Rich? I dont think so! FYI my hubby and I work our butts off for what we have and save our money. I dont qualify for a tax break becasue I dont have kids. If i had a kid or two i'd get thousands back because I'm that kind of broke.

agreed, if the goal was to make the national debt x10 greater than it was when clintion was in office Bush won. if the scam of the century was to take hundreded of billions of dollars to save ceo's pensions and support bad business practices, bush won. you know if bush would have told the people that at the end of his term that people would be paying blownup prices for home with receding value and that he was taking tax payers monies for the wealthy he might not have gotten elected, and i do rememeber a promise from bush to "find dead or alive bin laden" that he could not keep even with all the intelligence and satellites. i think the coke got to bushes brain.

I am not sure who you are refering to with "you people" but what makes you think black has anything to do with it.

I vote for the candidate I find the best for me and my beliefs, don't assume everyone is motivated by race.

This would have been true no matter who won. When choosing of lesser evils you still get stuck with evil. The American dream has always just been a dream...and the blueprints are that of a pyramid scheme. This machine and all it's past and future events have been exemplified over again through history. The only ones to blame are us the PEOPLE! Passing the buck is what they do and when people conscious or subconsciously realize that they show there true nature of fear/laziness/jealousy/inadequateness and such! Almost all of us are just like those leaders believe it or not. All things come from god and the world leaders only mirror what the majority are like. Scared to death about natures laws and so react like a cornered animal and throw out the window the only things that make us humans and set us apart from the rest. We ascend and descend every time we sacrafice.

They even tried to get canadian lumber for 1/3 of the harvest price... and when we refused; they invented some crazy cow dicease, to prevent us from exporting our beef anywhere on the planet... not cause it was dangerous... but rather to sell american beef to ALL canadian customers. 10years later not a single case of crazy cow as been reported; nobody has that terrible sickness... and guess what we haven't change a thing since; but all of a sudden it is OK to eat our beef. Now that everything has gone public in canada, their next move was to make us think that "Listeria" was coming and they were going to shut down Maple Leaf company.... bla bla bla

I go back a couple of years, to see in afghanistan and irak, people with anti-us flags, yelling out that the US were lying, they were the murderers and so on... well these guys were,are,and will always be right! They wont allow women to show their face; but yet they were brilliant enough to figure that one out?!?! How about we go ask them who they think killed JFK, # maybe they know... and it was on the aljazeera news back in '63

The problem with your entire view is that you are 100% wrong.

Obama will set this country on a course of providing clean energy. You wanna explain to your children why the sky is brown because no on was willing to take the right steps in pushing a free market down a morally just path?

Oh, and as for your taxes and gone is this n that... most of what you are worried about being gone has been for some time. What I wanna know is how do you even contrive the conclusion that somehow the rich will no longer be rich? People in this country will always have a difference in opinion as to who should pay what as long as we use a bracket system (which both candidate has been for). And the problem with a flat tax is that is would bankrupt this country because of the large divide between upper, middle, and lower class. Many would argue that the rich have not been paying their fair share scince the bush tax cuts. Well guess what, now those cuts will shift to the middle class from the upper class. This needs to happen in our bracket system, otherwise the middle class will drowned, and then guess what, the pillars that support the upper class will also fail.

Where you people come up with these silly conclusions is beyond me. But I have enough faith in my country and it's people to fathom we would allow a "terrorist" or "communist" to rise to the highest office in the land.

I say, prove it, because you can't.

(god forbid McCain won, and pushed the socialist ideals that the government should step in and purchase a house for you, or provide you with cash to go buy low grade medical insurance thus "spreading the wealth" - point is, the view you create is based on your perspective)

Edit to Add - tor the record, I supported McCain (though I think his VP pick was a joke, and he did not reflect his true character on the campaign trail) and though he did not win, Obama will be my new president, and I believe he has the capacity to unite us, and tear down more of these red/blue divides, which does give me hope for America as a whole.

Everyone having healthcare benefits all. Instead of only looking at self interest, the effects on society are better.
Of course, who cares about everyone else?
If you start your own business, and can't afford to give out health care, you have employees who do not have it for themselves and their families. They are going untreated. They are going to call out a lot because they are sick. They run the risk of handing stuff of to you and your children at school. Production will go down.

The cost of healthcare is not going to be remotely near the cost of these wars and these bailouts. We will feel the effects of those before the monetary effects of healthcare.

there are many countries out there that have national healthcare that are run better then our private healthcare. And despite the rumor that is passed around here, they are quite happy with it. I have spoken to people who have experienced American healthcare and their nationalized and they would rather have their nationalized.

I can't speak for our European collegues here, maybe they can chime in. But the ones I have are getting a little disconcerted wtih their system, just because it has become more capitilized lately, and the quality has gone down.

I run among the group of Americans who have health care they can't afford. it goes up every single year. It went up another 160 dollars a month and jumped to a 2400 deductible. It is bankrupting us.
We could pay for a mortagage what we pay for healthcare every single month. And we have meager salaries.

And as much as we pay, we still receive a ton of bills for what is not covered.

How fair is that?

Ah, that was during the up and down roller coaster. Between FDR and Reagan there was an up and down as the presidency changed so much. No one finished two full terms did they? No one could affect any thing because they either got shot or got caught trying to rig the election or lost their bid. But before that you have republicans, Great Depression. FDR, pulled us out of it. Then the roller coaster of up and down, new president every week practically, then 12 years of republican rule and Reaganomics and... tanked. Clinton pulls things out by not being a Neocon, then a Neocon gets in and... tanked again.
