Here's a link you should probably read.

Plagiarism on ATS

And still, you didn't answer. Why do you hate Mormons? Are you threatened by them? Did a Mormon poop in your oatmeal?

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that they believe your Church is wrong, your Christian creeds are abomination to God, and you pastor or Priest is a hireling of Satan.

We do believe our church is the one true church of God, but we do recognize that other churches teach and practice good things.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that there is salvation only in their church&emdash;all others are wrong.

Not sure what 'emdash' means, but see answer to last question.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that those who have been through their temples are wearing secret underwear to protect themselves from "evil". This "evil" includes non- Mormons like you.

Yes, Mormons who go through the temple wear the temple garments, but they don't consider non-Mormons evil.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU about their secret temple rites at all. If they did, you would spot them as non-Christians immediately.

True, we won't discuss the temple rites, but if you did, you would spot us as Christians immediately.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that they think "familiar spirits" are good, and that their Book of Mormon has a "familiar spirit". Leviticus 19;31 says familiar spirits defile one, and are to be avoided at all costs.

An outright lie. We do not consider 'familiar spirits' good at all.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that women receive salvation only through their Mormon husbands, and must remain pregnant for all eternity.

Not true on either count. In fact, it is the opposite. Doctrine and Covenants states that women can go to heaven unmarried but men cannot. This is a false claim produced by Ed Decker in his Godmakers. He got excommunicated from the Mormon church for adultery, and has been on a vendetta ever since.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that they intend to be gods themselves some day, and are helping to earn their exaltation to godhood by talking to you.

First part true, second part not really. We do believe that in heaven we will become like gods, but we don't earn exaltation in that manner, though we are encouraged to share the gospel.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that they intend to have many wives in heaven, carrying on multiple sex relations throughout eternity, until they have enough children to populate their own earth, so they can be "Heavenly Father" over their own planet!

Much as in the Old Testament, the Mormon religion allows for multiple wives, but due to current legal laws, we keep it to one, now. While this quote is rather crudely stated, it is hardly a secret.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that you were once a spirit-child of their heavenly father, and one of his numerous wives before you were born on earth.

Actually, we tell people straight up that they are a spirit-child of God. It is unknown whether God has multiple wives or not, as He has not said either way, but it is possible.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that the Virgin Mary really wasn't a virgin at all but had sex relations with their heavenly father to produce the Mormon version of Jesus Christ

I've seen contrary statements on this one, so I'll leave it alone.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that they believe Jesus had at least three wives and children while he was on this earth.

Not true. We have never said any such thing. This is totally undocumented. We have no idea if Jesus had wives/children.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that the "heavenly father" they ask you to pray to with them, is really an exalted man that lives on a planet near the star base Kolob, and is not the Heavenly Father of the Bible at all.

Actually, we do pray to the Heavenly Father of the Bible.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that Jesus was really Lucifer's brother in the spirit world, and it was only due to a "heavenly council" vote that Jesus became our redeemer instead of Satan!!

This is in the Pearl of Great Price, for anyone who wants to read to find.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that there are over one hundred divisions in Mormonism. They conveniently "forget" this while criticizing the many denominations within the body of Christ

I don't know about that exact number, but there are other splitoff groups in Mormonism from the main church. No secret.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that all their so- called scriptures such as the Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, Doctrine and Covenants, and even their official "Mormon Doctrine" statements contradict each other on MAJOR doctrinal points. The King James Bible is likewise contradicted.

It's all consistent. Whether you believe in it or not is another question.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that the reason the Book of Mormon has no maps is because there is not one scrap of archaeological evidence to support it!

No maps, but there is evidence.
www.jefflindsay.com...

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that the state of Utah, which is predominately Mormon, has a higher than the national average of wife-beating, child abuse, and teenage suicide.

I've heard this is true. I haven't looked into that claim.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that their prophet Joseph Smith was heavily involved in the occult when he founded Mormonism.

He's been accused of that a few times. It isn't true.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that that they encourage visitations from dead relatives from the "spirit world", a practice forbidden in the Bible. (Deuteronomy 18:10- 12.)

Not true. In 26 years I've never heard of this.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that there are many accounts of Joseph Smith's first vision besides he one they present to you, and all are different

If I remember right, there are something like 5 recorded accounts that Joseph Smith gave. No, they aren't all exactly the same.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that their secret temple oaths are based on the Scottish Rite Masons.

No, we will tell you that the temple oaths are a restoration of those practiced in ancient times, and that Masons borrowed them from us in those days.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that for years they considered the Negro race inferior, and even one drop of Negro blood prevented a person from entering their temple.

That was a regrettable but very common attitude. Apparently, you won't tell us that blacks are welcomed, now.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that they expect Christ to return to their temple in Missouri, but they haven't built the temple He's supposed to return to, because they don't own the property. (It is owned by the "Temple Lot Mormons" who have plans o of their own, and won't let the Salt Lake City group buy it).

That's today. Who knows what the future will bring?

The upside down star is not a satanic symbol. It is a celtic pagan symbol that represents their fertility God Cernonous. The Celtics and other pre-Christian pagan groups in Europe did not believe in Satan, so it is not a satanic symbol.

And as someone else has already stated, most Christians believe that other's beliefs are wrong too. And just because you follow the bible doesn't mean that your religion is correct. Many religions also have books and don't give me that "bible was written by God" bull because many of us non-Christians feel that it is just another book written by man.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that they consider the Bible to be untrustworthy and full of errors.

"Full of errors" is an exaggeration, but Joseph Smith did correct errors in the KJV.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that Jesus' death on the cross only partially saves the believer.

Actually, the death on the cross had nothing to do with it. It was the suffering in Gethsemane that saved you, if you are willing to repent.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that that according to Anton Lavey's Satanic Bible, the demon god of the living dead is called "Mormo". Is it just a coincidence that the Mormons are so concerned with the dead?

Completely irrelevant. The word 'Mormon' predates Anton Lavey's writings by well over a century.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that on their Salt Lake City Temple they prominently display an upside-down star which is a Satanic symbol known as the Goat's head.. Why?

You'll find that such symbols have multiple meanings, depending on the groups and cultures using them.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that they believe the Archangel Michael came down to earth with several of his celestial wives, and became Adam in the garden of Eden.

No, they'll tell you to read Genesis, since we believe in that account.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that that they believe the angel Gabriel came down to earth and became Noah in the days of the flood.

No, we won't tell you that. Again, we will tell you to read Genesis.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that their Prophet Joseph Smith prophesied falsely many times. For example, he foretold the second coming of Christ for 1891. The Bible teaches that one false prophecy puts a prophet under death sentence. (Deuteronomy 18:20-22).

In that particular instance, the prophecy was that if Joseph Smith was still alive in 1891, that he would see the Second Coming.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that their Prophet Joseph Smith did not die as a martyr as they claim, but was killed during a gun battle in which he himself killed two men and wounded a third.

I've seen multiple accounts of this, but the most reliable is that he wounded six and killed no one.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU about the Mountain Meadows Massacre in which they brutally murdered an innocent wagon train of settlers, of over one hundred men, women, and most of the children, traveling through Utah.

They will tell you about it, but they will also tell you that it was not the Mormons in general who committed this atrocity, but a small group unsanctioned by the top leaders.

MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that Joseph Smith taught that there were inhabitants on the moon, and Brigham Young taught there were inhabitants on the sun as well!

Yes, they believed that.

WHY WON'T MORMONS TELL YOU THESE THINGS?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Mormons, are well aware that if these facts were known to the convert prior to baptism, they would have very few converts! The Missionaries are well trained to keep most of these facts from their potential converts.

Much of what you said is false, which is why we won't tell it to you.

Tragically, many Mormons may not even be fully aware of the doctrines and history of their own church.

A rare point in which I actually agree with you.

Every statement on this tract is true. Mormons are encouraged to check out their own publications for documentation of the above. After all, if the Mormon Church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) has the truth, it can stand any amount of investigation.

No, much of what you said is absolutely false, as you will find if you actually investigate yourself and don't parrot someone else's lies. And yes, if the LDS church is true, it can stand any amount of investigation.

Please do not be afraid to investigate. We are not Ex-Mormons, but Christians defending the Christian Church and its beliefs.

Excellent documentation etc. can be found in the Mormon Ministry web sites from our link page.

Yes, do not be afraid to investigate, though I am surprised you state this, unless you don't seriously expect anyone to do so. If "defending your beliefs" is synonymous with fabricating easily exposed lies and spreading them on the internet, then I agree with your statement.

Being an Ex-MORmON I can relate to most of the things the OP stated...they do not tell you a majority of things you're about to get into in fear they will scare you away.

And for the love of Chocolate don't listen to any Mormons coming in here telling you otherwise...of course they're going to tell you otherwise!! it's what their brainwashed to do they can't help but "protect" their pathetic faith.

Best Regards,

Richie.

weedwhacker - I love ya - you know that - but I was Mormon - and you are wrong on most of your opinions.

I left because I am a feminist - and will not support ANY paternal religion.

But I will support the Mormon's as great people and a great organization until my dying day - - or eternity depending on what you believe.
.
That is all.

Let me clarify this statement. Jesus prohibited us to do pagan worship. Many religions have books, but they did not originate until AFTER Jesus went to heaven and the Bible was created. And yes they Holy Spirit guided man to write the Bible, so technically it was written by God. The devil has tied to poison it with false texts, and doctrines, but has failed. And all the predictions stated are 100% accurate. The only ones left are the ones that are starting to happen, and the ones that will later on happen as we are in the "Last Days".

23 years ago, a regular customer of mine walked into local store where I was working and asked me if I could have the breakfast I wanted, what would it be. I told him and he came back 30 to 45 mintues later with an insulated plate that had the egg omelette I described. He was a Mormon.

I was in a flood here in my state. upon paying a visit to my local city offices, there were many cleaning supplies and donations by Mormons.

Some of the kindest and most devout people I know are Mormon, and I am not one but consider their acts as citizens and their walk as a community as one of leadership.

Regardless of their label, you will know they are Christians by their Love.

My thank you to the Mormons who have helped me in the past and even recent present. You create the change you want to see in the world.

Here is the thing that fundamentalist Christians like yourself do not understand. All that you have said in reply to my comment and about Mormons going to hell is your OPINION.

When it comes to religion, no one knows 100% sure if their religion is right or wrong. The bible does not prove Christianity is correct any more than the Quaran proves Islam is correct or that the Bible of LDS that mormon is correct.

The Egyptians wrote down accounts of their beliefs in hyroglyphics (sp?) pre-bible. By your logic, that would make the egyptian religion more correct than Christianity.

The fact is, you BELIEVE that the bible proves Christianity and mormons BELIEVE in their religion. Neither is proof of what religion actually IS correct and we will not no which one is or if there is one at all until we die.

So go on and live what you believe, but I personally feel that you have no right pushing what you BELIEVE as fact.

You see how the devil has deceived the world? Jesus did NOT come to earth to create a religion, but to let you know how to get to heaven, and how to live your life. But the devil has deceived everyone by creating false religions.. The only thing i can say is follow the Bible (KJV) and accept Jesus as your Lord an Savior.

So are you calling what Jesus said a lie?? You think he died on the Cross for fun? You know now that I think of it, I don't care what you guys think anymore, because I know God is leading me the right way. 5 months ago I would've never saw myself doing this, or researching all this stuff i am now. It just hit me, that one 9/11 video opened everything up. How I can be saved from the Illuminati, and what is really right, and what is really wrong. But when you die, God will ask you, why you didn't believe. He will say that the truth was in your face, and you denied him. You have fallen for the devils lie.

Why don't you go mind your own business and leave those who have their own belief alone.

Thank you Hi Figuy

Probably the most important thing to Mormon's - besides family - is charity. They strongly believe Jesus message was to take care of the poor and less fortunate - - and it is their primary focus.

Their one and only savior is Jesus Christ. They study the bible and memorize scripture. They do not pray to Joseph Smith. The book of Mormon is simply historical information - - in addition to what is or maybe missing in the bible.

They work very closely with Catholic charities and the Salvation Army - - who you always read about in the news during disasters. But Mormons are never mentioned. They are aware of this - - and accept that the work is enough. They are fulfilling Christ's request of charity - - without the glory.

Book of Ether ( Book of Mormon )

[14] Behold, I am he who was prepared from the foundation of the world to redeem my people. Behold, I am Jesus Christ. I am the Father and the Son. In me shall all mankind have life, and that eternally, even they who shall believe on my name; and they shall become my sons and my daughters.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their salvation.

We as men are emboldened in our upholding the the details as supported in the Bible itself but lack the mindset of understanding that our Lord is everywhere the world over. There are testimonies beyond the one witness of Jesus Christ for he is Universal.

The Book of Mormon is a 2nd testimony to Jesus Christ and should one read it, they would see, that much like Christianity, that roughly 300 years after the departure of Jesus that they two had division within their house.

Let us not judge the other for in doing so we become judged. Live a Godly life, obey the command Love one another, and in doing so you may create a world in which others will inquire and want to participate thus leading them to the path of Jesus Christ.

Any other way, and the bantering and accusations, the judgements and the damnation directed at one another scares away the inquirer and the observer.

To each their own path of Truth until the straight gate is found.

Peace

What about their satanic rituals? Look I dont hate Mormons, but they don't know what their getting into.. Joseph Smith even used violent acts to get people to accept his religion. Jesus never used violent acts.
