Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.
Friedrich Nietzsche (1844 - 1900)
from: plato.stanford.edu...
Friedrich Nietzsche was a German philosopher of the late 19th century who challenged the foundations of traditional morality and Christianity. He believed in life, creativity, health, and the realities of the world we live in, rather than those situated in a world beyond [Heaven].
Nietzsche set forth some of the existential ideas for which he became famous, namely, the proclamation that "God is dead" and the doctrine of "eternal recurrence"-- the idea that one is, or might be, fated to relive forever every moment of one's life, with no omission whatsoever of any pleasurable or painful detail. Nietzsche's atheism -- his account of "God's murder" (section 125) -- was voiced in reaction to the conception of a single, ultimate, judgmental authority who is privy to everyone's hidden, and personally embarrassing, secrets; his atheism also aimed to redirect people's attention to their inherent freedom, the presently-existing world, and away from all escapist, pain-relieving, heavenly otherworlds.

Why can't I quote a man regardless of their theology ? Just because I don't agree with someones philosophy or religion does not mean that I can't aknowledge one of thier personal (observances) that have nothing to do with my walk with God nor does it jeopardize christianity. I hope that you can see the difference ?
The statement like yours just shows me that you haven't any idea what it means to be a Christian ? I wouldn't expect you too anyway ?

Becuase it makes you hypocritical to say that the masons and masonry is anti-christian for doing similar things???

And conversely your statements reveal that you have no idea what masonry is about. Whats your point? You aren't the arbiter of what is required to be christian, and the very fact that you'd sit in judgement of others seems to reinforce that fact.

Just becuse I believe in Christ wholeheartedly does not make me an extremist does it ? On the other hand Jesus himself was accused of this ?
I am a human being as you are. We are both individuals with different beliefs. We should be able to accept this. I do and I think you do as well. I think that we are both stong individuals with a firm belief in what we are standing for and that's great !
Although everyone got emotional and upset with good reason on how the thread was going. I take responsibilty of my own part of that.
But a christian is held accountable for his actions therefore he/she reads the bible to stay focused and on the right track. Is this so wrong ?
Oh- By the way- I am also a Stubborn German that has been known to quote other germans in history !
