Right, now you want people to cite "reputable sources". Have you not seen your own posts on other threads?

I mean, it was you that compared Obama to Hitler because a black college fraternity dressed in fatigues, and chanted about how Obama inspired them. I'd love for you to find a reputable source about that.

Some of them look pretty young, true, but you must be forgetting your early days. I believe I probably looked 14 when I was a freshman in college.

Look it up, they were part of the group "Alpha Phi Omega for Obama". It also explains their chant at the beginning.

It's funny to know that people here were posting about how this group was a symbol of things to come and no one had even bothered researching who they were.

I am a Christian, but several of my non-christian friends are convinced that there is going to be a race war. I am not so paranoid. I do believe that at some point in time, just as every other nation has done, that this nation will fall in some way or will lose much of its power, influence, and authority! It's a sad thing, but it is true!

The only power that will last 1,000 years with ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY will be that of Jesus Christ. Every nation will lose out, it is just a matter of time, and the way that the USA is set up, this will not happen anytime soon...at least not until the balance of power and authority is taken away from each state by someone, some agency, or some government.

My belief is this: That as long as Jesus rules the lives of just a few Christians, this USA will be protected from race wars, government takeovers, and international takeovers. But, as soon as this USA overcomes the Christians, and speaks continual evil against the few Christians that may still exist, this USA will most definitely fall to the wayside in more ways than one!

MY hope is this: That the USA will unite together trusting in Jesus! But, from what I have been seeing in the news and online, this USA is most definitely headed in a direction that will make the rest of the world pale in comparison concerning disasters, corporate takeovers, and a martial law that is just as hateful as any other previous nation that has come and gone in humanity's history!

I PRAY for the protection, the direction, and leadership of Obama! Not because I voted for him (because I certainly voted for the Republicans), but because it is the right thing to do! It is too late now to be second guessing Obama! It is time to support him! And, IF Obama does do anything to destroy TRUE FREEDOM worse than it has already been destroyed, then each and every civilian should be prepared to stop him before he does more damage!

You may be asking..."What damage?" Ha! What damage? I tell you, that because of crime, greed, and hate, many of our cherished FREEDOMS have been taken away, ALREADY!!! This is what has happened all throughout human history! GREED takes away from the poor. HATE caused by the GREED causes CRIME to grow exponentially! Look at the Automobile Manufacturers! They create a device that has become a NEED for nearly everyone! Then, after many years of milking people globally, they suddenly find that the people stop buying something that costs 1,000s of times more than it costs to make it, and then they, THROUGH SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH, create those things to break down in just a few years! And, now, they try to act like they don't understand why sales have fallen! Corporations and Governments like them steal from the people, then when the people defy them those same Corporations and Governments expect the government to bail them out!!!!

This happens because of GREED, HATE, and CRIME! Just today I saw on the news an American BUS that had written on its side, "There may not be a GOD, so just enjoy life.". It said something to that effect. I do not remember the exact words! Guess who decided to have that put on the bus? THE GOVERNMENT!!! This is dangerous business, friends! And, it is only going to get worse! Just as Germany began to become HUMANISTIC that is when that BEASTARD HITLER came into power! This is the same fate of nearly, MAYBE ALL, previous governments that have completely fallen! Once Jesus is removed from being believed in then that is when a dictator will take over, and there is not a darn thing anyone will be able to do about it!

The next worldwide dictator will be a man called THE BEAST or THE ANTICHRIST! He will rule the entire world, and if you do not worship him, or take his mark to buy and sell, you will get your head removed! This is very real, and THAT is what you should be concerned about, because when that time comes you will either join him, or you will wish you were dead. So, don't worry about leaders...PRAY FOR THEM! PRAY FOR THEM!

Funny, many on the outside of religion see how it is often used to divide up the rest of us. It was used against blacks, and Jews. It is currently used against Muslims and gays.

I think religion can be a positive aspect in many people's lives, but much of that is canceled out by its misuse to achieve immoral goals.

Just look at what the Obama democrats already have already dreamed up in advance of Obama seizing power.

1) A national youth corp, for brainwashing our youth into the Marxist groupthink.

2) A plan to seize all of our savings starting with our 401Ks and IRAs so that we can get on with 'wealth redistribution'.

3) Stopping all defense related research...

Its a done deal I think. A soviet style dictatorship is in the works.

Using religion AGAINST any group, Black, Jewish, muslim is wrong.
Man is human and does things through ignorance of scripture.
The only disciples or apostles that did any violence was Peter in the Garden of Gathsemene, when he cut off the Roman soldiers ear and Jesus rebuked him, picked up the ear and healed it.

This thread is really simply amazing. In a lot of ways it really embraces what ATS is all about, in other ways it really embraces all the things some can dislike about ATS.

Seems to me there are misconceptions all across the board on this topic. I especially love the whole, "Your calling Obama a Nazi" nonsense. Truth be known, I am not calling him a Nazi at all. I am not even comparing him to Hitler. What I am doing is pointing out what I am reminded of from our history. Yes, a "Civilian Security Force" reminds me of Hitler's Brownshirts. How a person can take that statement and turn it into, "your calling Obama another Hitler" is beyond me. If that was what I wanted to say, I would come right out and say it. If Obama is doing something that reminds me of the work of Mother Teresa , and I say it does, does that mean Obama is another Mother Teresa?

Obama is a very inspirational Speaker. I have also reminded people that Hitler was as well. Am I saying Obama is another Hitler by pointing it out? Of course not! The message you should take away from it is..people were fooled by Hitler. Adolf Hitler WAS an inspirational speaker. People BELIEVED in him. People also BELIEVE in Obama. People were fooled by Hitler, why is it so hard to fathom that people may also be fooled by Obama?

Now going to the topic at hand... I have said all through out this thread that the context of Obama's speech is without any doubt about Community Service. It is about giving back and helping each other to achieve and move forward. A great message and one that only an idiot would disagree with.

Then we get to the words that are the topic of this debate. "Civilian Security Force". As I have said many time in this thread, Community Service and Security Force are two totally different things. That is the problem here.

So what is Community Service? I found many definitions that I could have used here, but I chose one that really, in my opinion, captures more of EXACTLY what Obama's speech was about.

As one can easily see the difference between a "Security Force" and "Community Service" is like night and day.

Is it possible that Obama misspoke? My feeling is sure why not? Anything is possible. Do I believe he misspoke or simply choose a poor selection of words? No I do not. If that makes me a fear monger, a neo con, a racist, or what have you, than so be it. If that means I have some huge ego...fine. Call it what you will.

To address the "ego" remark and why I would have to make a statement that says I am not hiding... that would be cause I have been around ATS for a very very long time. Years longer than the date on my avatar. I know what happens in debates such as this when one poster stops posting for any length of time. Anyone who has ever spent some time in the 9/11 forum could probably relate and understand exactly what I am saying. So if that is what you choose to call ego, so be it.

I believe I was talking to someone else, who posted a video of some fraternity boys chanting about Obama, and then posted a video of Hitler in comparison.

Really, however, it is jumping the shark to really be frightened of this "Civilian Security Force" since no one is even for sure it was said in the context of which you believe. Many believe he was just saying it in context of programs that already exist, such as Green Peace.

So, really, maybe you should write someone or try to gather more intel on it before you get worried and try to spread propaganda about it. That' just my honest opinion.

I do not like forming opinions on topics when I have no real information about them.

You are CORRECT. They are not in college. They go to a school that has students from 5th grade to 9th grade. Here is the info on the charter school:

First, where do you get that information from? When I reference that video, I always get that they are in a fraternity, which makes sense when you view this video:



It's not something they just did for Obama. It is something that black fraternities do, in general. It is not Obama's fault, nor is it indicative that he is creating some sort of Nazi-like group.

Nothing in my post was aimed at you. You are not the only person to throw around the, "Your calling Obama a Nazi" remark and you certainly did not aim it at me, so why would you think I was referring to you?

You say it is "jumping the shark" to be scared of this "Security Force"...can you show me any post where I said they should be feared or that I was scared? Or has my postings been more about the difference between "Community Service" and a "Security Force"? The majority on my postings here have been about language.

I realize many people believe that he was just saying it in the context of programs that already exist. Again I have to ask... one of the first things he said was "we need to create" so why would we need to "create" something that already exist? Building onto a program that already exist or expanding on it would make perfect sense to me, but how does one "create" a program that is already here? By saying "we need to create" tells me it will be something new.

You expect me to "write someone and gather more intel" on what Obama really means, but even the MSM has not been able to find out. Obama has not answered any further questions about it, yet you think it is realistic for me to find out? I'd also like to ask how am I "spreading propaganda"? Is it "propaganda" for me to point out that the definition of "Security Force" and "Community Service" are totally different?

I have not formed any opinion about this statement...I have said repeatedly that we will have to wait and see. With that in mind, these statements should raise a red flag. So what does that mean? It means it should be watched. It means we should pay attention and not go back to sleep. That's what it means.

I had to read through several pages, so I had numerous post in mind when I made my own and again, you are not the only person to make a statement such as that.

I removed you from my ignore list, just long enough to let people know that it is YOU who don't research before you post. That is why I put you on my ignore list when you posted as Sublime620-all you ever posted was one-line wise cracks, and never, IMHO, contributed anything positive to the threads.
It was YOU who stated that this group was a COLLEGE FRATERNITY, and that I must never have been on a college campus, even though you know I am a retired professor. If YOU would research before your one-liners, something I always required of my students, maybe you would learn something on your own, rather than asking everyone for THEIR sources, in other words, THEIR research. In college, we could call that plagiarism. At a minimum, it is just plain lazy.

For your information, there are over 268,000 hits on the Urban Community Leadership Academy. In fact, there are even full transcripts of the head of the school being interviewed about the Obama video. Try Google before you post.

While he took many cheap shots about one-liners, what can you expect me to say sometimes? People such as himself come on here and post a giant responses that at no point reference any sources.

So it is my responsibility to go research other people's claims? Professor, I am certain you never told your students that they didn't need to source their claims because it is everyone else's responsibility to do that for them.

If he would look into my posts, he would see that most times when I make a claim, there is research and evidence posted behind it. I try my best to use reputable sources and post things that can be taken as fact. The only time I don't is if I've had to repeat myself multiple times.

So, while he may be a former college professor, I don't suppose he spent much time with his students, or possibly he just didn't have any black fraternities in his school - I can't be certain. What I am certain of is that what he continues to reference in those videos is normal for black fraternities.

In fact, just last post, I made two references to other black fraternities that have done this in the past in youtube videos. Of course, that post got no attention from anyone who has accused Obama as being Hitler-like.

After asking for a source multiple times, I was told to search myself by him, so I have. Here's the first one I get:

But I suppose that's not enough for you guys. You need what, an apology from Obama, who has nothing to do with this?

They are a junior fraternity, and they were mimicking Alpha Phi Omega, a fraternity who dresses up in fatigues and does similar stomping. Now, I am not sure if this was the teacher's idea, but I agree that it is inappropriate for any teacher to force his/her ideals on a student. Of course, the teacher was punished and the correct steps were taken to resolve the situation.

So, put me on ignore if you want, but just know that I will continue to rebut every post you make comparing Obama to Hitler. It's completely baseless, and it truly only deserves a one-line response: CRAZY.
