Excellent post OP.

Its sad listening to these comments about Obama but it's exactly as the powers to be want it and that is and always has been to keep us all divided. It's a diversionary tactic to keep us from addressing the real issues at hand, that they're primarily responsible for such as :

* Our Economy and economic future
* The creation of domestic jobs to aid working class Americans.
* Educational competitiveness here and abroad to help secure our future by educating our children.

I originally come from Ohio and I know these people well. They are very representative of most if not all of rural America. They're not bad at all but they are, as we all are, products of our society. In their case, a rural, primarily segregated society. Most have never ventured far from where they have lived most of their lives and their view of the outside world is primarily shaped by what they're fed by the MSM, which is fear. Fear of the unknown.

The US Military was segregated until 1949 . Once the military became integrated and military people of all ethnicities began working along side one another they all had something in common, and that was simply, a job to do.

Perhaps one day we'll come to that realization... and leave the baggage behind, for we've all a job to do as Americans, irregardless or whether our name is Obama or O'Reilly. It doesn't really matter, because we're all Americans.

And yes if there is a video of any Obama supporters saying they're not voting for McCain because he's white I'd love to see it, cause frankly I watch a whole lotta CNN (pro DEM) and I've never seen anything like that.

Also hopefully the thought from the other 50% of americans that McCain is too Old and that he will probably die within his first 4 years will off set these racist bigots.

You aren't looking hard enough. There is PLENTY of racism in the Obama supports coming from black people, making statements about how they are voting for Obama because he is black and taking racist shots at white folks.

It just happen to happen that white people always had the means to travel around and wiped off an entire Island of its people, and take all the gold and bring it back to the white kings and queens.

Yes, we have come a long, long way and MANY white people don't behave or see racial differences as back in the days but, how dare you say that black people don't want to be Doctors, dentist and so, and they just want to be rappers, singers and sport stars? How dare you imply that?

I guess all black people are rappers or have the gang mentality, so you say; or all black people are good at sports.

I have black friends that make about 4 mils dollars a year because they went to school, but it wasn't easy for them. They encountered MANY racial obstacles.

Do you know the term 'old money'?

how many black people can say they are wealthy because of old money, and how many whites can say that?

Please, I know you are voicing your opinion but don't box people in, don't generalize and best of all, don't fall in the same category of those people(black,white,blue,red) that stereotype every one.

Edit to add: One more thing. Just Google Black professionals and you will find an infinity of them.

I think what we are witnessing is the "perfect storm". Americans are already hurting because of gas prices, stock market tumbles, dishonest government, mortgage failures, etc....I could go on and on. The sad thing that this presidential campaign has done is prove that racism and sexism are alive and well in the old US of A in 2008. My concern is what will happen either way the election goes. People are fuming so badly over things that are out of their control in this country, I am afraid that one "emotional" hit to anyone (think of how emotionally attached people are getting in this election, from BOTH sides) could really start a civil war....then comes martial law, and God knows what else. Another thing, don't be downing Christians as a whole.....I am a VERY spiritual person (not religious) and it's hard not to see the state of our world today and not believe Revelations.....the church is dying, and taking it's members with it. That's why you see "Christians" acting like that.

How? If anybody created a monster it is Obama. Did Obama not tell his supporters to get in people faces? Did Obama not say people cling to guns and religions? Did Obama not say he didn't look like the people on the dollar bills? Who is the one who is always trying to invoke race? Obama and the Democrats. What did Murtha say about his constituients? Then Obama supporters open up threads like this and use garbage like the one on the video to portray McCain in the same light. Tell Obama to go to Comptonand give one of his rallies. You will see the same ignorant fools like the one in the video. The only difference will be skin color.

The first video is clearly BIASED "find the dullest tool in the shed and stereotype them with ALL of the rest of em. Typical smear campaign.

I always like it when somebody says something that I totally agree with. That's why I'm completely non-partisan. All this left vs. right is killing us as a nation, and has been for a very long time and i get the feeling that it only gets worse over time.

It's ok. I know it isn't your fault that you can't handle the truth.. I am sure you can blame it on somebody. Fact of the matter is that at every given opportunity democrats have tried to bran all Republics as racist and it just isn't the case. you will find racist in both parties and in all colors. I have seen good ATS members on this site get branded that label for merely disagreeing with Obama on the issues. His damn color has nothing to do with it. He is an American who is running for the highest office and some people disagree with Obama. That doesn't make them racist. On the other hand, people are trying to make Reps look bad for the comments or ignorance of a few. It is a two way street but dems try to portay it as one way.
