Would you happen to have a link you could post for the Entire article?

It is in Robin's post here

Sounded genuine enough to me.

It has been pretty quiet for a while except the last three days the micro
quakes have been showing up again around Yellowstone Lake and
Hebgen Lake.

However at 14:34+ UTC there was a short sequence of quakes closest to
B208 which showed up on most of the instruments in the Park.

Thanks for posting that. I hadn't even really been checking much because it's been so inactive lately. (Just checking YMR from time to time.) Those micro quakes show up really well on LKWY:

I made everything calm down by using the word "predict" the other day (bad, bad Quakewatcher) maybe she's done laughing at me now.

Don't feel bad about making a prediction and getting it wrong. It's better that way. Cause if you get it right, they'll say it was luck. Like the guy in Italy not long ago. And the fellow who predicted the 1989 Oakland quake. And the two geologists, who are married, who claim to be able to predict eruptions from the cycle of the moon.

Glad you all liked that article on the Utah quakes. There's good reporting and bad reporting. And now it's time for a bad article and a bizarre article. The bad, well, read it for yourself.
The bizzare- did you know that women cause earthquakes? Really. So, it's not the moon, tides, volcanic activity, or plate tectonics, it's women. Sexy women. Damn, I knew it. Mother nature and all that. I stopped fretting about climate change when I realized with her fickle nature, she would spew forth a couple of volcanoes and we'd be heading for an ice-age. I still support the science involved in realizing the earth is warming. And I think pollution and weather patterns are affected. So it would be wise to find alternatives.

Let's remember she's mother to us all. Even if she's tempermental and vindictive. Her ironic declartions are to remind us all who's in charge. Iceland's economy burns to the ground and the fallout comes a year later and paralyses business all over Europe and the world. If a writer tried to pass off this sceranio to an editor they'd be laughed at. But Mother Nature gets her way everytime.

To those of the female persuasion, please do not judge me too harshly, it's all tongue in cheek.

None of us would be here without you.

EDIT to add: disregard this post. USGS is playing with our minds.....

Buckle your seat belts folks.....that 3.5 might mean we are in for a bit of a ride!!!

That was a deeper one and not quite in the same location of this last swarm, so I would think it is a seperate event.

GEE is popping right now.,..

You can see it on GEE? Because I still can't see it on LKWY or IRIS (PB 207 or 208)

Had me wondering if it was another glitch in the system.

edited to say: I guess I see it on 207 but it looks pretty small. What's the closest station?

No, I didn't seet the 3.5 on GEE. I pulled it up about 10 min after and it looked pretty active.

I now see though that the main USGS list has pulled it. It was still on the Yellowstone map though. Here is THAT list just so that no one thinks we are crazy.

OK, no it looks like it was a glitch.

It's off the map now. I don't see any real evidence of it on any of the webis so I think it was just a weird technical blip.

the earthquake map on usgs is still there, theres a red star in the centre with the title 'yellowstone national park'

ive uploaded this image

img101.imageshack.us...

with an aerial view of yellowstone + a map of what look's to be a picture of the caldera's / highest points etc, though i was looking for a birds eye anyway.

Look's to me like that 3.5 was smack bang in the centre of a caldera?

im quite new to yellowstone, though this is the first quake ive seen reported in the park, most seem reported from outside a nearby the border.
Directly west of that lake that look's like a dude with a humpback and a large penis, the earthquake seem's to have taken place here (if it wasn't a mistake and they've just forgotten to take this image of the earthquakes location down), on top of the caldera. : /

Again, im not at all an expert.

The reliability comes from the suppliers of the information, not the addon. Personally I would not have uninstalled it just because of a small glitch (or two) in the provider's information.
