Edit: yep after that wave passed by I see small ones at CWC coming in on GEE

Yes, I just saw this quake too. My browser just shook like nuts, thanks to eQuake.

We'll just have to watch and see. My thoughts and prayers go out to those on Samoa and in Indonesia. They don't need salt for the wounds.

As I was typing my last sentence, eQuake said that there was a 7.8 in Vanuatu. Now, it could of just been correcting the previous reading or it was a second one. Let's hope for the former.

my browser is also going nuts, when i opened a pop up it showed the 8.1, but atm its showing a 7.8 ..

According to this "BNO News" on Twitter, those two quakes are indeed two separate ones.

According to "News First Australia", also on Twitter, authorities in New Caledonia are evacuating the islands eastern shores, due to the tsunami warning. That's what they're quoting from Reuters.
