Loads of cops in all the cities where protests are going on-where the heck do they manage to find them is a mystery-there are usually hardly any cops to be found now there seem to be many hundreds in each city...

Do they keep them all in stasis pods ready for times like this?
That must be why there are none availible to follow up the millions of smaller crimes which seem to be ignored these days.

Good question. Are they all really serving police? Could there be more to this? There has been speculation in the past that troops are drafted in to some demos.

All I can say is.... if the reports from Hull that the protestors are targetting an 'asylum hotel' are correct, it wont take long for other protestors to do the same.... targetting who the public, not paid insurectionists, see as the problem in the country.
If that escalates and immigrants become the target, then that will work faster than any other deterent to stop the boats!

PS, I'll be on some 'watch list' now for saying that!

Unless the vandalism and fighting with police is completely separate and include both people who do not care about the issues and use demos as any old excuse and organised agitators there to discredit and scapegoat.

You're always going to have idiots who want to slap a plod on a Saturday afternoon I hope the majority are there to show their concern over unsustainable migration numbers and the trouble being caused the illegals.

When you're not being listened to your only option is to shout.

Well, that's the rub of it all covent.

They are all filming one another on social media committing serious offenses and breaches of the peace.

And then screaming oppressive draconian powers when they receive a knock at the door and they get tin-paled the next day.

Not exactly the smartest of cookies if truth be told.

Another thing, and not so much today, as over the last few previous evenings.

I have to wonder what kind of working-class people are out mobbing and rioting, to the middle of the early hours, when they have work the next day?

Not too many would be my guess there.

I did think that and dismissed the Military Police angle.... but all the same.... I listened to my gut instinct when I saw that.
Having dated a rather famous SAS guy many years ago..... when things get heated, they are there.... the military that is.

You remember those series of riots in the 80's?
A couple of mates' dads were in the reg and got called out in mufti to ride around in the old plain range rovers in case trouble came to town (There were even shops boarded up)
I was out by the ship roundabout with a couple of lads and one came past and my one mate got a wave off his dad as they drove by.

His balaclava is obviously the wrong shade of midnight.

See this is where they all start infighting and amongst themselves.

Wait till it is a little more dark and watch the accusations turn into attacks.

Canny make it up really.

Oh yes I remember them well.
I was working for Mitsubishi Motors at the time and the night before they broke out in Birmingham, I was at the dealer showroom. Two days later, I was up at the dealership just on the fringe of Toxteth. The dealership asked me if I'd heard about the riots that broke out in Birmingham and that the Birmingham dealership had been torched!
I left Liverpool back to Cirencester the next day. That night, the riots broke out in Toxteth and that dealership got wrecked. My boss was jokingly threatening to take me out of the following dealership evenings until it all calmed down!!!
