edit - Closing arguments.

- Harris did well.

- Trump scored with "what were you doing for the past 3.5 years?"

I'm sure the MSM will say Harris won. She did better than I thought she would.

I still think she's hollow...I just wonder if people can see it.

I think Harris was in a tough spot here since as VP she doesn't really have a lot of say, but she did have the power to remove Biden from office like she said she would. Especially after the report said that he was too feeble to be charged with any crimes.

Trump could have knock it out of the part if he would have asked Harris to tell people where the can see her plan.

I think they could have both done better, but I'm not sure Harris will be treated as badly as Biden was, but she didn't really do much better.

Trump could have avoided getting baited and answered the questions directly.

The next few days will be interesting since it was a few days after the last debate when the DNC decided to drop Biden.

Personally, I think Trump should drop the abortion thing like a hot rock. Just let it go. It's such a polarizing issue, and it doesn't mean crap for the future of this country (sorry, ladies, but it doesn't). The economy is what matters, and Trump should just give the whole abortion issue to Harris...like..."whatever you want...go for it"...and call it good.

Trump would pick up 2 million votes for this alone.

Sadly, I honestly feel the fix is in. The blue states with the majority population have ensured there will be mail-in voting and no voter vetting.

To quote one of the worlds most infamous people since Hitelr "At this point what difference does it make?".

We know what the majority of people want, but their voices have been silenced by the cities with the majority of population. It took a lot of decades, but the commies have won.

I would love to be proven wrong.

It’s because he was lying.
You can add a little “puffery” to statements like a salesman.
But you can’t make crap up.
He was being fact checked.
And he’s a compulsive liar.

Madame VP is so hollow she echoes, I was following along with a podcast and somebody mentioned the Zuckerburg suppression suggested by our law enforcement departments. Trump needed to bring that up, he was so quiet it makes me wonder if there isn't back channel stuff happening. Would have thought it would have been mentioned

I'd say neither one of the convinced undecided voters ... how could they by regurgitating the same old talking points over and over again?

68% of Americans didn't know what Kamala's position is. Those who watched tonight now have a good idea. But they also now know she didn't do any of those things when she had the chance....an opportunity that is still available to her at this moment...and for the next 4 months.

Yeah they both hit back on Trump's "lies" while letting the VEEPs misspoken words go unchallenged

You didn't hear her say "plan" a thousand times tonight? My god man, she said the word "plan" 4 or 5 times in a row. I thought she was having a stroke.

If you weren't paying attention that's on you.

Clever how they rigged the questions and backdrafted to Trump with "clarifications" and "questions" for Trump only. Then the redirects to Kamala who had all the memorized scripts to the letter. It was clever. Somebody will outline this in detail this week. 😊

They played the camera perfectly for Kamala too. And they kept the mic open for her too at just the right times. And her makeup job was perfectly "White", so who were they targeting with THAT?

Now let's watch how they rig the mail ballot counts. 🤣🤣🤣

Since, strangely, there isn't a thread about today's debate yet, I'll take the lead. What are your predictions? Who will emerge as the winner in the polls after the debate?

My prediction: Harris will win 60:40 (according to the polls afterwards). Trump will create various word salads that no one understands, he will certainly argue below the belt, become agitated, and undoubtedly will need to be interrupted multiple times. I think he will say little of substance and remain vague on important issues (abortion, etc.). Overall, he will deliver a hectic and populist performance and play the 'we're all doomed if I'm not elected' card. Harris, on the other hand, will likely try to appear more statesmanlike, focusing on unity and a romantic vision of society. She will counter many of Trump's contradictory or false statements, and Trump will not be intellectually capable of handling it. Overall, I believe she will come across as more composed and less aggressive, making constructive suggestions without doom porn.

In the end, Harris supporters will say: yeah, she demystified him! And Trump's supporters will say: whatever, I'll vote for him anyway.

Decisive for the election? I doubt it. Only in one scenario: if Trump consistently shines and Harris fails on all levels. I don't see that happening.

So, what are your thoughts and predictions?

The questions were softball to Harris and didn't go down paths that she couldn't answer. She did well, but we need also to understand she has been locked away for 3 weeks to prepare and do nothing else. There weren't questions on her massive shifts, but since the left can't remember past last month, they don't see it. We need to see that she went from extreme progressive to mimicking Trump.

She attacked Trump in every answer, but with a smile, so it is hard to suggest Trump attacked her more, so I give the personal attacks to her.

She had zero details to anything and went to the bleeding heart answers, "I know families hurting, so I will fix it" over and over, but she is the incumbent and so why did you let it get so bad?

She didn't crash, and that is a win for the left.

The..."I'm speaking now...I'm speaking now!"...quote by Trump was awesome. I fully expected Harris to say that, and Trump stole her thunder with it. Very clever move on Trump's part. I just wish he would have followed it with a slam dunk, and I don't think he did. It would have been a perfect segue to..."Tell us, what's you're plan?...and then a mic drop.

Planned that way. The whole thing was scripted against Trump. 😀

He got around most of it however.

Not sure I agree. She followed up with complete change of subjects, derailing the conversation (which ordinarily would have been okay, if it wasn't for the subject). So she switched from economy to abortion, and when Harris was foundering, switched from immigration to Israel. Her tactics were to change the paradigm and keep Trump off footing, and at the same time play into Harris sound bytes. She knew what Harris was going to say.

I actually think they both...SUCKED!!

The dude was fact checking...erroneously...and that will come out.

I supposed a head in the sand is one option.
We both watched this debate.
If you can even say that the Felon came even close to even BEING AT, the debate. I question this form of objectivity .
The world is laughing at his performance.

And……..drumroll please.
Taylor Swift just endorsed Harris. lol fwiw.

Did she actually answer a question with facts that could be checked? We know she was the most progressive vote in Congress, and now she is Trump lite, does that bother you a little, as in maybe she is BSing everything just to sound bite what may work that has nothing to do with what she has represented her whole life?
