Very interesting indeed - sort of slow for a seismic event and clearly it was moving west to east. I am thinking it may be volcanic in nature but I'm not sure. The investigation begins

All I know is what I posted and this: Eagle, Alaska to New Hope, South Carolina is 4323 miles. Took 20 minutes. That's 216.15 miles per minute or 12,969 miles/hour.

I'm sharing it here because I know Father's wrath will bring a great quake as He executes His wrath upon mankind, so I'm keeping an eye out for the signs and ya'll seem to be extremely knowledgeable. Seismic Summary: During the month of October 2010, 68 earthquakes were located in the Yellowstone National Park region. The largest event was a magnitude 2.5 on October 26 at 10:33 PM MDT, located about 6 miles east southeast of West Yellowstone, MT. A small earthquake swarm was recorded October 6 -8 about 13 miles northeast of Old Faithful. The swarm consisted of 15 events with magnitudes 1.6 to -0.4.

Earthquake activity continues at background levels.

Ground Deformation Summary: Careful analysis of the Yellowstone GPS data shows that the period of accelerated Yellowstone caldera uplift, beginning in 2004, has decreased. Some GPS stations exhibit little change and others appear to reflect slight subsidence. A record of recent ground displacement can be found at:

In the report you provided I noticed the small swarm near Old Faithful. Oct. 6-8. If you're bored, you may want to correlate the start of the swarm and how it relates to the phase of the moon. Couldn't help noticing that on the 6th the moon was at perigee, and on the 7th it was a new moon. I'd post all the numbers, but I don't remember the link to find earthquakes dating back past those the most recent. I'm sure it'd be easy to figure out but I'm really trying hard to ignore my own thoughts. I'm distracting myself by looking back at an historic event to test some of the claims to see if I can't find the truth. I'm obsessing with 9-11. So far I'm still sitting on the fence and watching the match in the debate. Can't yet tell who's going to win.

Thank you very much. Please check my math and correct me if I'm off base, but it seems that just over two hours after perigee, the first quake of this small swarm was registered. Then it quieted down after two more microquakes. Then the next day, I think shortly before sunrise, the activity starts again and continues for an hour or so as the sun rises. Just before the peak of the new moon. Maybe I've got the astrological part wrong as well, but would that mean the moon almost directly in front of the sun and would be "rising" as well???

If I was a real scientist, I'd go back and correlated the data from February 13th and the swarm which started on January 15th. (By the way, I was the only person stating that the January swarm started on the 15th. I held firm to that conclusion, and within a week or so, the YVO finally amended their assessment and agreed with me.) But I'm not. And I have no research grant to keep me fed while I do that. I'm too busy keeping sane.

Thanks again Puterman. I do need all the help I can get. And I mean that more than you or anyone else could know. I'm going to write to you personal on my crazy page here on ATS. Robinesque Ruminations. More than anything, I'd like to convince you that I'm right about a great many things. I respect you even though we do not agree on many things. I think I am bold enough to assume you are a conservative. This means in a political sense I take a postition which is diameterically to yours. I think. I think we could find a consensus and middle ground if we agree to meet in the middle. I'll explain in greater detail on how I think we could change the world if we join forces here on this kooky website which I've in a minor way, co-opted as my messaging center. I know we disagree on climate change per say, but I've done some more thinking and many of your points are valid. But this doesn't mean that those in the green movement don't have valid agruments as well. There is a real possibility were both right for different reasons, and that somewhere in the middle, the full answer can be found when there is universal agreement on the reality of our situation.

Oh Gary, I know I didn't write you back. I love you but focusing takes all I got. Please post here or on my crazy page and I can write more. I just want most of what I write to stick on these walls out here on this a"mazing" site. I really don't think you're from Homeland Security. It's just that I can't stop the thoughts from occuring when I write you in a private email. I know they're irrational. I know this precisely, but that's how I control them. I have to avoid things that trigger certain emotional thinking. Out here this is cathartic for whatever reason. I think I just feel free to say whatever I want and that, for the most part, it's allowed and it allows a release of pressure. Kinda like an earthquake. And since this is a thread that was started by a swarm of earthquakes, what better place to snap and throw off a rumble of shocking waves. A good volcano is an active volcano because it releases the pressure. A "bad" volcano bottles it up for a long time and explodes all at once in the most violent of fashions.

So I'm being a good volcano by ranting. Believe it or not.

I've been up close and personal with a black bear, it awoke me from a sleep in my tent by sniffing my toes. And I see them occasionally roaming around the neighbourhood. So I'm not exactly frightened by bears. But if the scene that I'm posting, (yes it's related to Yellowstone so I'm safe) unfolded around me, even if I was in a vehicle, I'd be shocked by events you will see here.

I hope you still read this thread, and I hope you don't ignore this post because it has my name on it and you think it's full of goobley gook. I would like to public declare my appreciation for your decision to post quakes immediately. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong, the quakes should be showing up on weekends now, right?)

It shows maturity and it shows respect. Respect for even a crazy fool like me who has lots of complaints and opinions. The decision shows that there was a thoughtful process by the YVO in order to respond to the public.

Yes indeed, there is a chance that someone takes raw data and runs out to the media and starts a mild panic. That's the danger in a free society. But in the end, if the messenger has used false data and their warnings and predictions turn out to be unfounded, then that person will lose all credibility and this will make the media, and the public, more skeptical, and rely on finding official sources for confirmation. You only have to read the disclaimer that explains this very point. Every person is responsible to check, and recheck the facts before reaching an absolute conclusion. That's the way science works, that's the way journalism should work. Test and test again and you should get the same result.

Naw....I think they're micro quakes. I pulled up GEE and have already seen two more small ones in a short period of time.

Notice on YMR the first few have the unique 'double-tap' feature??? Ahhh memories...

yeah i noticed that , lmao do you want the end of the world because thats gonna happen if either ys or toba blows , you want my opinion , id expect toba to go off with in 2 or 3 years which will cause a chain reaction and both long valley and ys will go off next . which doesnt give me a whole lotta time to get my baby outta california shes willing to come here but shes waiting for the grandmother to die .
