Nobody is above the law amirite?
Not even the President elect.
And any attempt to pardon themselves is corruption, pure and simple.
if you wish to comment on US things, you might want to educate yourself on US things. Like the Constitution. Start with finding the part where a president can't pardon himself and go from there.
Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 places the President above the law. It is political corruption written into the US Constitution from the get-go.
Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 also contradicts the Presidential pledge of office, and Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution.
Even under Article II, Section 2, Clause 1, the President cannot grant any pardon without the specific written advice of the principal officers of the executive departments. Nor can the President pardon themselves from an impeachment.
Presidential pardons dilute the balance of the judicial branch to make lawful judgement and that of Congress to enact binding laws.
Yep, so if need be, Trump can pardon himself. Now you might start to grasp this.

But if some other political leader had committed crimes, and then pardoned themselves through political power and influence, would that mean that they didn't commit those crimes?
I mean, what's to stop someone in that position from lying, cheating, stealing, murder, and etc, then they just say, nah, I'm all good, I pardon myself. Do you think that isn't obvious corruption?

Trump was impeached twice. Both times for lies based on TDS. That's why impeachment doesn't mean anything anymore.
But good news is, nobody here gives a rats ass what you think about the US. You don't live here, don't know what goes on here, and seem to just like offering a pointless opinion. I'm sure folks would love to reciprocate and find all the flaws in New Zealand government, but the truth is, I just don't think anyone cares that much about your island.
BTW, Trump will be president for the next 4 years. pace yourself. You have a lot of time to spread that TDS hate.

Nope, it was real. He did those things. There was evidence and all.

New Zealand territory covers more than 700 islands, but there are two main ones that are most heavily populated. In land area, New Zealand is slightly bigger than the UK and slightly smaller than Italy.

He has already been President for four years. I have little reason to believe he will do any better this time around. His platform was almost entirely the same as it was the last time.

well, let's look at the crimes Trump did. His accounting team paid his lawyer, and classified the payments as a legal fee.
That's the 34 felony counts. 34 checks. I'm going to go out on a limb here and state that I'm OK with him erasing this if that's his choice. If he robs a bank, we can talk about those charges at the time.

You do know he was acquitted both times? So he was impeached but not proven to have done those things.

Someday, you'll realize you've been lied to, these past 8 years.
That is, if you're self aware enough to realize it.
It's all going to come to light. Will you admit your ignorance when it does?

Yeah that was just in one case. And that was State crime, so he cant legally Pardon himself for them. He'd have to be pardoned by the NY Governor.
What about the other charges:

All things will be revealed that is why democrats did all they could to keep Trump from the white house, even two attempts to murder.
Democrats are right, democracy will take a hit, but the hit is because the swamp is going down, the truth corruption will be expose, but as with everything US will survive.
The swamp will not.
