By the way, has anyone noticed that the guy with the invisibility powers was Dr. Who from the first season? I knew he looked familiar, but his beard threw me off.

Hellz yeah! I've been pumped about him being on the show for months now. I made a post about it in thread somewhere. (I can relate to the invisible man. Sometimes no one sees my posts
)

I really like the turn out of Nathan being Claire's dad because it means that Peter is her uncle. Over at a heroes forum that I visit they were all going around thinking Claire and Pete were going to become a couple

They really teased about HRG's first name this episode. First with Syler holding his ID and then again at home his wife almost said it.

I went digging for a screen cap of his ID and here it is.

It just says Bennet

Didn't Claire's dad say and old friend has come back, that they thought was dead...when he was on the phone to Isacc?

Nathan is Claire's real dad! I never saw that one coming.

Yup. That seems to follow along with my theory.

It has to be the invisible dude. He couldn't have been talking about Peter.

Judging from Bennett's license, I would have to say that he's living a double life. Maybe "Bennett" isn't his real name, but his code name. He could possibly be working for a rogue government organization that has been tracking the heroes down. That is of course, the writers of the show weren't just playing a joke on the audience by only putting his last name on his card.

Bennet knew peter was alive when he left the hospital.

So let me ask this, how is do you think Nathan is going to respond to his illigitimate daughter coming out of the woodwork when he's got an election coming up?

Personally, I see him telling Claire and her mother to stay out of his life, but then being a hero and saving the day in a clinch, just as he does all the time.

I think Nathan is starting to understand the importance of what is going on. He's conflicted over his need to keep it quiet for election purposes but he has no need to run if the city is gone so I think he will be more helpful than you would expect.

How does Sylar get shot and run away without incident? He didn't get his mouth on Claire's brain so he shouldn't be able to heal.

Also, keep an eye out for Peter once he gets his powers under control. Now that we know he doesn't just have the absorbed power temporarily, it should be assumed that, once he gains full control of his powers, he will be far more powerful than Sylar as he has all of Sylar's powers plus those of the heroes he came in contact with (Hiro, Isaac, Claire, Nathan, Claude Rains etc)

Remember Matt also shot him in an earlier episode. It was the first time we saw Syler I believe.
It must be due to another power he absorbed. The first shooting could be explained with his TK but I'm not so sure about the time that Mr. Bennet shot him. Syler also was thrown a pretty far distance and damaged the fridge behind him.

I don't know how far his ability to 'see and fix parts of any object' go, but if he may be able to rearrange his internal organs to avoid being killed by a gun shot.

Did anyone else wonder why he spoke with a deep voice when talking to Bennett's wife? Eden spoke in a similar fashion when using her voice powers, so would this mean that Sylar also has Eden's ability?

I thought she killed herself before he could take her brain.

"You look different without your scar," says Future Hiro to Peter.

Continuity conflict?

How can Peter get a scar if he can heal any would? Peter will obviously survive after this story arc, but will he retain all of his powers? Or any of them for that matter..

I took it as the voices of all those he killed and absorbed.
He did not take Eden's powers for sure. The producers have made this clear in interviews.

I wasn't to clear on Peter and Claude's goal. Obviously Claude is teaching Peter how to use his power but I sort of had the impression that by using the powers he expelled them from his body as well., thus preventing "the overload" and the explosion. If I understood correctly, from Claude's POV it is the overload that causes the explosion not contact with Ted.
I'll have to rewatch the last episode sometime this week and take down some quotes. I'll take a look around at other forums and Wiki's to see if there are quotes from Claude and Peter.

That would be an interesting balance of power, and keep Peter an interesting character instead of a 'god', like he could become.

What powers did Peter take from Sylar? Did he merely steal Sylar's ability to see how things work, or did he also take Sylar's acquired abilities?

Umbrax, I think he is trying to show peter how to use the powers when he wants to and to have the ability to control them as opposed to simply being a conduit for the powers.

example: when peter was first visiting with Isaac, he suddenly started painting and I recall him saying he didn't know what happened or what caused him to paint.

what Claude Raines is doing is showing peter how to free his mind so that he can control the powers, not be controlled by the powers.

I love the name Claude Raines. Sweet little reference there.

Who knows what Peter got from Sylar really. I'm sure we will find out soon enough.
BTW here is a list of all the "heroes" Peter has met and potentially has powers from.
Nathan
Claire
Sylar
Isaac
Matt
Claude
Eden
Hiro (future version)
and who knows who else. He has those visions that haven't been explained yet. I think they may have come from Simone's father.

Didn't Claude mention something in either Monday's episode, or last week's about Simone having the power of empathy? I heard it, and wasn't sure if it was more of a natural non-superhuman ability, or just a subtle power that has no real manifestation that we can see.

I definately remember that part though.

I thought he was referring to Peter.

Syler's newly gained ability is pretty powerful.
This guy is going to become too powerful soon enough.

Last nights episode was kinda lame.......this Nikki/Jessica thing I really hate.......I wish Nikki was the next to die.....she does nothing for the story and to me she is starting to ruin the plot.

the Hiro/Ando story last night was boring to the extreme.....

Where the hell was Peter last night ?? in another coma ??

The Sylar part was the best thing last night.....man that guy scares the crap out of me !!

Claire's mom is losing it.....to many memories erased and now she is going nuts....to be expected.

And Claire's real mom shaking down Nathan and lying to Claire about the amount of money shows her true colors.....greedy no-good *****.

all in all..........I give last night a c-

I agree. It was rather blah last night. It is pretty bad when scenes with Mohinder are the most exciting of the episode.

Can't all be gems, I guess.
