Yes the caldera rim is a weak spot and in the simulations of an eruption developed by the geologists, they show the rim rupturing and then the whole
rim opening up like a zipper. Then when enough magma is displaced, the roof falls into the void.
But the rim is not the only weak spot. There is the fault from the earlier caldera running throught the lake. And there are spots were the magma is
only 5km from the surface. This would be considered a weak spot as well because the crust is heated and this could cause a rupture.
In December there were about 70 quakes for the month. At the moment, this swarm has produced about 70 quakes of various magnitudes. And it doesn't
seem like it's slowing or ready to stop talking.
When I made my prediction on this thread on Dec. 29th, saying there would be a similiar situation to the swarm last year, I also made another
prediction. I realized that even if I was correct and a swarm began on the weekend of the 15th- 17th, I knew it would be ignored and disputed. That
prediction seems to also to have come true. Sunday morning when it seemed quiet, I was relieved because I would not have to go through the ordeal of
trying to convince anyone that I understand what's happeining at Yellowstone. It's like a bad disaster movie where no one listens to the guy who's
stumbled upon a developing phenomenon and no one believes them until it's obvious, and that only happens at the most dramatic moment. If the moon has
enough gravitational power to change the shape of the earth and change the levels of entire oceans, then why can't it change the movement of liquids
in crust and in the magma chamber. I say it has, and this swarm, and last year swarms, which happened when the moon was in a similiar cycle. This is
strong evidence supporting my prediction and hypothesis.

Shirakawa, I value your opinion. What do you say about my claim that I knew there was going to be a swarm? You said at one point after one of the
earlier large quakes that it would stop. When you said that, I knew there were many many more to come. I said Jan. 15-17. The first quake in the YMR
area happened on the 15th, there were half a dozen on the 16th, and the big show started on the 17th. I don't know how I could have been any more
specific.
Even though I knew my prediction would be accurate, and I knew that it would be dismissed and ignore, it still doesn't help quell my frustrations.
No one believed the trappers who came back to civilization with stories about the amazing landscape we now call Yellowstone. I understand, it's only
human nature.
Do I resign myself to the fact that no one will ever believe my story? Or do I keep calling out in the wilderness.
