I don't think we are in "thrall" but it's a fact that US politics does affect us.

Plenty of posts on here about our election.

Basically, Starmer has purged Labour of the swivel eyed lefties and made it electable.

He's justed booted out 7 more of his leftie MPs.

People were fed up with the Tories and voted accordingly.

God only knows how it will pan out.

I think you should "google it" because it is very common knowledge that Trump was explicitly not convicted of rape.

Once you understand that, maybe you'll be more open to how wrong you've been and how propagandized you are.

Trump was never convicted not charged with rape. He was found liable for sexual abuse by a jury. There was no evidence to present Ms Carroll was raped.

Trump cannot be bullied. He's got his faults and I don't like him personally, but he was the best POTUS since Reagan and so far superior to the figureheads before him that you can't help but respect and admire him. So Trump got mad at whoever tried to kill him and he stood up to them in his own way. Obama, Biden, Harris, The Clintons, they'd have wet themselves and been piles of jello needing to be carried out of there.

The point resides in that the claim brought to court was rape. When the evidence failed to show that, the judge allowed a lesser charge. Moreover, there was zero evidence to such events.

There must have been SOME evidence as there was a split verdict, just not enough for a guilty verdict.

I have no evidence....but surely some on the jury saw enough evidence of rape to convince them that he was guilty otherwise it would have been a unanimous verdict and not a split verdict.

I do not agree with either. However, this was a civil case. No evidence was provided to show she was attacked sexually. Nothing.

Sexual Abuse is supposed to mean contact. Grab an ass. Grab a bob. Unwanted advance. A broad range to be able to convict someone especially civilly. Carroll was a nut job. This came back around because she was publishing a book.

During the entire trial there was not one thing proved Trump did anything.

(I am not defending anyone. I am simply stating the law and my opinion)
