Oops.
Corrected.
"We are trying to stop this as soon as possible," Saakashvili said during a conference call with Western journalists Monday.
Saakashvili abruptly ended the call after 20 minutes, saying that Russian warplanes were flying over the presidential palace.
About 15 minutes later, an operator said "Russian planes were bombing near the president's location" and that the call would be rescheduled.

I made a mistake earlier on, Jet - the Sky News reporter is in the centre of Gori right now: the damage is extensive. Amazing live pictures.
Apologies for the mistake - it was all very confusing.
UPDATE: The fighting is ongoing.
Russia is warning that its troops will cross into the Georgian-controlled territory if Georgian troops in the area refused to disarm.

Meanwhile, Georgia rejected an ultimatum issued by a Russian general in Abkhazia, the other breakaway province, to Georgian forces nearby to disarm or face Russian troops moving into Georgian-controlled territory.
It marks a major escalation in the Russian-Georgian conflict. With most Georgian forces concentrated near South Ossetia, it could be hard for Georgia to repel the Abkhazian offensive.
Abkhazia has opened a new front in the Caucasus conflict by launching attacks on Georgian forces in support of neighboring South Ossetia.
Russian peacekeeping forces say Georgia is continuing to attack South Ossetia's capital Tskhinvali, despite claiming to have pulled back.

Yeah, it appears Russia is staging the next act of the show.
If it follows suit, they will state that Georgia did not agree to lay down arms, so they are going into Georgia proper.
I expect to hear that within the next 12-24hrs.
