Yes I do. And like any other man that heard and saw Jesus Christ walk the earth, there are those I am sure that penned their memory of him should they have had the parchment to do so.

I am sure that many who saw him spoke of his teachings, without scripture. The Word of God spread like wildfire through the hills with people telling of this man who is the Son of God.

In the beginning there was the Word. And that Word has come to mankind in a multitude of ways, from a voice, the manifestation of a man named Jesus, to a vision and a dream.

Think that you have seen all of the Prophets? Even the book of Revelation speaks of the two witnessess who have the power to shut off the heavens from rain during their travels.

I understand your concern, for non of us wish to be lead astray or to lead another astray. There is a story where another man is healing in the name of God and the apostles wanted to stop him, but Jesus let him be.

Jesus also says in another area, that there are sheep not of this flock that will be in heaven.

As far as their rituals, I am not familiar. For the sake of putting the argument to rest, perhaps you could list some of them in a factual manner. And just as I do not judge the message of Jesus by the acts of the Crusades, what I have seen in history is the abuse of power in the name of God by men of misunderstanding.

Just as their are Mormon that bring forth good fruit, so are there Christians and men of other faith. Unify and come together, and practice Christs command of Love one another. In doing so, we all become fishers of men and the net becomes full of a bountiful harvest.

There are over 1500 Christian faith groups in North America.

With one common denominator - - they believe Jesus Christ is their one and only Savior.

Mormons - full name: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - - believe Jesus is their one and only Savior.

All of these faith groups have varying belief's and rituals.

But, can you expand on the LDS a little, pretty please? Perhaps you have a chance to dispel some notions.

I DO know that the LDS Church is centered on Jesus. But, isn't the basic tenet of their faith teaching that Jesus lived here in North America, (in the 1800s) and was infact Caucasion??? OR, is it the supposition that Jesus APPEARED in the 1800s?

OK, I was baptized just about a year ago by the Mormon Church. But I didn't get baptized for them, or to become a Mormon. Does that freak you out? I will give the original post a 70% truth factor. I don't like the fact that the Mormon Church doesn't tell you the whole truth, and a lot of things I didn't find out till after I was baptized. Which is probably why I am only going to church now about once every six weeks.

There are things they don't tell you like the undergarment stuff. Oh and you forgot to mention that everyone that isn't married in the Mormon Church isn't really married in they eyes of God, which makes most of us illegitimate in the eyes of God. But hey I don't have to agree with everything they teach, even if they think I should.

But I am not posting to take the Mormon church apart. I'd like to address some of the things posted by Furiousracer.

Mormons are Christians, but they are in a different classification. They do believe in Jesus, and they do teach what he taught.

The Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their savior. Oh and as far as Jesus not creating a religion, I think your right. Jesus wasn't a Christian. And if he saw how they acted he wouldn't want to be one.

The Christian religion is full of violent acts. In the old testament alone God kills over 10 million people. Pretty hypocritical for a God that is telling us not to kill people. Explain that. I do believe you are hateful, very hateful, and self righteous.

I will pray for you.... ha ha No one religion is right not the Mormons or any other, and to think so makes all of us look stupid, including me. Instead of preaching Jesus we should be preaching God, and God my friend is about love.

There is no such thing as unconditional love, because love is unconditional. If there are conditions then it is a game and love ceases to exist.

Zaimless, very interesting take on the subject, thank you for contributing.

We, who are not schooled in the Morman church welcome a very un-biased perspective.

Before you give me a star or anything, know this: I actually do not partake of any religion, because I find them all to be a travesty.

Having said that, I'll now say: It is a personal choice, to wish to comply with a religion. Sometimes it is forced upon you, by parents or society, but eventually it still becomes a personal choice, and there is nothing wrong with YOUR choice, it's what the LEADERS of any religion wish to do with the power they are given, by innocent people, that bothers me.

This is the basis of my belief....

Thank you weedwacker... oh and I did star you... I am basically not a religous person at all. I was baptized for my own purposes, and it had nothing to do with the religion its self.

I am very spiritually natured by choice. Religions get to caught up in Dogmas and crap like that. Religion is about rituals as far as I am concerned, and not enough about freedom of the spirit (I really don't know what else to call it.

Actually I do, but i found out the truth recently. Jesus wasnt born in December, he was born in around September. If u read the descriptoins in the verse about the sheperad being in the field with the sheep, and other stuff like that, u will realize that it wasnt cold. The weather has been studied, and it couldnt have been Christmas.

Jesus is God. He made himself man to save the human race. Jesus himself says, if u know me then u know the father. And sabbath is actually Saturday, not Sunday, the calendar was changed.

To God a day is a thousand years and a thousand years is a day to him.Its in the bible, i'll put the verse in later, im kinda in a hurry.

Read the link i put up earlier, it will explain all of this, along with the Books being taken out.

These people went against God, do your homework better. And the new testament is where Jesus died on the Cross for our sins, so we can have a chance to go to heaven.

How sad the OP's life must be. I'm a full on LDS, and i gotta say, EVERYTHING (yes everything) was no where close to what it actually is. If your gonna lie, at least do it well sheesh. If you have a question about the LDS church (anyone) ask me. I'm not "one of those Mormons" that'll try to convert you and get you converted. Just informed to the point were you won't look like an idiot like this guy who went to the JW's for answers about a different church, seems odd. When i have questions about a church i usually go to that church to get it answered. Yes, there are things we keep shyed away from the public, why? Because we see them as sacred and holy practises that aren't meant for casual conversation. Not because they are so different from the way we wish to be portrayed or whatever.

No. YOU BELIEVE that Mormons believe that the Bible is incomplete, and YOU BELIEVE that Mormons believe all those other things that we have already told you are false. There is a difference. Your belief does not reflect the reality of what Mormons believe. I'm not interested in converting people, you or anyone else here, but I am interested in making sure that lies are not spread.

You can believe whatever you want, no matter how ridiculous, but you are passing off opinions and lies as fact, and that is why you have had a rough time in this thread from pretty much everyone, both Mormons like myself and others who are not of my faith, but have actually educated themselves about the Mormon faith, even if they have another faith or no religion at all.

It's the same phenomenon as when people laugh at the 'free energy motor' people in the sci/tech forum, or the ones who say that 15000 years ago we had atomic warfare in the history forum. If you want to be taken seriously, you need to do your homework and actually learn about what you are talking about, instead of plagiarizing Media Ministries, who are inventing 'facts' and stretching truths in order to sell you some books and videos.

Now, that is probably the nastiest post I've ever made on ATS, and I just went back and cut out some parts that probably would have earned me a warning from the mods. I'm just trying to tell you that you've got the facts wrong, hopefully without pissing you off too badly. I hardly expect you to jump into a baptismal font, but I do expect you to live up to the Christian values you claimed earlier, and to remember Exodus 20:16 (yes, from the Bible) which states "Thou shalt not bear false witness". That's also a condition, expressed in more modern language, in the ATS T&C, which I also refer you to.

I am just following through with the tone of your post. Treating you as you wish to be treated. You are the initiator. If you want genuine replies, then make genuine posts. The stuff you posted in the OP was utter garbage.

The very much Christian Latter Day Saints may be a little twisted like the rest, but you will not catch them pointing to the other side of the street while standing at the pulpit. Some of the members may, but it's frowned upon.

Why do you think these others churches preach against them? I have few suggestions, but I'd like to see what you have to say first.
