Are you then saying that you will be our early warning system?
If so , thank you.

Yeah same here. Being at a TV station, we have the exact same thing.. may be same model as for radio.
If it says anything about this situation, trust me.. it would be posted here even before I hit the button to send it on air.

OK, instead of trying to bust into this thread on page 130 with your theory, why don't you go back and read the whole thing.
I did, and I laughed at the past few hours. You guys want to deny ignorance yet can't distinguish from a wind saturated webicorder?
Again, as I said there's quite a nice swarm going on. And maybe instead of staring at a lot of wind generated noise creating pretty multicolored squiggly lines, you should go look at the ones less noise saturated. Or do I need to hold your hand and point out the real possible harmonic at Old Faithful this afternoon? Deny ignorance is the motto isn't it? Go open the webicorder and go look for yourself. Warning though, it's not as 'dramatic'.

Got it from the Utah website. Don't blame me if they can't keep their site updated.
Second, where is this wind generated noise over the past few years?
Oh you mean these?
How about the Mary Lake siesmo for starters, shall we?

How about Yellowstone Lake?

Or should I go research some more and waste my time finding MORE examples for garbage on webicorders I've seen before in the past at the cascades? Even the guy that runs that archive site admits noise and wind garbage and gives an example. Maybe if i get lucky I too can find the same type of activity on the some cascade archives just to drive the nail home.
Are you telling me this is the first time it has been windy in the park in that timeframe?
And as I pointed out at first, even the Utah website admits that SOME of the Yellowstone seismos ARE susceptible to wind noise. You assume that there's no past activity showing wind noise, which I just posted above.
Third, why is the graph just now starting to normalize despite the fact that the winds are as strong now as they have been all day?
Gee, I WONDER and i just WONDER if it's because the winds are now a nice 8mph-11mph from the south without gusts. Or should I screen shot the current conditions from weather.com? You decide.
I appreciate your "effort", but maybe you should do a little more research before you come in to "solve" this issue.
The swarming wasn't solved, the noise was. Stay focused.
What you have added to this thread has been discussed over MANY pages. There are MANY reasons why the "noise" wouldn't show up at Upper Falls.
Actually that question is for you champ, considering it's in between two seismos people have been posting as harmonic yet it shows nothing of the sort. Lets forget that the upper falls one is closer to the swarm than others. I'll await your answer, or do you need a map of the seismo locations to assist?
Maybe you can look that up and report back to us. I will grade your work. This is most certainly not a wind event. You will find the reasons I state that discussed on pages 1 through 130.
You want to grade my work?
