Thank you for posting that in great detail! Sometimes my typing fingers can't quite explain what my brain is thinking.

I am new here so I don't want to start a thread but it would be nice if we had a "local" thread to wander off topic and discuss our observations, or lack of. If somebody is interested please start one so we can chat without cluttering this thread.

I have been there. Something else you would have learned if you had read the entire thread, instead of just coming into it at the end. Most of the links you have posted mean nothing. Not once have you shown us graphs that shown anything like we have been seeing for the past few days. Sure you have shown us smaller examples of the "noise" that we are talking about, but NOTHING to the same scale as we are seeing. Wind is a VERY common occurance at the Park, hell Wyoming is one of the windiest states in the union, but the wind is almost a daily event. The past few days have been NOTHING typical. I would love to beleive that this is just a wind event too, but it is impossible for me to conclude that. Maybe you "opinions" would carry more weight if you didn't come across as a condescending ass. This has been an incredibly long, yet wonderfully cooperative thread. At least until you showed up. Try toning down your rhetoric a little bit and don't treat everyone here like they are idiots, it just makes you look like one.

Yes, mine has been active, but suddenly in the past little bit LKWY and 17 are going nuts. 18 however is not reporting again. That one keeps going off and on.

I did see the one in Indonesia. Wow.

Fellow ATS members please notify me by email when Yellowstone is going to erupt. I want to be the first one to call CNN and let them know.

Apologies if you've had this posted before, but I've been using UUSS Webicorder (Seismogram) Displays, Yellowstone Region and found it pretty good.
I'm sure it's all the same data but these can be magnified to make viewing them easier (just refresh the page to update them).

Cheers!

I hope not, because in the past 10min there have been a 7.6, 7.8, and another 7. something but I just can't remember it. If those go off in yellowstone, then expect to see a b00m!

Yes, larger than usual long period movements.
I think these should be of harmonic nature.
Other stations are experiencing the same waves too, by the way.
But maybe they have something to do with those large Indonesia EQs reported before.

Hmmm are there any reports from geologists in the region reporting a very marked increase in degassing of the magma underneath? Seems to me, if there was renewed magma welling up in the caldera, we should be seeing a dramatic spike in CO2, SO2, SO4, and other gases usually associated with a very likely or imminent eruption.
