The money is good but I doubt that this is the sole purpose of the sudden surge. It is simple, the media is controlled by the government, and the government makes tons of cash other ways. I doubt they will make any real money with this topic such as to create awareness for greed.

How do you suppose this top-down chain of command plays itself out without your "lower" workers finding out the true intent? As for the Vatican telling us they are probably real, and that it is ok to believe in them. That is because they don't want to lose the mighty grip on most of humanity. Religion is an important element for stabilizing the masses. Imagine what Kaos and confusion this would do to a human being. People could literally lose their faith about such a happening. This is what the Vatican does not want. If they are nice aliens, the idea is to keep us in that religious bubble, and if possible convert the masses. Believe it or not, a religious belief is good for stabilizing and for business.

Why is it always up to a government to confirm that aliens exist? Because a government is more credible than your everyday human being on the outside? Because aliens would obviously only make contact with a power above the masses? As if they are more able to handle a truth. Ludicrous, says I. A government doesn't have anymore credibility than us. If every government in the world announced tomorrow that after a combined effort of study they learned that if you cut off your penis it would achieve longer life by say 200 years. Would any one male even not in their right mind buy that ludicrous story? But it's the government, remember? If they say something is so, it is so without question. Except when their view doesn't match yours then it's a conspiracy to hide the truth.


Honestly I feel insulted with all the disclosure talk, for some time now. Like, I'm supposed to be blind and oblivious to what's going on around me and I need my parents the government to spoon feed me knowledge, and especially anyone here who comes up with their fun threads every few weeks and try to pass off that they're this super witness to "the truth" and are revealing everything they know only after they're asked questions by members, to "enlighten" us. I really don't care what the government knows or doesn't know, nor do I need them to tell me old news that I knew long before they ever opened their mouth. The only thing I care about is the reason WHY they enjoy the denial card and when will it be convenient for them to be thrown out of power and replaced by uncorrupted people who will get stuff done instead of abusing the power they are given for their own gain. Then repeat process every 100 years or so when it is required, because no matter how you go about it, power will always corrupt someone somewhere and then it spreads.

the only reason the Catholic Church made the statement they did is because the ufo/alien subject has become very popular and they had to address it somehow so people would not be led astray from Jesus.

the media covers it more because of the same reasons ...it has become one of the most talked about topics on the internet and is popular with most viewers and that will bring ratings.

look at all the tv shows that they have had about aliens and then all the movies also........it's big money driven if you ask me and has nothing to do with disclosure.

That's kind of a cop out man.. Anyone can say it's because its the Flavor of the Month.. The fact is, the mass media and religion used to look down on believers and people who showed any sign of the belief in ET's and UFO's.. With all of the knowledge available today, people are realizing more and more that this is most definitely a possibility.

To say the Vatican chose 2008 to release this information because it's a hot topic now is pure rubbish. UFO's and E.T. sightings/stories have been around for quite awhile and have posed as an almost "taboo" belief among some religious groups and in society in general. In the past 10-15 years everything has shifted. Religions, media and government now acknowledge something is out there and no longer laugh and condemn those who believe. In fact it's the exact opposite in the media anymore.. IF you don't believe you are questioned now. It wasn't too long ago that if you DID believe you were questioned or shrugged off as a nut.

The math and probability have been there since Astronomers knew how large the universe was.. Which has been quite awhile.
This subject has been debated among religious communities and the general public since the conception of the idea and now...All of the sudden... the Vatican decides.. "Today is a convenient day to tell the public its ok to believe in ET and Flying Saucers.."

I totally agree with you...whats funny is the government keeps top raps on black projects.....they still in a sense wont confirm area 51 exist.Why in the world would they disclose alien and ufo contact?There is every reason not to!Not a single reason why they should!Why cause we wanna know?They dont care what u wanna know....Think about it.

Laugh it up boy, that don't play well here. So we are supposed to believe your simple story about the "Flavor of the Month" instead? That is it? You have solved the mystery! It’s "Popularity" Yes! That’s it, oh my God? News for you buddy, UFOs and Aliens were real popular in the 1990's. News agency laughed and did not want to touch the subject much, and the church demonized it.

Laugh all you want, and that's the only thing you can do.
