Largely irresponsible "tactic", that is, I am sorry to say, TERRORISM.
Yes, Hezbollah are assholes, but any one of them could have been on an airliner. If a pager or walkie-talkie in luggage blows up in flight, what then ?
Israel thinks it is OK to kill 200-300 innocents on that airplane.
NO, Israel, this is no longer "self defense", this is TERRORISM and, NO, denouncing Israel for doing this is NOT anti-semitic.

If they can target those phones to explode, they know exactly where they are.
It's no worse than Hezbollah hiding behind women and children, killing, kidnapping and torturing civilians and then sending out a video of their murder so their family can see them die in fear and pain.
Don't start sh** unless you're ready to deal with the consequences.

So now we are dealing with hypotheticals?
Heres another hypothetical because it did NOT happen
Would this insidious and treacherous tactic have been used if Hezbollah had not shot an average of 47 rockets a day indiscriminately toward Israel since 10/7?
Hezbollah should have stood down, instead, they doubled down and increased their attacks.
You are not anti-semitic per se you can't comprehend Israel's reasoning and logic as they watch thier civilian population attacked and killed
“We lost our innocence,” she said. “We have become less trusting of everyone else. We can blame it all on him. … He was a terrorist and we have suffered from his terror for 40 years.”
James Lewis, the suspect in the 1982 Tylenol poisonings that killed 7 in the Chicago area, has died
