now you know what we know. This is all there is. Now please quit asking us about it."

Is it possible that the government would release information about the relatively familiar and less harmfull Grays, and withhold information about the Symbiots, Mantis, Reptilians, etc.? Judging from the history of the UFO phenomenon, I would say that it is almost a certainty.

Also, I just checked out the Virgin Galactic website - tickets are now $200,000. Sure, still too much for us drowning middle-class credit card users, but there are actually thousands of people on the planet who easily can and will afford this, which in turn will make it cheaper. And I totally agree with you, within just a few years, you'll book your sub-orbital ticket for the price of a cruise.

I can't wait - and these times are truly extraordinary - I know with a 99% probability that I will actually see Earth from (at least) sub-orbit with my own eyes before I kick the bucket

Absolutely!! I dont think world Governments would tell us abotu the negative ailens yet, we are not ready for that, especially not the reptillians and ailens that drain the life out of you !! But i think we are more than ready for a peaceful First Contact ie a SETI signal or even the admission that the Greys exist, Roswell was real and maybe even Rendlesham Forest was true as well. And perhaps confirmation of other well known sightings, ie Iran in the mid 1970s, New Zealand 1978/9 etc. I think we need to watch the press statements in the next year, particularly over Mars, as that seems to be a springboard for disclosure of some sort.

Lord knows the world needas change per say. you could not get any bigger change than the confirmation of ET. That certaintly would tilt the world on it's axis. And it might just put an end to some of the conflicts going on right now in the Middle East as we realise that that is a fight in the school playground in comaparison to the realisation we are not alone.
