Sure we all believe the ETs are using it but the official stance of the government is that ETs and their anti-grav craft don't exist. So basically it's all hearsay. If they did have anti-gravity don't you think they'd be using it instead of rockets to get into space?

Do you know why the goverment hasn't told you about any of this yet? Because they are the ones keeping the secret in the first place! Everyone is waiting for an "official word" from their "trusted" governments, but the governments are the ones doing the deceiving!

I've been talking with a few law friends of mine today, they say if this turns out to be a viral ad marketing campaign, I have a lawsuit. Even if its just a hoaxer I might have a case also.

I dont know about you guys but I am sick of all the hoaxes and I think I might have found a little way to help fight some would be "big time hoaxers" off. Its called LAWYERS AND LAWSUITS!

Playing with a persons emotions, that truly believes in aliens and ufos, is just wrong and messed up. The person behind it deserves to pay in my book and if this is for a stupid movie, they will pay trust me!

Seems like almost everyone has moved to this thread so I'll repost one question: The original chad photos have bushes that grow yellow flowers in them, can anyone ID these and maybe tell where they grow and wheter they are in season at the moment?

I personally think that the Governments lost controll of all this stuff in the late 70's and all the Intellectual Porperty Rights belong to Corporations. This dis-ordinate amount of power wielded by companies is one of the tenets of Fascism and what do we see today ??? the western countries leaning toward fascism.

Do you think the Judge would take your case with any seriousness or would he dismiss it without warrant while almost choking from laughing so hard?

If Paris Hilton can get her jail sentence cut in half for breaking the law over and over again how far do you think your going to get? If this does turn out to be transformer related I can't think of any laws that they have broken. Can you?

Good luck with your *lmfao* suite

While I agree with your sentiment, I really hope your "friends" are not law school graduates. There is absolutely NOTHING illegal about putting images out on the web with ANY "back story" you want PERIOD.

If people are willing to accept that story and the "pictures" (or whatever is presented) NOBODY is libel for the mental processes of others.

Just for clarification...

Some time ago I read William Cooper's book "Behold A Pale Horse". In the book he says that while he was onboard a submarine he would often see UFO's going in and coming out of the ocean. He states that we had developed a "flying saucer" years ago. Has anyone read this or other statements by naval personal who have seen this? Elecampane.

How about comparing the photo to some image tests with the same exact camera. Keep in mind this thing has a whopping 2 megapixels.

In addition, here's the weather for watsonville, CA ( Closest place I could find on this map).

MINIMUM
TEMPERATURE
48.9°F

MEAN
TEMPERATURE
55.4°F

MAXIMUM
TEMPERATURE
66.9°F

From 4.08 mean wind speed, to 8.9 max sustained, just doesn't seem like the type of day you'd spend sitting on your back porch eating supper.

I know the Capitola area very well. I have been there many times. We visit there very summer. The daytime weather quite possibly may be the best in the world. You get an off shore breeze that clears the sky of the marine layer and temps are typically about 70 degrees this time of year. I've speant many days down on the beach down there. It's beautiful. Definately a place to have dinner on the patio.

There IS something illegal about putting pictures out on the web that could cause mass panic worldwide to promote a movie. If that turns out to be the case here that is.

If someone did create these pictures with mulitple back stories all just for a movie, I am outraged! "A man getting headaches and scared for his unborn baby" that is not a fun "transformer" backstory. That makes me think this could be a hoax if it is not real. If it is a hoax, I want the hoaxer to be held for there actions.

I for one am sick and tired of UFOs/Aliens being treated as just a joke. Actions must be taken and if Im the one that needs to step up, I will.

I have to agree. Remember what happened to Orson Wells after his War of the Worlds broadcast? The guy had to beg for leniency to avoid going to jail.

Was referring to the temperature as well. With a 68 degree high, and the picture being taken at 5:42, and sunset at around 8:05ish, that gives the sun an angle of about 37 degrees above the horizon. If I wasn't truly lazy, I'd load up POV-Ray, get a DEM of that area, and see if the lighting and shadows match up to where the sun should be.

No offense, but GET OVER IT. When did the United States turn into a "I dont want to be responsible for my own actions and I dont like what you're doing so instead of ignoring it and moving on imma sue you" country?

If it scares you, stop watching it, get off the internet, move to a commune. I guarantee any competent judge (No, the Ninth Circus doesn't count), will throw it out. Else you'll end up like this guy.

No, there isn't. A person who posts art or any other form of media on the internet is not liable for how you react to it. If they were, I wonder how many people would be suing the producers of television shows and movies for mental distress? Besides, your assertion is predicated upon these fabricated UFO pictures causing mass panic, which they haven't. They're fake, so what. It has given us something to talk about for 15 pages. Who are the brain police?

sorry, but I do know what your saying. I would think that any promotion company would be aware that producing any type of picture of a movie prop or CG image associated with their film, and than to plant that same image on the internet with false origins, would deffently upset the (most likely) very target demographic audience they were targeting.

But then again who knows now, after that whole Mooninite scare back in Boston

That was totally different scenario in a totally different era. Not comparable to these photos.

Hypothetically, should you win such a lawsuit the precedent your case would set would be disastrous. No UFO information or conspiracy theories would ever be disseminated on the web ever again. Imagine all of the civil suits against individuals and organizations dedicated to uncovering the truth. This site, ATS, would be one of the first to go offline. You'd get a pot of gold, and you - all of us - would end up completely in the dark at roughly the same time.

You would like to kill all the fun??

You're lucky that you haven't been a member in the time of Project_Serpo.

I still think that if original poster doesn't send original non-edited for web photos this is hoax.

You're assuming that this is a specific X model which hasn't been stated anywhere. The flickr info was probably manually input there since the exif data is empty.

And on another note, anyone ID those yellow flower bushes yet in chad's pics? I really dont know anything about plantlife so I'm turning to you guys.

[Edit] Well, taking another look at flickr it does have very specific exif kind of data which must've come from the original files. And that model X does have maximum resolution in which the original files were shot at. I'm probably wrong about the camera model issue. My bad

[Edit2] And it seems that the firmware version does match this model X.
