I don't where you're pulling that assessment from but it's so far away from my thoughts on this subject, we probably should move to the Mindreading and Psychic Premonitions folder.

From your own eyewitness opening statement links…

oversight.house.gov...

oversight.house.gov...

I can quote more statements where the individuals pointed out it’s important for civilian scientists to collect their own data. It’s clear we can’t be dependent on the government. It’s clear you don’t need the government to tell you what to believe.

Why do you need the government to affirm what you already believe.

By all means quote from todays hearing where any of the witnesses claimed we should be less reliant on civilian research and data collection, and more dependent on the military/dark programs.

Michael Gold, former NASA associate administrator of space policy and partnerships; member of NASA UAP Independent Study Team

Gold's testimony stresses the need for government agencies and academics to "overcome the pernicious stigma that continues to impede scientific dialogue and open discussions" about unexplained phenomena.

"As the saying goes, the truth is out there," Gold said, "we just need to be bold enough and brave enough to face it."

www.npr.org...

Reads like a call for civilian scientists to become more involved, and less reliant on the military/dark programs to me. Which makes sense and provides civilian oversight of the military. Just saying.

I don’t trust parts of the military.

But. In a world where the airplane, working radio, the working TV all created by civilians.

Where university research made possible the nuclear bomb.

Where the planets and elements of the solar system discovered by civilians and even some amateur astronomers. Including radio astronomy. Why there is such a discrepancy in the knowledge supposedly held by the military/dark programs vs civilian scientists……

What was that bit about trying to find blackholes with gun mount cameras. I think that was a lead into needing the scientific community and better instruments than just military gun mount cameras collecting data. Is that a false statement.

Heres my thoughts on Mr Gold's comments which referenced NASA, so #1 every UFO/UAP discovery by NASA since inception
has been classified is what we need to know. It's ridiculous to believe we need more funding for NASA while they pretend they have no files on UFOs and UAPs

So Mr Gold we will not give Mr Bill Nelson one more dollar when they likely have the most information including the military. As if NASA doesn't have radar cameras and other sensors verifying the existence

Care to actually cite what was said about NASA and funding.

And what has that to do with the bit about using a gunnery camera to find blackholes as an example that better science and technology has to be developed to better explain and gather data concerning UAP’s.

There is a system of civilian aircraft controls not detecting anything?

Which has what to do with civilian pilots willing to talk. Civilian scientists wanting better equipment to study UAPs, where current military footage leaves questions.

The appeal was for an all hands on deck by the science community, not just NASA.

That is why you have scientists grouping together to tackle the UAP enigma.

Scientists push for UAP research without waiting for government

www.newsnationnow.com...

Nolan said he believes researchers, not government, will have to spearhead the effort to explain UFOs in ways all of us can understand.

“There’s something they’re trying to hide,” Nolan said. “You have the people from within the government who’ve said that it’s real.”

Yet the government continues to deny any evidence of nonhuman intelligence.

“You can’t wait for daddy government to tell you what you think you already know. They don’t need to give you permission to move forward,” Nolan said.

putnam6 you don’t trust the government now? Why would you trust the government if it started tailing you what you wanted to hear. Based on what credible evidence.

There is a whole group of legitimate civilian scientists that want to throughly investigate UAP’s. Why do you need affirmation from a government you don’t trust.

This is what you have your panties in a bunch over?

Michael Gold, a former associate administrator at Nasa who was a member of a Nasa-led independent study team on UAP, suggested that the space agency could take a more prominent role in combating the stigma around the subject “to make a powerful statement to the scientific community that UAP should be taken seriously and researched accordingly”

He added: “Science requires data which would be collected without bias or prejudice — yet whenever the topic of UAP arises, those who wish to explore the phenomenon are often confronted with resistance or ridicule. The truth is out there. We just need to be bold enough and brave enough to face it.”

www.thetimes.com...

Seems Gold is more concern about using NASA to change the culture and stigma for those that take UAP’s seriously.

Like to quote what was said about NASA funding?

He is one of your witnesses you were championing?

LOL yeah I don't think we are speaking the same language here, I'm not upset at all, Scooter. Im just discussing the topic.

So far you seem to be the one with the sand in their no doubt skid-marked panties because I've read every one of your posts and they sound so emotionally desperate and almost frantic, for what I don't have a clue.

From my point of view, it reaffirmed some things and hit on a couple of incidences Ive never heard of, like the USO following a nuclear submarine.

Will it make a difference who knows, perhaps TPTB is scared that Trump is pushing declassifying all kinds of files not just the UFOs and UAPs but other hot-button topics like JFK, RFK, and MLK, so maybe they give up some of the UFO UAP stuff to hold on too those other files a little longer.

My general opinion is if there were substantive NHI tech or discoveries no way the government would give them up all at once, it would be a slow arduous process like we are seeing now...

What really bugs me is why the world has to rely on the USA to "disclose" a real extra-terrestrial craft...or body...or parts from a craft.

As we've seen, the United States is just one landmass of many on planet Earth. Why hasn't UFO evidence (material evidence) been found by other countries and revealed?

True but the theory goes that China Russia etc would keep it secret and the free world is under Uncle Sam thumb one way or another.

for example, Brazil was likely threatened and or bribed, but there reason the US military can get special forces virtually anywhere in the world

À celui contraire mon frère

Respectfully pages 4 paragraph 5 and pages 5 paragraph 1 of Gold's testimony says NASA will need more funding.

oversight.house.gov...

NASA faces some very difficult budgetary challenges, and I would urge the Members of
this Committee and Congress as a wholeto support increased funding to allow NASA to
successfully execute the Artemis program and all of its other vital scientific and exploratory
activities.
We must not fall behind rival nations, particularly China, in space exploration,
diplomacy, and development. However, even under current budgetary constraints, I believe that
NASA could support the activities described above with just a handful of officials and minimal
expenses.

5
E. Develop and Deploy Dedicated Instruments to Detect and Gather Data on UAP
When NASA studies celestial objects and phenomena, planets, black holes, and galaxies,
it does so with equipment that has been developed specifically for such tasks. If NASA had to
study space with data collected from fighter cockpit cameras, radar from military installations,
and cell phones, very little good science would be done. Therefore, it’s worth considering
building instruments tailored to study the UAP phenomena.Doing so would be more costly than
other recommendations described in my testimony and, again, NASA is facing very difficult
budgetary constraints
, but I at least wanted to put the concept forward in the unlikely event that
funding does become available.
