Wow, August... Listen, i asked if you could name how and why you think freemason is older than the official.. Cause when i look i see tools which wasnt named yet.. Yet you still claim its older.. I really try to get you, even as a normal human being.. I dont, i actually dont.. If i figured out most of freemasonry well the "American" anyone can.. So when you make stories about Knights templar, and 1000AD.. i just need fact.. Nothing more..

You cant can you? I asked you where your source if from, and i asked, if its a story it better hold facts..
Or we end up with the same problem as the one you actually are against? Am i wrong..?
I think a few masons are awesome guys, and actually extremely well educated..

And as i recalled, i believe freemasonry with the foundation ideals, was science before anything else...
Did it change? Or is it the same? Or are you just doing things your way?

If you cant hold up to the "truth", then please remove it..thank you

Are the Swedes still Vikings, cause we still dance around a pole on midsummers eve? I read through thousands of pages.. Hermes, Ptolemy, Plato the list goes on and on.. And then i find victorian Freemasonry.. And it ends up very short..

Its pattern recognition and natural conditioning.. Anything that happens on earth, happens within this solar system.. A dog is affected by what happens on this earth.. nothing else..

Only thing i ask for, dont lie.. its not much more difficult than that..

You lie every time you open a new account and break the T&Cs.

Which seems to be once a week at the rate you are going.

Well, there are records of Lodges that date well before 1717.

The Regius Poem dates Freemasonry to 926 AD.

I look forward to your next username.

To moderator/admin, if we have a debate or a discussion about anything with the reference to "Ask a Mason" without disclosing any of their practices, if i were to disclose the fundamental practice it would be considered witchcraft in certain countries where it is still illegal.. In my country of the Kingdom of Sweden we are taught not to interfere with any other countries policies/rules/regulations and laws..
If i break and T&C you have the authority, wrong, policy to close my account.. If you shut it down due to that August cant make a reasonable claim to a story which he firmly hold dear to his heart.. Its called interest on conflict.. In Sweden you get hanged in public if you have any interest of conflict.. I know that in the US its not the same way..

So to make a certain point;

No, my alias wasnt a reference to anything subconscious with picking a trickster wolf-god, if you see it that way its called a neurotic behavior.. The list i pick my name from is this; wikipedia
there isnt anything more to my name, its a list of trickster names..

The Regium Poem is not something you can actually say makes freemasonry predate 1717, its a fundament of Freemasonry dogmas and moral which is relies on, but its a adaptation to a scientific approach to the bible.. Its one of the Bible creeds, Arianism..

The years 1424 - 1455, the Roslyn gave sanctuary to a certain group of people that practiced arianism, cause the Church made a bull about them being an enemy of the state of the holy roman empire due to cultural differences and practices, something you have done in the Great state of America since for a long time..

This has nothing to do with your lodges..

The same people started to build the roslyn chapel, or the poor-mans bible using the stories from the Old Testament..
Now going back in time.. A number of people gave names to your tool box, starting from the 16th to an early 18th century..

Does it say anywhere that freemasonry is older, than 1717, no.. Its another approach to organized religion..

You do exactly the same thing with the philosophical aspect to the dogma and morals ( ideals ) but offer nothing with the practices of having a institution that offers a solution to the main problem of us being primates and driven by impulses..

My question still stand for August, if ancient greece had cardinal virtues, does it make Freemasonry older than the regius? If Ancient egypt had the same, does it make freemasonry older than ancient greece.. It doesnt does it, by having a scientific approach to a cultural paradigm.. Does not mean anything else than that you use common sense and logic, now does it..?

So why is your approach to a story so far from reality and history.. It doesnt take more than common sense and logic to understand what being a human is about.. now does it??

The earliest record I have ever found about freemasonry was 1646. That's not saying that's the earliest connection to freemasonry, but it's the earliest historic record I can find.

The evidence of being pre 1000ad is based on stories and not records. Again, this doesn't make it untrue, it just makes it unsubstantiatable.

source for what exactly?

ETA: If you mean the 1646 date try googling Elias Ashmole. That would also make freemasonry OLDER than 1646 because he was initiated into an already established lodge.

I think what you might be getting confused with is the earliest freemasonry lodge and earliest freemasonry grand lodge.

The earliest information for a grand lodge is 1717.

Damnit. I forgot about the fabric rolls of York minister.

They are dated to 1350-1360.

(Can't believe I forgot about them)
