despite what anyone says, our ways of life with completely change without oil. So i call for all earth rights activists to get off your high horse and quit bitching about this country drilling for its own oil.

My point is just because someone was born in Saudi does not mean the Saudi government is responsible. A person born in Saudi could just have easily joined up with a terrorist group which has nothing to do with the Saudi government. Iran is providing arms, money and men to fight the U.S. and it's allies in Iraq.

Having said that, the U.S. is also to close to Saudi and seem to think their # don't stink. I don't understand it especially since they are not helping us any by reducing the price of oil. Saudi is a corrupt government and I don't trust them at all.

Here's the jist of it the way i see this topic

1.) Saudi Arabai are crooks and thieves. That can be proven by the enormously high gas prices, and them doing nothing about it (and it is them whom are responsible) But - if we attack them for it, we're toast. Its called watching your own ass. "We've awaken a sleeping giant" was uttered by some Japanese commander after pearl harbor. Sleeping giant is right. 2.) While the saudis are crooks and bastards - they are not hostile. Iran is hostile and if you argue that point - someone needs to kick you in the ass. Iran threatens nuclear domination of Israel and condemns their very way of life. Israel just defends its self.

Half of the suicide bombings are carried out by Saudi citizens, and of the 135 foreign fighters in American detention facilities, half are Saudi. This should function as a red warning light to American officials. But thus far, it hasn't. On July 27, The New York Times reported that some elements in Saudi Arabia are giving financial aid to Sunni groups involved in the Iraqi insurgency.

Torture, controlled mass media, unconstitutional wars, the list goes on and on. Our votes don't even count anymore. There are millions of people probably going to vote for Ron Paul and we are not going to hear anything about it. Better yet how did Bush get in twice? One only has to look at the corporations that the heads of this administration align themselves with, then take a look at who's contacting all the government projects (from the wars that they've started) overseas to confirm the corruption. Bush and Cheney make millions from these. Cheney has to be the most blatant example with Halliburton and also Brown & Root.

Ahh yes thanks for reminding me. How could I forget the corporations that control our nation. Everything they control everything. Maybe that's why I can't afford healthcare or medication.

I would like to see some proof as to how Iran is an enemy of the US. I have not seen any threats from them made to America, if I have missed them, please show them to me. Maybe you can also show me where it has been stated that they would like to kill you. I am hoping you won't use Israel as any kind of proof, because that really has no bearing on the US.

I get a real kick out of people who will excuse Saudi Arabia of their abhorent human rights record just because they sell you oil. The double standard shown by the US government on these kinds of things is completely ridiculous.

Are you talking about Iran? Hate to burst your bubble, but the U.S. has for years been talking with Iran. Then we gave the Europeans a chance. Nothing came from all attempts so now it's time to pay. As a world power we are given the responsibility to make sure all other countries remain free and safe. Now that being said - if a certain country threatens another country - then it is our duty to make sure things go well. We are to fight for the weak and frail, and defend ourselves when needed.

here's a few FACTS for you

1.) earlier in this post i asked you liberals to give examples of which particular freedoms are being stripped from you. You failed to produce a single one

2.) WhatTheory has asked you to provide examples of why you think our govt is corrupt, and you provide terrorist propaganda.

3.) The war in iraq IS a constitutional war, how is it not? Congress voted to go to war, the president decided to go to war. What you liberal hippies have forced yourselves to forget is that the US govt issued Sadaam a warning to force him to allow weapons inspectors inside iraq. For weeks we deliberated....giving Sadaam time to think it over, then the ultimadum came to do it or else.

He chose or else. We attacked Iraq with operation shock and awe.

You dont remember that though - because it disproves everything you stand for.

Congress signed a declaration of war - so explain to me how this war is "unconstitutional". And since you can't explain that, then do us all a favor and quit using it. Saying this war is unconstitutional is like saying 9/11 was an inside job.

The cia said Iran stopped producing WMD years ago! Why not trust a billion dollar agency? And what kind of talking have the europeans done?
