Q.
Does there seem to be any cycle to the 20 yr. data or more random?
Do you have off hand the higher level yrs.?

No, not 2 years...2 decades.
But it's very easy to do. You just input the dates and it makes the graphs for you, so the "creating" part mainly involves making sure to input the right numbers. Didn't take an awful long time to create and save them all, but it was very interesting to then run them through a viewer and compare them with the brain/blink method.

You can try it yourself on this page at the USGS Waterdata Site.

Wish I'd known about this page days ago when I was drawing graphs by hand on the ol' "squared" graph paper!

Also, this global warming and the greenhouse effect has got my airconditioner in the closet! I am looking forward to tomorrow's big event! Global cooling and the icebox effect! Ha ha ha. Have a glacier! Or just HAVE A COLD ONE. Oh my goodness! Now we are in for another ice age! Hear about that one yet!?!? "Guess we've only scraped the tip of the ICEBERG" on this one so far.... Get a winter coat! Get a beer! Get a gun! Get some sunscreen! Get a bicycle! Get some emergency food and a genarater! And dont forget the chips! And by all means get a television set so you can keep updates with all this farfetched end of the world bizzare! Boy these guys make me laugh!

Has anyone been looking at the lake in high res. Google Earth? I do not know how old the sat picture is, but you can see VERY large cracks under the lake, right where the swarm was happening.

Well it's set at 50mv...so low setting for weak signals...it does show up on others at higher settings but smaller values...so it is SOMETHING ...and that's all I got to say about that

Doesn't show up on the other stations at all, and it looks so consistent that it appears to be machinery of some kind.

That is ice. If you look at Elephant Back to the north of the lake, you'll see there is snow. Quickbird satellites cannot look through water.

Yellowstone continues to be very interesting but would someone please check out the webcorder for Elliston, Montana (ELMT EHZMB) or Helena Valley (HRY EHZ MB). These recorders have been ROCKIN! Could that ancient magma chamber below Stillwater be refilling? Just wondering what others think. Would this be related to the Yellowstone activity?

While it's true that it doesn't show on other stations (with so strong signals it's almost 100% proof that it's a local glitch) the consistent appearance is due to the traces being clipped on the chart, in my opinion

I might differ on that. Green at the edges of the water still indicate warmth and there is a misty patch of white at center image.
Ice works from land out . not on its own in the center of the water.
My thought is clouds

Woah. I have noticed that the Montana webicorders seem to overreact to wind/etc, and I don't know how close these places are to cultural activity, but these are definitely interesting to look at.

Some links to look at:

Would that be a different bird then that took the images of the ocean floor?

Zoom this around...take a look off the Oregon coast. That certainly isn't ice.

Rather surprising to look at. I don't think it's a harmonic tremor though, as it isn't on any other sensors. I'm not sure of the roads in that area, but if it was plowing the event would start off low amplitude, peak and then settle back down to low amplitude as the tractors/plows got further away.

Now being the practical sort, I think, that if someone drove a snow cat up there and parked it on a mostly cleared road, we might see a vibration like that as it idled. Though it would be wasteful of fuel.

On the other hand, if that sort of tremor was on multiple monitors, I'd be on my ways to Home Depot for an emergency purchase of masks, water containers and so on.

4 more known volcanic vents not too far from YPP. I don't know if it means anything but thought it worth a mention. You charts and graphs guys are the brains of this operation - I'm more of a spectator.
