Anyone who does not believe this is a fake needs to exit stage left.

I knew it was going to be a fake before even opening the photos. Why? The faux "I was so shook up I just had to come in here and post" line.

Everyone needs to give their BS meters a good tune up.

Why don't you take a load off and sit a while while the big people talk?

Disclaimer: I do not claim to know if these photos are real or a hoax. I am not a photo expert nor a UFO expert.

And while, I too am getting discouraged and tired of the all the fakes and hoaxes, I can see an up side. At the least, these are way better and more interesting than the flying cooling fan. If these are a hoax, at least our hoaxers are getting more creative and and better at what they do.

Many of you say that hoaxes do nothing for UFOlogy and nothing for ATS. I disagree.

1) They provide the bored ATS'ers sitting around waiting for someone to pounce on and belittle, make fun of, or insult something to do for a while.

2) They provide valuable experience for the photo analysts and an opportunity for the rest of us to use our brains.

3) They teach all the rest of the troglodytes waiting in the wings with the next hoax what NOT to do, thereby making it more likely that the next hoax pic will be something different (keeps it interesting) and a little better. It may also limit the number of future hoaxes as the hoaxers learn what won't work here because of the experts and experienced people we have ready to deal with them. In other words, we probably won't see another flying fan or another 3D wireframe model.

4) These photos - and all the others - are hopefully being put into a reference database somewhere with notes about what they were determined to be, so that they can be used to help analyze future photos.

5) If, three weeks from now, someone else should come up with a photo of an identical craft that is more compelling or has more circumstantial evidence in favor of it, we might reconsider these 2 pictures ....

6) When a picture comes along that our photo analysts and debunkers CAN'T debunk, everyone is more likely to sit up and take notice, and believe us, because of all the photos we have debunked. In other words, every photo which has been debunked by ATS but was good enough to fool the 'average person' will add to our credibility when "the one" surfaces.

yep, i agree with OneLifeTooLive and others that say this is a mesh. My first glance was like, mesh, i cant believe anyone would try this.
I could make pictures like this all day long. I dont want to! I want real photos! UFOology needs help from real photos, not graphic artist trying to get attention the wrong way!

How unfortunate. I would have said that was one cool looking UFO but not it turns out not to be real. These people have so much time on their hands.

Does anyone know why this thread is still here yet no posts show from the OP? If the OPs posts were removed by mods then at least the whole thread could be labeled a fake or something?

Those pics! That's pretty much what I saw fly over my house on the 4th of July... holy crap... Except only the leading edge of it was visible, and purple, and glowed, and was silent, and was just plain... . Took me by surpise completely. And it wasn't fireworks or smoke! It was very close overhead. I didn't post anything because I had no proof. It's what I saw, or I should say, that's what it looked like.

When a member is banned, I thought the post would remain and there'd just be a "banned" message. This is rather odd.
