I really really tried to take this prophesy seriously. I rally have. But I just help myself laughing out loud on this one. "Wishful thinking" comes to mind. And the new state divisions... are you serious? East coast joins the EU, South falls under Mexican influence...

April 1st came sooner than I thought and it's not even 09 yet.

he had predicted the collapse of Soviet empire in 1974 and predicted collapse of collapse of USA to happen to early 21st century ,

Russian ruble becoming an economic currency for Eurasia

Panarin believes that yuan, rupee, rouble , euro and dirham/riyal will be initial global currencies , he stated it in 2005 ,
and later yuan will global currency and rouble a major currency in euraisa.

Anyone who believes in Biblical prophecy knows that America or "the great country to the West" is never mentioned in the "final days". How could a country great as this not be invovled or mentioned in the Bible?

Not to turn this into a bible thread:

The Eagle is used in the bible to refer to Babylon. There are also numerous references to the eagle idol of Nisroch.

3. eagle-the king of birds. The literal Hebrew is, "the great eagle." The symbol of the Assyrian supreme god, Nisroch; so applied to "the great king" of Babylon, his vicegerent on earth (Jer 48:40; 49:22). His "wings" are his great forces. Such symbols were familiar to the Jews, who saw them portrayed on the great buildings of Babylon; such as are now seen in the Assyrian remains.

Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary

The City of Babylon in Revelations is the commercial and financial capitol of the world, it holds sway over the Kings of the Earth and not only that its not Rome or literal Babylon and here's why:

17for in one hour such great wealth has been laid waste!' And every shipmaster and every passenger and sailor, and as many as make their living by the sea, stood at a distance,

18and were crying out as they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, 'What city is like the great city?'

19"And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning, saying, 'Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich by her wealth, for in one hour she has been laid waste!'

Revelations 18:17-19

The Babylon of Revelations is a great commercial seaport.

This isn't all, but I don't want to derail the thread. There is quite a bit more and you'll be extremely surprised, if not horrified, at the implications.

Happy New Year!

Russia has had a mercurial rise to solvency and belligerence based on oil being the biggest game in the world and themselves having more than anyone else.

The sudden plummet of world oil prices from appraching $150 a barrel to 25% of that in a few months has revealed the shaky gorunds they really are on. Their military is desperately in need of upgrading, they have virtually no control of their eastern frontiers any more, health and social issues, early death, alcoholism, drug usage, are at disastrous level.

All the oil revenues are skimmed off the top to go into expansionist political programs and influence peddling.

The countries financial reserves are dwindling, their stock market has been decimated, their currency is worthless.

Only their natural resources keep them afloat but barely.

If any major world player is going under in 2010 it looks like Russia.

I think the idea of Americans living under Mexican/Canadian/Chinese influence or control is the most ridiculous part of the story. Yeah, the entire western United States will bow to China.
Almost as likely as Texas joining Mexico, or the Midwest ceding control to Canada. This guy obviously hasn't got a clue about American values. Any of those countries trying to force their "influence" would be annihilated by the indigenous population.

Obviously this guy is just excited to get Alaska...

But in all seriousness, if this bro is right, i'd be excited for this change. America needs real change to realize we aren't untouchable.

I would like to agree with you on that one. I have often reflected on that verse and wondered if it refers to 9/11. The first time that I read that part of the Book of Revelations, I was struck by the symbolism to New York City. That was almost 40 years ago.

You know what they say about first impressions being correct.

There are no large well organized political movements or groups working to bring any of this about. Natural disasters won't do it either, because those just make Americans come together.

2010 is only 366 days away, and nothing happens that quickly in the USA that would cause this guys fantasy to come about in 2010. Just ask the residence of New Orleans.

Unless there was a massive alien invasion....that might do it

The US could collapse and it would be arrogant to suggest otherwise.
[edit on 2008/12/30 by GradyPhilpott]

I'm not suggesting it can't. Every nation in the history of this world has experienced some sort of collapse. I was suggesting that in the event the United States does collapse into multiple countries (which, again, I simply don't understand), these countries will see the benefit of a reunified nation and work to build a neo-America.

I think this should be taken seriously considering the state the US is in right now. I believe there was a senator Ron Paul who predicted something along the same lines.

The levelling of the playing fields allowing the British Commonwealth to return to it's rightful place, perhaps wishful thinking but I can certainly see these economic problems being advantageous to us (the British).

About time the industrial nations where levelled to match that of the founding fathers, always was a matter of time wasn't it?

Rant and rave as I'm sure many will, but the World Wars upset the apple cart, perhaps we can find our wheels again.

Ultimately though, this professor has a point but the claim is made ridiculous by some of the predictions suggested. Ultimately it is unfortunately inevitable that one day the American economy will be repositioned just as ours was, but so soon I doubt very much.

Rule Britannia, Brittania rules the waves! (lol, all tongue in cheek of course but I do truely believe in the long run this downturn it to our benefit)
