Nope. I think that will be all.

I have no desire to elaborate on that issue...

Just curious, if and when a newcomer enters the room would he or she be able to handle

(Posts 4620) and perform a constructive post for it to be beneficial. Food for thought..!

Hey there mem,

Was just checking out the amount of feedback within this thread and considering the amount post and the amount of reading one would require for him or her or it (alien) to constructively post a reply that just might be seriously beneficial to the site itself.

As with most things, it depends on the newcomer, I am sure some would not have any problems with that.

But for those that may have, don't be afraid of posting your ATS issues on this thread, that's why it's here.

Aww...I think I understand...due to the length of the thread, it would be desired for subsequent contributions to be on topic?

Fair enough...

I'm sure it could be my PC and I know there is a lot of changing going on here, but if I can't get into chat, and I see no one has said antything, and its been 4+ hours its time to ask....just to make sure I'm not.....as PC illiterate as I know I am....ty in advance

Just returns me to the home page...no biggy I'm sure ... I am always the last to know stuff.....I've been told I have the patience of a tick.

I almost hate to say things I notice in fear of someone thinking I am complaining.....I'm not, wish I could help.

You show to be logged into the chat room. You do realize it opens a new browser window right?

I`ve tried to post some breaking alternative news these last few days but it doesn`t work. The page resets itself.

Sorry if it`s been asked before.

Sorry to take up bandwidth here but I'd like to escalate my prior suggestion which received no response.

I kindly request ATS devote a forum to the ongoing Gulf Oil catastrophe as was done with Swine Flu. There are many existing threads and new ones added daily. It is increasingly difficult to stay abreast.

Thanks for your consideration.

I agree . This is going to get worse and worse . We need a separate topic here .

I am curious to know what ATS does to pursue other sites who plagiarize opening posts from ATS and its members.

I have found a few of my opening posts end up being copy and pasted from here and someone else’s name then slapped on them, and then end up having fellow ATS members confront me on the very same threads that the Original Post has been stolen from and question me as if I have plagiarized my own work.

I always alert ATS and write the site involved demanding they cite ATS and me, but it doesn’t seem to much good doing either of those things as follow ups reveal that most of the sites don’t then amend the articles to display ATS and myself as a source.

I know ATS has a firm policy on its members not plagiarizing the intellectual property of other authors and sites, and sources, but what is ATS’s policy towards sites that plagiarize ATS and its members.

One of the sites I just did a follow up with wemustknow.net almost every article on the site has been plagiarized from ATS without ATS or the original posters ever being cited.

What can ATS to do protect its members from being plagiarized, and how serious of an issue is it to ATS?

It seems that every time I write a significant conspiracy thread I end up having to defend against accusations of me plagiarizing it in the thread, with the Staff of ATS never bothering to state in the thread that the work hasn’t been plagiarized.

Is the reward for providing highly original content on ATS really just being left stuck to defend it yourself and eliminate a cloud of suspicion yourself when other sites plagiarize the opening post and fellow members stumble across that, and then accuse you of having plagiarized it from them?

If ATS investigates these matters, what actions do they take towards other sites and why can’t at least some kind of mention be made that the ATS member is a victim of someone else plagiarizing them, and the actual author of the work once an investigation demonstrates that, by stating that a thread where such accusations have been leveled against the Original Poster?

I like creating truly original content for ATS but I dislike having to continually defend it as such.

I would really appreciate some answers to these questions.

Thanks.

Wow talk about self esteem, must be turned up to 11.

It is my understanding that you retain no ownership of content posted on ATS. You forfeit any rights/privileges.

T&C:

3) Content Copyright: By posting on this message board, you relinquish all exclusive copyright privileges to the material you post and you grant The Owners non-exclusive, non-revocable rights to publish your posts in perpetuity in all forms.

Perhaps there is something to be said for posting dull and boring content. No one ever steals from me.

We absolutely fight for and defend our member's IP. I am on the road (in NYC) at the moment, but u2u me on Thursday and I will send a DMCA notice to the offending site.

We have always done this and it works because we share the rights to your content with you (that gives us authority to demand your rights be honored) and simply won't tolerate anyone plagiarizing our members' content anymore than we tolerate our members plagiarizing someone else's.

Our CC Deed is clear on all it takes to share our content.

U2U me on Thursday.
