The link jumping to CNN only occured after Ramattan showed Israeli tank movement, shortly after that nana10, which hosted the feed, dropped the connection.

While Ramattan was still on the nana10 feed they suffered audio loss aswell, this isn't just a CNN "feature".

The feed on CNN does zoom in and out, we saw several shelling on it and a helicopter dropping off flares.

I can imagine that Ramattan was told off by the IDF for showing the tank movement and they probably told them kindly that if they showed something like that again, their building would be levelled to the ground. So Ramattan is more careful with what they show right now.

edit: cnn now has put a no audio label on their feed.

Yes, this truly stinks, and I had been nervous the whole time that they would triangulate on thier position. Was a matter of time.

Now, some of you that took screen shots, did you happen to see the 2 phone numbers listed top right of when the had the news feed interruptions? I believe may have been cell phones, and if anyone is brave or rich enough, perhpas some communication could occur so we are all not left wondering and worrying about them.......

Thanks, its better packed pressTV broadcast... Works better for me than whats send from pressTV website, server. But they also doesnt show any Live pictures... Media Blackout In Gaza is very, very real tonight.

CNN shows picture from the black wall... Without voice... No moving... 10 minutes now. If something happens again, they will show another black wall...

We can call this "Gaza plumber media" ... with "Joe The Cameraman" ...

I have had audio without droppage (bar the occasional short cut that happened twice) for over 48 hours - the lack of sound in this case is completely different. I don't think it was the tank movements as the other live streams also showed this, the major difference was when Ramattan streamed the deliberate demolition of civilian buildings in Gaza city.

What's the coverage like on Al-Jazeera rugged? I've moved to a laptop that doesn't have realplayer so any insight would be gratefully appreciated. I'd be tempted to call the cell phone numbers of the old crew if I had them, although I'm doubtful anyone would be successful.

That is possible theory indeed!

I was watching Aftonbladet that time when the link change occur, so I believe to voice problems before too... But... Everyone knows that in night time voice is THE THING. You need only one microphone and GSM connection, to link the voice to CNN broadcast / that would be done in minutes already.

- But your theory explain why guys are not doing their work, manning the cameras, doing their work as days before.

- But if there are still Ramattan guys in directors chair, why Ramattan News dont use their pictures, cameras their self?

It's in my sig, I was hoping people would notice so they wouldn't keep asking and spam the thread.

*EDIT*

I've sent a couple of e-mails with no reply. I will try the landline in a short while and see what happens.

Removing the camera completely would've been too obvious, instead they transfer the feed to CNN and disable the sound. Who knows what might be going on in the background now. Independent camera crew falls into the hands of Israel and you wont see anything afterwards. Not like the past few days.

There's no good footage now, the swedish webcam is on the other side of the border, and it's just useless.

I'd think that someone just doesn't want people to know how heavy and brutal this bombardment can be aside from movement on the ground, when the feed was up and running last night, it was just crazy. Actual battles, artillery and tank shells, airattacks, you name it- They just kept coming and coming every single minute. Also the occasional use of phosphorus bombs during the day, which Israel denies using on populated area's.

Yeah... right. Live camera's dont lie.

The coverage on Al Jazeera, the English language channel, is bugger all. They haven't done a live broadcast from within Gaza yet (for asfar as I've seen today). Even though they have a reporter there with a camera crew.

The audio feed was cut even before it moved to CNN. It was cut while still on the nana10 feed.

This is as much a PR war as its is a real war. Phase three has obviously started, imagine the sounds we would be hearing if it was heavy street to street fighting.
In all the time that i have watched the OP feed i have never heard a screaming voice in pain, maybe thats whats you would be hearing tonight. Wonder if the peope in gaza have any telecommunications tonight?

15 minutes to next news - I will watch on Al Jazeera. If they dont send live feed in next news everything is very clear here / and total blackout is done.

And I believe that theory with great threat send to media, and central will be bombed, if something is broadcasted tonight without CNN / Israel acceptance.

That's the same stream that CNN has of Ramattan. Nice alternative for those who are unable to get the CNN stream.
