Whats going on at yellowstone?

You guys ever heard of a Verneshot?

I am watching "Investigation X" on Discovery, episode "Siberian Apocalypse" about theories about what happened at Tunguska.

One theory is the Verneshot. I googled it.

A verneshot is a hypothetical volcanic eruption event which launches an extremely large rock into a sub-orbital trajectory.

According to the Department of Marine Geodynamics at GeoMar, Kiel such an event could be triggered by an explosion caused by a mantle plume under a craton in an area of continental rift. Verneshots are one possible cause for extinction level events.

The verneshot theory is that gas seeps up deep underground in an upwelling of magma like the hotspot which formed Hawaii but on a much larger scale. It is trapped beneath impenetrable rock known as a craton (continental plate rock). As pressure builds up, the gas cracks the craton and blasts out at immense velocity. This gas would poison the atmosphere and cause a massive earthquake, enough to level mountain ranges.

The Tunguska event was the event that marked when Satan and his angels (demonic forces) were hurled down to the earth on June 30, 1908.

The fall of 1908 is recorded at Revelation 12:7-13 “Then war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels also fought, but he could not prevail, and there was no place for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was thrown out—the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the one who deceives the whole world. He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.”

1908 Siberian Tunguska explosion was a bubble of enshrouded energy that burst over that region. It signaled the fall of Satan and that his plan for undermining Yahweh's Sovereignty had burst in mid air; it also represented the lost or lack of value that Satan's past authority had been represented as.

Column of Molten Rock Found Under Yellowstone

A plume of molten rock rising from deep beneath Yellowstone National Park is probably what is fueling the region's volcanic activity, as well as tectonic plate oddities across the Pacific Northwest, new research suggests.

Building on a growing body of evidence, Mathias Obrebski of the University of California, Berkeley, and his colleagues created the most convincing picture to date of a Yellowstone mantle plume -- one that extends from about 621 miles (1,000 kilometers) below the surface of the Earth.

Debates have long been waged over whether erupting and shaking in the area over the last few millions of years - and a track marked out by a chain of volcanic calderas along the Yellowstone Snake River Plain in Idaho -- could be the work of a column of hot rock rising up from deep within the Earth's mantle. The mantle is the layer of hot, viscous rock beneath the planet's crust.

Here is some updated information on Yellowstone Caldera, I think it is just a matter of time before it blows, when it does this will be a catastrophe behind our comprehension, hope I am wrong. The constant earthquake activity can be looked at in two ways, one it may be relieving the pressure or two it's a precursor to disaster.

Sorry for not replying to your great post sooner. I've been banging my head against lumber, rather than the world this past little while. Making a fence.

I feel less delusional when someone else has the same logic. If I'm the only one seeing the reasoning, then I'm crazy. If others are reaching similiar conclusions after developing a hypothesis, this is the start of consenus thinking. Several people coming up with similiar ideas after assimilating the available reasearch and new discoveries. Less than 50 years ago, people didn't know there was a gigantic volcano under Yellowstone. It's only been 20 or so years since we realized the extent of the eruption at Toba some 70000years ago.

What goes up can come down. And sometimes it doesn't. Example, the moon. Plasma is ejected from the sun and is pulled back. Some escapes as in a CME. The same thing happens on earth. Just on a smaller scale. Early in earth's evolution there were many ejections. But as the earth has cooled, these became smaller and less frequent. The material ejected early on formed the moon. At other times, the crust didn't make it into full orbit and would become like a meteorite. Except this object would be from deep space.

In the information you provided they referenced one of the main extinction events.
"the Frasnian-Fammian extinction event 364 million years ago, killing off 70% of all marine life, linked to the Siljan crater in Sweden and the Pripyat-Dniepr-Donetsk supervolcano in the Ukraine.'

These were part of the event. The responsible eruption crater is the Nastapoka arc in Hudson Bay. Ground zero would be somewhere on the Belcher Islands.

If rockets can blast hunks of metal into orbit, why can't volcanoes launch the earth's crust?

Did you know that back in Yellowstone's early days they rerouted the hotsprings?

The only surly true thing you can say about Yellowstone is that it's always changing.

Did you know that they used to round up the bison for shows?
Even filmed it for a hollywood movie.

Forgot the other eruption senario. The rain of Soddom and Gomorrah. An hydro eruption can eject material in the form of a sulfur dioxide (or is it trioxide, too tired to think or reference, I'd remember if... whatever) cloud that when condenses, turns into sulfuric acid.

Try to imagine Lot's wife. Standing in a rain of sulfuric acid. She became like a pillar of salt. In the rain.

looking to pic's of the aeria I do´nt think something came out of the soil....looks moore something exploded above ground zero flattening the tree´s in an circle and leaving an dome shaped deformation on the ground...

oh no, I don't know what happened at Tungusta, noone knows really, it was only that documentary that I was watching that presented that Verneshot theory. Which I thought very interesting and correlated with what Robin was talking about.

Im glad that I live in Germany for the time being and will not (hopefully) be effected directly by an eruption. I also recall watching the Yellowstone Eruption movie and the event seems pretty catastrophic.

Welcome to ATS and the Yellowstone thread! If you have any interest in learning more about Yellowstone, there is a TON of it here! I know this is a monster thread, but some have taken a bit of time and provide multiple links in the first few pages.

As to Yellowstone...there has been more talk the past few days about the sun activity and other planetary stuff picking up here in the next week. I'll be curious to see what/if any any affect this has on Yellowstone.

Robin I remember your ideas on the moon cycle influences and thought you had really found something interesting well i just came across this article talking about the same patterns you were seeing plus cycles relating to night day cycle and ones for longitude of earthquake frequencies/patterns. Just find this tuff interesting
