BigFoot Found??? press conference scheduled.

Hypothetically, if Bigfoot is real and we discover it/him/her, what would we name it? I know there would be a scientific name (like verylargious bigfootious or something ) but what would we call it as a common name? Would we call it 'Bigfoot' (ie: Welcome to Taronga Zoo, on our left we have our Silverback Gorilla exhibition, and on our right we have our Bigfoots) OR do we choose another name?

Just a thought......

Well I dont know who these men are, But I think it is terrible that gun happy people can just destroy such a thing that was not bothering anyone. I think animal rights act. should get involved IT IS CRUEL!!!!

the video was shown, and the only reason it wasn't released to the public was because they are putting a documentary together on Sam Romanek.

i am not saying that what they say is true. but that is the official story. not too long ago though, i remember seeing someone post what was supposedly the REAL video on here, you should be able to find it on youtube if it is still around.

It all depends on where it fits in to the ape family tree. The species should be "magnus pes" for obvious reasons, though. What its genus would be is beyond me.

Yeah I thought of that the second I hit the 'Post' button but decided to let it stand and see what people said.

I never did like the name 'Sasquatch'. I don't know why. Somehow 'Bigfoot' gives it more personality or something.....

Regarding it's name:
I still think that the most creative is the Swamp Cabbage Man or Skunk Ape. Both of these have been used for years down here in Florida.

I can't resist telling my kids to "keep their eyes peeled for the Swamp Cabbage Man" everytime we go thruogh the everglades.

all of you "It could be real" freaks are insane, First let me be clear so theres no question, I wholeheartedly believe in bigfoot and alot of other crypto-monsters or whatever, but lets be realistic here for just a second, the DNA results are "classified", the body is held in an undisclosed location, which frankly is the first thing that told me this was all bull#, if it were real there would be all kinds of other tests being run at a museum or somthing, it would have been at least mentioned in one of those little scrolling bars on the news, and finally the press conference is "Top Secret"

Tom Biscardi has a terrible rep but I would love for this to be true. It is what the world has been waiting for. The conference is tomorrow so we will indeed find out if it is true or a just another hoax. Like people have said previously, if they cancel the conference, lose the body, the government took it, or any other lame reason for not showing us, it was a scam.
