Yes!

And locals at the Red Pheasant First Nation, 100 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon, said the walls of their band office shook when the fireball streaked overhead.

I also read this (about the noise) on the albertatradesman site, of eyewitness reports.

There is a security camera video of the meteor that's pretty decent considering the speed of the event. It's the CTV news Edmonton security camera. Google it.

This meteor came up behind me when I was driving home to Vermilion, Alberta. What I read about what people in Edmonton saw was nothing compared to what we saw here, or in some cases, felt. Southeast of Lloydminster, people were actually reporting their homes shaking after it 'hit' (bright light went out, followed by thunderous rumble, then rattling houses), and Lloydminster authorites were actually sent into the area to try to find it. That's the best indication I've heard about where it might actually have landed, if it made it to earth. Completely amazing though, when seen from a rural highway with no other lights around. Bright like burning magnesium.

ps- no military present. conspiracy doubtful.

Hi There,

I skipped a few pages on this thread; and I'm unsure as to whether or not this is even relevant. I saw the "meteor" tonight, on my drive home from work. I was on the Southside of Edmonton (close to Southgate Mall) and I literally felt a rumbling, heard a rumbling and then the flash as you already know. Further to that, and this is the part I'm unsure of being relevant, and I find it odd it hasn't been noted, shortly after (within seconds) Military Jets swooshed over... I don't know if that's important or not.

I saw what appeared to be a bright flare dropping down from the sky at about
5:30 pm . I was driving on the yellowhead and it happened approx at the
97 rd exit. It was really bright and kind of freaked me out a little. I just
assumed it was a flare but it seemed much brighter.

Nowadays almost everyone either has camera phone or a digital camera, so why would nobody record it?

There is a possibility it did not land. It could have skipped off of the upper atmosphere and gone back into space.

Believe me, there will be a lot of people trying to figure out if and where it landed.

Ladies and gentlemen ,

This object was, in most probability, a Bolide.
source: Caltech

Meteor
(a) Fragment or particle that enters the Earth's atmosphere and is then destroyed through friction, becoming visible as this occurs as a momentary streak of light. At certain times of the year, meteors apparently emanating from a single area of the sky (a radiant) form meteor showers. They are thought to originate within the Solar System. see also Meteorite [A84]
(b) A "shooting star" - the streak of light in the sky produced by the transit of a meteoroid through the Earth's atmosphere; also the glowing meteoroid itself. The term "fireball" is sometimes used for a meteor approaching the brightness of Venus; the term "bolide" for one approaching the brightness of the full Moon.
(emphasis, mine)

Here is a website that shows several videos of bolides (some in broad daylight)

Commentary:
This thread is an exemplary example of how the ATS global community can have an incredible edge
in communication technology of the highest order. In just a few short hours, this observed phenomenon has been collaboratively analyzed by one of the finest investigatory groups in the world. ATS.

Each of the posters in this thread brought significantly substantive information to the topic.(didn't you?) I have also noticed some new members (first posters) in this thread! Welcome!

Imagine for a moment, if this had been an actual meteor or asteroid impact on a largely populated city. What would the ATS community do? Observe the devastation from the comfort of our keyboards? Or would this user driven "ecosystem" rise to the occasion and mobilize our collective formidable power of communication and resources to bear to aid our fellow man?

ATS has grown to such proportions, that this community most assuredly has the capacity to effect such humanitarian lofty goals.

Just a thought.

Think about it.

Peace

James Michael DuPont is apparently the true identity of "Hacker Mike." I just watched one of his videos on the open source movement and freedom for Kosova, available on his YouTube site.

I think it's highly likely that he's streaming text from some historical archives about meteors through his vocal text-reader and YouTube hack. This of course still does not answer the question of what connection he has to the simultaneous occurrence of this giant fireball. Maybe he's just trying to capitalize on all the search results??

Zooomer,

Be sure to investigate the area if possible. If there were a military presence on the scene (larger than usual, I think it could be a crashed UFO (government made craft). I wont think the pilot would be receiving a 401k, lol

Keep use posted about the analysis.

Peace to all,

This is precisely the reason why I joined this group. Not just fanciful, half-baked ideas and conspiracies getting tossed around... (although we do get a fair share of those) ...but real, genuine research and investigation into strange occurrences like this.
