This whole thing is really strange..but I don't think that CNN is deliberately killing the sound..it's propably just a technical problem or.
I started watching this cam on Friday evening, CNN was streaming it back then, with sound..However, they didn't stream for as long as they have been doing today...perhaps they just bought an exlusive.

Just be aware that the stream on the Al Jazeera website is different than the one they broadcast on tv. I only just noticed that myself.

Some news to consider...

JERUSALEM — Three times in recent days, a small group of foreign correspondents was told to appear at the border crossing to Gaza. The reporters were to be permitted in to cover firsthand the Israeli war on Hamas in keeping with a Supreme Court ruling against the two-month-old Israeli ban on foreign journalists entering Gaza.

Each time, they were turned back on security grounds, even as relief workers and other foreign citizens were permitted to cross the border. On Tuesday the reporters were told to not even bother going to the border.

And so for an 11th day of Israel’s war in Gaza, the several hundred journalists here to cover it waited in clusters away from direct contact with any fighting or Palestinian suffering, but with full access to Israeli political and military commentators eager to show them around southern Israel, where Hamas rockets have been terrorizing civilians. A slew of private groups financed mostly by Americans are helping guide the press around Israel.

Like all wars, this one is partly about public relations. But unlike any war in Israel’s history, in this one the government is seeking to entirely control the message and narrative for reasons both of politics and military strategy.

www.nytimes.com...

I believe we should be thankful that the live feed lasted as long as it did with audio.

But it is possible that Israel has now embarked on its most brutal phase of this military operation. There is no way they will allow unedited, uncontrolled live news of this... Especially to the people of western nations.

The kind of urban warfare taking place in Gaza right now, literally building to building and door to door could yield very high civilian casualties.

Leaving the people of western nations now dependant on Arab run news outlets for information from Gaza is a huge mistake for the Israelis. IMO

I hope all to see different channels!

- Look for LIVE broadcasts inside GAZA in this hour

I have open channels mentioned above, none of them is sending live reports. None.

Lets see what is this media blackout tonight, leaded by CNN. How true is it.

The Ramattan cam is still being operated manualy. It just changed position and is now showing a different view.

The worst part is that Israel have the Arab world on edge over what they are doing to the innocent people of Gaza. The US is staring to look like kids compared to the depravity of the IDF command. Even though the US and the IDF are the same thing.

I think Hamas will BEG for Iran to come to its aid and save it from Israel.
The NWO would be loving this.

If u ever want to get away with something do it when a new US president is about to take office.

Yeah, and did you see artillery fire in distance just before view was changed?

Then they pan to right, and there was flash on right corner, they correct to left. Then its all again in death angel...

Every word you say
is set in stone ....

you are absolutely right .

without sound in night... There is no war.

the truth its self now is being blockaded.

and i say this as an israeli .

my government has never made me so ashamed of being Israeli .

and this is a crucail moment - hamas has turned down the cease fire offer .
(so called cease fire ) - i suspect slaughter will begin shortly .

for both sides.

how terrible .

30 min of news from AlJazeera, Ramattan, PressTV and looking CNN LIVE.

NO LIVE REPORT FROM GAZA
NO LIVE FOOTAGE FROM ACTION

... Al Jazeera just promised some report from inside Gaza.

And remember, we are talking about prime time news in Arabic world.

EDIT

Al jazeera is reporting, show only second of same CNN feed we see.

AL JAZEERA REPORT JUST MINUTE AGO...

"Tensive fighting is going, what we can hear all the time from outskirts of Gaza!"

I got audio from the UstreamTV site. I heard the drones in the background. Seems as though he is trying to establish a feed.

I think he gets his Ramattan feed through Brussels. Didn't the Palistinians have a TV station there?

Btw, CNN still has their feed up on edition.cnn.com...
