Well I really do hate to pop the bubble on this one because I wanted it to be true. But BFRO (BigFoot Field Researchers Organization)has called it a hoax and explains how the hoaxers did it and the back ground on the hoaxers.

why does everyone keep calling it a hoax just because theres a costume out that has similar facial features? that doesnt prove anything even if this whole thing is a hoax, the real bigfoot probaly does look similar to the costume. we can all wait and see tommarow if the dude doesnt provide proof or cnn or fox or whatever doesnt cover it , its definently a hoax but i still have hope that its real just wait.

I am very disappointed in most of the members participating in this thread.

What's with the awkward jokes? Is this based on fear at the idea of something so controversial being scientifically confirmed as a fact? Something mocked and dismissed by the "brains" of our society as being a reality?

You've written off any such discovery because you've compartmentalized the world?

What if Bigfoot isn't mystical, magical, or mythical but simply a BIOLOGICAL ANIMAL. A scientific discovery yet to be made.

I understand that you have written off accounts going back hundreds of years...written off the natives of America and other countries as wide-eyed simpletons....and mocked credible contemporary witnesses that have claimed to have encountered such a creature, but have you considered that you may be wrong?

The average citizen finds something incredible and you are surprised that in such a world they plan to try and make a buck? I don't blame them. Odds are they don't even have health insurance. Feel free though to mock them...but remember...the man who found an ancient world map at a garage sale also made a buck from the find and it was confirmed to be authentic. His opportunism or greed does not negate the reality of the object in question. Your attempts to disregard this potential find based on the actions of the discoverers is foolish. It only shows how you have cemented your understanding and bolted the doors of discovery so that nothing profoundly new may enter. So why the false pretense of exploratory opened-mindedness, when in actuality you have already defined EVERYTHING in the world under your own comfortable code

Meanwhile new species are being discovered all over the world.

This may turn out to be a hoax...it may be a ruse that these gentlemen are hoping no one catches on to. It may be a fake that any sane person would know would easily be discovered, even still consider this one thing: Maybe you DON'T have it all figured out. If you read my posts, that was my point all along.

Now, I am beginning to think that this *is* a hoax, but having seen bigfoot as a child, It was not an astonishment to hear that someone may have one.

I have no idea how someone can write off what is appearently just another hominid.

Sadly though, I am expecting this to dry up quickly.

The guy behind this, Carmine Thomas Biscardi has a looong record of bigfoot hoaxes. The body is a halloween costume with some intestines purchased from a butchers shot spread over it. Look carefully at the photo and you will see that the teeth are dentures. If there is a press conference, rest assured the 'scientists' will be paid stooges, the DNA 'evidence' will be manufactired and the clowns that perpetrated this will be looking to profit from the gullible. Rest assured that no one will ever get to see the 'body' . Its a real shame that scum like this continue to discredit real research in this area conducted by reputable organisations like BFRO.

its so sad there trying to compare that thing in the freezer to that costume and some of you actually believe it lol, it looks nothing like it, and for those who think it does need to really really take a closer look, put each pic side by side and compare the facial features, its completely different

I must say, I'm quite surprised at how some people are writing this off so quickly in this thread. You should only have to look at the new species of large mammals discovered in Vietnam over the past ten years or so to appreciate that we don't know what's lurking out there.

Regardless of the fact that the guys promoting this may have a flaky history, one's mind must be open to all possibilities. After all, there's only one day to wait.

Nice speech but the problem is not with the Bigfoot or its possible existence or discovery... the problem is with the Bozos and the way they are handling this...

If this is the most important discover of the millenium... why would you stuff it into a cooler where it can spoil? Or better yet be stolen? They sell t-shirts and make stupid videos... rather than take this thing to the Smithsonian?

IF they indeed have a real specimen there should be an outcry on how they are treating this...

The KEY WORD here is that it's happening in GEORGIA. Guess what's also happening in another GEORGIA. It's disraction. They want us focusing on BS.

Everyone's missing the point here. In the past few weeks we've seen El Chupacabra and The Montauk Monster discovered, and now Bigfoot. You add all of that with the people who have been seeing day suddenly turn to night and it all makes sense. Firing up the LHC temporarily ripped a hole in the fabric of our reality and out popped all of these monsters, duh.

Honestly though, I've been following this since late Tuesday night before the pics were leaked and it's pulled me out of my lurker status, that's a good thing, I think. I do hope this turns out to be real but I'll reserve judgement until after I hear what these so-called scientists have to say. I really want to believe this but you debunkers have done a great job of destroying my original excitment. I wouldn't say I'm doubting the story now although I quess I am, but the revelation that Biscardi is a known hoaxer gave me that sinking feeling that I've been fooled, AGAIN. I thought their was no way this guy would risk his reputation messing with hoaxers. Having a Bigfoot expert involved was huge for me, I felt like this is it, man was I excited. Anyway part of me feels like it's already over move on to the next one, the other part of me is holding out hope we actually have something here. Only time will tell I quess.

When that body comes up missing I'm going to be pissed.

just the fact that there are no.. I repeat no. refutable orginizations involved with this find.. proves that its a hoax... think a little bit people... if it was actually a big foot.. there would be a swarm of media after it, not just some blogs.. and a fox t.v interview.. which ,, by the way... the fox people doing that interview.. had all they could do to keep a straight face.. they were not taking the guy seriously
