Thats a strangely quiet week, strange.
Is there a political deal being done?

The money they were gonna spend on sending them to Rwanda could be better used giving the French an amount per illegal they stop.

I dont know the figures that was earmarked for Rwanda but im sure it was a fat amount. That fat amount could well be put to better use.
Stopping boats..

More likely, contract arrangements need to be honoured and any fat amount would be reduced by whatever has to be paid under that.

There are increasing calls within the EU to both prevent illegals entering into the Union and also to enforce existing legislation that allows countries to deport illegals to the country of their entry into the EU.

This would have a massive impact on the number of people trying to gain entry into the UK via France.....which would also then reduce the numbers getting into the RoI.

This wouldn't eliminate all problems, far from it, but it'd be a bloody good start.

So EU....

I read yesterday that Germany is now as bad as France for stabbings, rapes, crime etc.
And the German politicians want something done about it.

Follow Poland's way would be a good start.

Britain and Ireland are both islands. Of all the countries in the EU zone, we should be the hardest to get into. Especially us. If only our government had the stones to do ANYTHING good about ANYTHING. How tf are illegals getting onto planes and boats to come to us?
I know they're flowing down from N.I. but then how are they getting into N.I. with no documentation?
If i hopped on a plane now to fly anywhere i'd need some i.d.
Its disgraceful and im getting sick of reading about the latest 'record figures' every goddamn month.

Following a quiet week last week due to the bad weather just 206 migrants were ferried to England by the UK immigration ferry service , I guess the slow trade must have caused a backlog as yesterday 526 illegals from 8 boats were brought to England by the UK immigration ferry service.

With his meeting in Germany today with Olaf Scholz I wonder how many more Starmer has signed us up for to get us back in the Globalists good books.

It also looks like Starmer is going to sign us back into the EU Erasmus education program so "students" from all over the World can come here to "study" , because Brexit was just a dream.

Apply for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master. Students from all over the world are welcome. You will study at several universities in Europe and beyond. Full scholarships are available for the best students.

Masters may also offer full scholarships to the best-ranked students worldwide. Scholarships cover your participation costs and contribute to

Meanwhile we face a "painful" Budget in October while even more of our money is given to foreigners , warm and fuzzy is a thing I do not feel.

The Spanish seem to have gotten a handle on how to tackle illegal migrant crossings and this boat only had 4 people on it , who were all returned to Morocco.

A Spanish police patrol ran over a speedboat believed to be carrying migrants trying to reach Spanish territory in North Africa.

Footage shows the Guardia Civil chasing the speedboat and trying to block the path when it ploughs into it.

The speedboat's four passengers were flung into the water but quickly rescued.

Tough love in action , beautiful.

Beautiful is the word alright.

Now why cant English do that? England is not part of the EU anymore so off youz pop and do what thou will i say.

A few weeks of that would seriously drop numbers.
The French boats can fish them out of the water, they're all handed life jackets so they'll be floating.

Poland's minister who we keep seeing telling everyone who'll listen they have zero illegals. Im jealous af. Thats what you call a leader looking out for his fellow countryman.
I dont know his background and honestly i dont care if he's a racist. Its time to look out for your own first and foremost.
And for anyone claiming that these are genuine refugees, were are all the woman and children on these boats? Oh right theres none. These are fighting men as has been demonstrated multiple times already.

The "Everyone Welcome" sign is lit up bright on the White Cliffs so yesterday 614 Illegal migrants from 10 boats were ferried over from France courtesy of the UK immigration ferry service , 1,139 have arrived in just 2 days no doubt keen to take full advantage of our new Socialist Utopia.

It's worth remembering migrants are still coming here via the Channel Tunnel so these numbers are just the known knowns.

A Swansea man has been found guilty of smuggling seven migrants in a tiny hidden compartment of a van - which left one man suffering a "life-limiting" stroke.

Jurors unanimously found that Anas al Mustafa, 43, smuggled the six men and one woman in a specially adapted van with a hidden compartment that travelled on board a ferry between Dieppe, in France, and Newhaven, East Sussex, on 16 February.

The numbers are in for yesterday and 408 illegals from 9 boats were ferried over by the UK Immigration Ferry Service bringing the total so far this week to 1,758 , if a similar number come over today that could take us over 2,000 in a week.

Statement from the Home Office released 27th Aug 2024.

A Home Office spokesperson said:

"We all want to see an end to dangerous small boat crossings, which are undermining border security and putting lives at risk.

"The new Government is taking steps to boost our border security, setting up a new Border Security Command which will bring together our intelligence and enforcement agencies, equipped with new counter-terror-style powers and hundreds of personnel stationed in the UK and overseas, to smash the criminal smuggling gangs making millions in profit.”

Background

We have already entered the recruitment process for a highly skilled Border Security Commander to protect our borders.
It is the first duty of any government to secure its borders

Labour MP and Leader of the House of Commons Lucy Powell has claimed if they hadn't taken the Winter fuel allowance off pensioners the economy would have collapsed.

The economy could have crashed had the government not found savings by cutting winter fuel payments for pensioners, a minister has said.

Lucy Powell told Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips that the loss of the benefit, which will now be means tested, was necessary because of a "£22bn blackhole" left behind by the Conservatives.
news.sky.com...

The cost of illegal migration to this Country is currently £3.6 billion a year forecast to rise to £11 billion a year if the current trend continues which under this open border government it will likely exceed that.

The asylum system currently costs £3.6 billion a year and £6 million a day in hotel accommodation, but that is not the true cost of doing nothing. As this impact assessment shows, the cost of accommodating illegal migrants has increased dramatically since 2020. If these trends continued, the Home Office would be spending over £11 billion a year, or £32 million a day, on asylum support by the end of 2026. In such a scenario, the Bill would only need to deliver a 2% deterrence in arrivals to enable cost savings.

The figure of £11 billion is an extraordinary amount of money—nearly 10 times the amount of money the taxpayer spent on the asylum system as recently as 2021—and anyone opposing this Bill needs to explain how they would pay those costs. Given the Labour party’s opposition to this Bill, it represents another £11 billion black hole in its fiscal plans.

It would seem to me the truth is that pensioners have lost their Winter fuel allowance to pay for migrants to be all cozy and warm in their tax payer funded residence.

As a slight aside and to put it into perspective Tax Evasion cost HMRC approximately £36billion in 20/21 largely due to offshore tax dodging and Corporate Tax Evasion.

In 22/23 it was almost £40billion.

If the previous or current governments simply enforced existing legislation that would be more than enough to plug the gap without taking away the Winter Fuel payments for pensioners.

And possibly with ample leftover to help enforce existing Border Control regulations?
