cool cool photos.
if this is real then it's sad. if all the new UFo's have this transparent camouflaged technology then it will be harder for us mortals to see them.
but...
if they have this technology then why not take the extra small leap to invisibility?
my drukn silly logic tells me "smudge"

I agree. Being a student learning 3D modeling and wire framing, I have to say that I believe this is fake.

I'm not 100% on that but I believe your image, OneLifeTooLive, makes this 100% a hoax. If this were real, it would be difficult to recreate that object to the exact detail as you did.

Great job on the image

Good find, BlackMumba. Also, if you just increase the brightness on the first picture, you CAN make out what looks to be a wine glass on the left. Someone else saw it first and I looked and sure enough, there it was.

im not gonna lie to you. that looks like nothing. you cant see any distinguishing features and it could easily be a spot on the camera. you need a better camera because these photos don't prove anything. for some real proof, next time you see it shoot it outta the sky

You need a better monitor or better eyes. I can see bands in the thing (which reminds me of a wireframe 3d model) and a blue object inside the main disk in the second shot.

I don't go either way on these. They are nice photos though.

when i first saw the photos it reminded me of the USOs from the film THE ABYSS.

but yeah i can clearly see the geometric lines in the circle. why did he think this could pass as a hoax doesnt he know this abovetopsecret babbbyyyy..

for the sake of argument though, if it were a craft then the lines that we are seeing in the craft are part of its structural integrity.

Honestly, if I found something as compelling as this, this is the last place I'd send the photos. Try a bigger media outlet or something?

I'm calling Fake.

ACTUALLY, it's not even that compelling lol

IMO its a terrible fake.

To me the first image looks like a reflection and the second looks like wireframe cgi.

He was probably in the process of creating a hoax ufo picture but decided the wireframe looked better than the "final product".

Poor attempt.

edit: I see someone beat me to it. I'm suprised this thread actually lasted beyond the first page!

Common guys

Uh oh, sorry my BS detectors just got alerted. You can easily mail this from your blackberry and remain anonymous and you know it.

You're a veteran of the WoW forums, that means you have a web based email address. The blackberry is a new gadget, so I know you didn't sign up to Warcraft using your blackberry email. Just mail it from your blackberry to your Gmail/Yahoo/Hotmail, whichever one of those 3 you use.

And if you really protest and say you don't have a web based email address, you can easily get one. Or just use your ISPmail.

Unfortunately, if this is real, images don't prove anything these days.

Imagine taking a photo of a real UFO. How hard would it be for someone with good software skills to recreate?

Pity you didn't get the video of it. Good video with audio (especially if there are more witnesses around) would be much better. If 10 or so people were with you and you could hear their responses on the audio, it's pretty easy to tell if they are faking it or in genuine disbelief.

I carry a video camera on my belt at all times now. Next time I see one, I'm gonna get it good!

Thats true, but when the aliens happen to make their UFO out of a mesh that happens to look exactly like a nurbs sphere from Maya or Max is when the BS detectors fly up! Im NOT a skeptic but this kinda stuff does more harm than good IMHO.
Not to mention the other inconsistency's with the story it unfortunately doesn't add up.

You deserve a pat on the back good sir!

Probably one of the worst hoaxes in a long time.

Fake, because of inconsistencies in the story - if you were walking with dogs outside the house, why first photo appears to be taken from the inside the house?

Also, refusal to provide original raw images is indicator of hoax.

Sad

This is just more fodder for the ruling paradigm. The internet is not a medium for proof of UFO's.

You will NEVER - EVER - see a photo or video on your computer that someone can't attribute to digital manipulation. Or minimize due to artifacts involving compression and pixel interpolation.

Too bad really.

I miss analogue photography.

Then, scanning and 'digitizing' those renders them also, instantly suspect as well. So "Hello internet! Goodbye photographic evidence!"

I got to admit this seems legit to me. This actually looks like something I've heard others describe. Just to play devil's advocate, here is why I feel this might be legit:

-The op isn't defending critisizms every few mintutes. He really seems like he didn't post this to get attention, unlike most hoaxers.

-The op ufo's blend flawlessly with the background. While I'm sure the craft could be faked, it would still appear odd in the picture. Look at the other guys attempt tp recreate the ufo. It is obviously not part of the picture. Also anything can be cgi. Just because it can be recreated, doesn't mean it ain't real.

-Photo is good quality, and taken during the day. If I wanted to do a hoax the pic would be horrible quality and in low lighting.

With that said I hope the op posts the original pics for us to review.

If the pics were of anything else, I would want to say he's a hoaxer, but this particular configuration sends chills all through me. I saw something almost exactly like this about 7 months ago. It was from a much greater distance, but it was quite dark outside, and I have dozens of witnesses that confirm my sanity. lol. I go to Centennial High School in Portland, OR. Please dont just write me off because I live in the lesbian/marijuana capital of America.

Right after a football game (we won. lol) and everyone was leaving, me and a group of my friends as well as about 30-40 other kids were around the back of the stadium waiting for our rides. One of my friends said, 'dude... check that out!' and we could see in the distance a purple-blue-ish shimmery and sort of insubstantial object in the sky. It looked like we were viewing a disc-shaped object from an angle and below. The thing was quite a distance away and over some trees. It looked pretty high up. The news swept through the crowd, and soon everyone back there was gathering in the parking lot back there watching it. Several kids captured it on their digital cameras and cell phones. I would have, and tried, but it was too far away, and around 9:30pm and the 2.0 megapixel camera on my Samsung A717 would not pick it up at all. It was moving slowly from left to right (no idea what cardinal directions) across the horizon. When it was about halfway across, (this is about the part in the story where most people just smile and nod-and offer me some tinfoil
), it brightened for about a second and something bright white and moving at a very high velocity dropped seemingly out of the bottom of the object. It fell very rapidly and pulsed with a very white light brighter than just about everything in the sky. The purple thing never slowed or changed its speed, just inexorably moving across the sky. The object it dropped fell out of our line of sight quickly, and after about 30 more seconds of an uninterrupted line of sight, the shimmering object glided behind some trees near us that obstructed our view. Me and my friends, at my urging, ran across the street and tried to keep it in sight but couldnt.
The whole sighting buzzed around the school for about a week, but soon everyone forgot it. I told my parents (mistake!
) and they didnt believe me or my friends at all. I soon just assumed that what we had seen had been wet helicopter blades reflecting off the stadium lights or some such other 'airforce explanation'
.
These pics seem to be pretty much what we all saw then. If he is a hoaxer, I believe him to be an informed one (if thats possible). lol.

Thats the story, and I get the award for longest post on ATS!

Well actually this is what 90% of the recent hoaxers on ats have done in the last few weeks. Create some "amazing" photo, throw it in the lions den and watch it get torn apart.

Thumbs up and those pix. Starred and flagged.

I think you've captured something compelling.......

Let us know if anybody else reports seeing anything in your local papers, etc.

Where are you located?

I thought of the Abyss right away as well...that is what made it seem a hoax to me at first glance.

If it turned out E.T. rolled in the same ships as the aliens in the Abyss, I was going to be sad - not because the ships didn't look tight in that movie(they did!), but because if and when they make themselves known, I want to be blown away by their technology as well as their idea of what transportation should look like...not like, "Haven't I seen that craft before...?"

Wouldn't be a huge let down, but the moment should out-do anything we come up with in our under-used brains.
