The 1 item you would take to another planet

A video camera, of course.

Mine would probably be my laptop...or iPod Touch. I got UFO documentaries and UFO/Alien pictures on both. I could share it with them...kinda like a family album.

Yea I would have to as well, take my guitar...with being with an alien race I believe music can convey both words and emotions on completely different levels. Unless what we believe the typical advanced intelligence is telepathic so the guitar with be useful but not the first tool for communication...if that's the case, well then a laptop for a diary to record my experiences and possibly my wild and crazy adventures with them

I would definately take my Trombone, to share with the universe the glory of that most majestic King of all instruments.

Also to teach the Aliens an appreciation of jazz if they don't already have it.

I would take plants so I can make Ayahuasca and share it in case I meet someone else there.

I'd like to take a fold up mountain bike for fun and exercise (assuming it could be used).
If that doesn't work, Id just take a good knife to keep in touch with my roots.

I'd wanna take the PC I'm using to type this. It holds my games, music, music production software, graphic design software, game design software and can be used as a journal.

....OR....lots and lots of Pizza! (I love it, what can I say?)

Now that's just not true! Many will not believe. Some however will believe our videos are real just along with the videos of the cabage headed alien that has strings attached to make it move.

If truly restricted to just one item it would be my Treo. I have an 8gb micro-sd card for it and it has a lot of features including a camera so I would have to choose the one item I might be able to call or write home with as well as contact my other computers with. I would have to say that my Treo phone is the one item that would record my time there as well as give me the ability to contact home should we be close to Earth at some point.

and if that wasnt possible I would take my camera, it does stills and video with sounds it would be perfect.
