Hmmm.. Anonymous poster- I agree largely and deplore religion and although I have met plenty of 'nice' religious people, the very fact they are religious makes them rather flawed in my opinion. Applies to Jews and Muslims and the rest alike.

That said I have to disagree in that many major conflicts - WW1, 2, most of the wars in the 17th C, many civil wars, revolutions and indeed the ancient conquests (Romans, Moguls) - which probably account for most of the loss of life in organised conflicts in the history of man - were not religiously motivated.

Why don’t we see these other Muslim nations, who are so deeply concerned for the “Palestinian Cause” making offers to take them in? Again… Because they are an anti-Israel, Arab, PR Tool, and they cease to be usable as one if they are elsewhere.

You are right they are a PR tool. But what makes you think the Palestinians should leave? Who should take them in and why? I don't see the world standing up for the rights of the Palestinians like it was done for the Jews after WWII. The Arab world is a whole different animal than what we are in the West and we don't even come close to really knowing what it is like over there with the way the media presents them. And let us not forget the Arab world isn't exactly united (pity) and how many of those countries receive funds from the West and the US........nor does the West allow for the Arab world to even come close to having sophisticated weaponry to create any real harm towards Israel.....as they are divided, not technologically strong enough and the possibility of funds being cut off......I am not so sure it is only a matter of taking in the Palestinians. I venture to say that the Palestinians are not only a PR tool.

The Romans and most other's and the associated conflicts (I'd even go as far as saying the crusades) - were motivated by $$$ power and land - religion was just an excuse to get the 'sheeple' (ATS word lol) on board.

So yeah you have a point but I guess what I'm trying to say is, if it wasn't religion it would be something else - maybe a war on terror?

Is it completely fixed? nope. When will Muslims get a Christ for their religion to show them the old ways were wrong. The Jews seem to be sowing the old testament to be true...an eye for and eye. Hmm I guess it's chicken and egg - again - I think War on Terror is just another excuse used to goto war for profit and power - because the US and UK etc wouldn't buy a religious excuse anymore - just not enough people who care about religion enough anymore for this to be a crusade by the west.

I think if the US was much more religious, and much more serious about that religion and this was the accepted mainstream - and likewise in the UK, the powers that be wouldn't have had any trouble with going in to kill the 'infidels' because the insult the christian god - rather than having to make up stories about WMD's and hordes of terrorists hiding in the hills.

I am not a literalist...But I will say christ evolved the consciousness of the homosapiens of the time. This is the magic he had. He was a evolved human. Its called Christ consciousness. The entire Jewish bible was writen for the evolution of conscious along with Islam...They are suppose to continue to evolve. At the time they were written we were on a scale of consciousness that was very low..Why fighting, hating was ok..ect. It went along with the stage homospaiens were at. Now that we have reached divine consciousness... I see both of the desert religions and the followers backwards.
They both made their religions impossible to evolve...So if anyone does its a miracle. Someone who could unite them into a more evolved religion, with no loop holes like jihad, or an eye for an eye....That would be a better magic trick than walking on water.
I do not hate Muslims or Jews. I would hope America and other countries would stop them from killing each other.

This post addresse the root cause of anti Jewish rhetoric and acts of hatred that they have endured for thousands of years. If you Jew hating racists cannot stomach that, then consider yourself warned.

I don't know where you are from, but where I am from I have never experienced the kind of hatred for Jews that you speak of. I was shocked recently when I discovered that in the 1300's European countries blamed the Black Plague on the Jews and accused them of poisoning all the wells across Europe. The accusations are nothing short of insanity. 6,000 Jews were put to death in one day as a result of this prejudicial hate motivated lie. And there were many other lies conjured up from calling them baby killers and witches, to blaming them for bad weather.

I suppose it is easy for people to brush off my insights with insults for my being Zionist and a Christian, but since MilitieTempliSalmo asked for another answer as to why Jews were / are hated more than others and he wants to hear something he has not heard before, I will try to respectfully answer him as follows:

I think your answer lies in the condition of the fallen nature of man.
Without divine intervention man cannot escape his inner inclinations of jealously, envy, pride, and wrath from which proceeds all acts of hatred and evil. Man, without the regeneration of his lost spirit, is the conduit for every evil thought in the the Universe(demons = evil thoughts).
When an evil thought enters a man, if he entertains that thought enough, that thought springs to life and it's gravitational force attracts more evil thoughts. A tree of death takes root and the evil grows exponentially in the mind(law of attraction). Eventually the evil manifests in the outer world in all manner of hatred, meaness, selfish conduct, taking pleasure in the suffering of others and pleasure in murdering people. In this state man is under the Law of the Old Covenant, which provides buffering and keeps him in check, though he still fails miserably at holding evil inclinations back, as the evening news so often demonstrates.

It would be nice if the world was ideal, but, as I am sure you agree, we do not live in such a place. From God's perspective, the ideal world would have every one's lost spirit regenerated and filled with His Divine Nature. Such people would have a heart governed by the Spirit of Love, and since the Spirit of Love can do nothing but that which is good, honorable and just, all people would be in an ideal state of mind(our thoughts become our tree of life), making the world a peaceful place to live. But, as soon as one person desires to harm another person, the ideal world does not exist and a war of sorts begins. Therefore the ideals found in scripture do not work in our reality except to the extent those divine precepts are applied to our own hearts and minds. By necessity, a person with a regenerated spirit will seek out those who are willing to receive regeneration or resurrection of their lost spirit(law of attraction).

As long as men's hearts are in an unregenerate state, spiritual ideologies will inevitably have to be set aside now and then to fight wars. It might sound hypocritical, but it is the result of our reality.

While man is under the power of nature, governed only by worldly wisdom, his life, no matter how old he might be, is quite childish. That is because everything about him serves only to awaken childish thoughts and pursuits in him. All that he sees and hears, all that he desires and fears, all that he has, and all that he has not, all that he gets and all that he loses, serves only to carry him from one fiction of evil to another fiction of good, from one vanity of peace to another vanity of trouble. His entire life is a feed back loop of his desire continually wanting and his wanting continually desiring. From this there is no escape except through the regeneration of his lost spirit.

Both Jews and Arabs (actually the real Arabs live in the Arabic peninsula) speak Semetic languages and have lived for centuries in the same region. But then there are the different religions being the Jewish one and the Muslim one (and a small minority of Orthodox Christians).

Hmm I think the reasons why the bible and other holy teachings were written is something that is for another thread. But interesting none the less. The main religions are mainly copies of Judaism in terms of their structure, rights, books - differences are pretty cosmetic.

Where the hell Judaism came from, why, and for what purpose books like the old testament were brought together is another one - probably for some kind of control, gain. Nothing else. I don't think people like Christ were out purely to evolve consciousness etc - I'm pretty sure if we had all the facts - i.e. more real history, we'd find that he 'made something' out if - there was some gain for him.

I could quote a lot of numbers - number of people killed, number of civilians killed, number of armed incursions, amount of ordanance fired, homes bulldozed etc .. but I won't.

See the game has changed this time. Hammas is now democratically and freely elected. The people have spoken. And since their election, they haven't once broken a ceasefire without significant provocation. Firing rockets is not the breaking of a ceasefire, Isreal nullified any ceasefire through their blockade which is illegal.

SO answering your question - the Palestinians haven't broken one ceasefire since they democratically elected Hammas into power - indeed since Hammas took power - relations have been largely peaceful and bombings/suicide bombings minimal (someone quote the no. please).

I think this will change now. Hammas will retaliate BIG TIME. Israelis will die now unfortunately and then who will the world blame? Hammas again? Or as Isreal are doing now, will the world say 'they deserve it' to Israel.. it's the same stupid argument.

Saying is is a retaliation is no better - so now can any country do whatever it likes in retaliation - however disproportionate?
