Let's be honest. A completely ineffective Security detail on all fronts. A Team of 8 took 45 seconds to get him off the #ing stage for god's sake. All that time his head was open to a second shot. What were they waiting for? The shot from the Grassy Knoll?

Most of the upper bloody part of the ear is covered by his hair. He does have a deep groove above the ear hole but if you check other pics that is how his ear is formed.
