Russian Talk of Peace Deal is a Sham - And That's Official

It is quite ridiculous to me that we are concerned about the Ukraine at all. I believe they and Russia were a combined state throughout most of their history, probably for at least 6 or 7 hundred years, but because the Soviet Union fell we decide all the sudden that they aren't actually Russian and that Russia has no interest there.

In my mind, people in the NATO block should be more concerned what is happening in their own countries.

The west cannot fight anymore until it stops behaving like half rate nit wits. I find that very few men and the men that pretend to be women have any interest in defending their country, much less themselves. Lets clean up our own back yards before we try to clean up someone else's.

Also, face it, the Ukraine will not hold up for another year. They will probably fail well before that.

As I stated in a previous post - maybe in a different thread as well; Ireland was under English/British control for over 700 hundred years from 1169 until they became Independent in 1922.
Does that mean it would be ok for the UK to march into Ireland and take it back now?

Of course it wouldn't be alright.
Ireland is an Independent country that makes its own choices, which is as it should be.

Same as Ukraine should be allowed to make its own choices as an independent nation without fear of reprisal from their neighbours.

Or do you see it somehow different?

Yet here we are, a bloody WWI like war of attrition that is slowly bleeding both countries dry in more than one way.

I do see it different. Ireland ALWAYS hated the English. ALWAYS. The difference here being that Kiev was actually the first "Rus" capital. The difference in culture and language between Russia and Ukraine is about the same difference between say New York and Georgia. I will give you this much, the western part of the Ukraine has actually changed hands quite frequently during the Lithuanian and Polish empire era's, but the eastern part - especially the far eastern and Crimea (after the Ottomans were removed) have always been more on the Russian side of that equation. Crimea only became "Ukrainian" as a token gift given to the peoples republic of Ukraine as a gift by Krushev (sp?) the shoe table pounder for some odd reason that I can't even remember at the moment in the 1960's. It is a fact that Crimea voted to separate from the Ukraine. It is true that the majority of people in Crimea view themselves as Russian. In the same way that a New Yorker sees themselves as a New Yorker.

Even the New York times got it right initially until they changed their minds because their political masters told them to. Also to be quite honest, I also believe that the socialists arses in power in western europe and the USA have used the Ukraine to satisfy their love of power and corruption. Are you aware that this debt that the Ukraine has put themselves in has allowed corporations like Blackrock to go in and purchase vast amounts of farms and other properties there? Are you aware that Zelensky (a supposed hero of Democracy) has suspended all elections? Are you aware that his wife is the current owner of the most expensive automobile in the world? Are you aware that Orthodox churches have been close and people of that faith are no longer allowed to worship their God? Are you aware that gangs of thugs kidnap their citizens and force them to the front with almost no training?

I think possibly you, and everyone that supports this complete fiasco need to look a little closer at what you are supporting. Put away your war boner and do some actual research. Also, most of you here, I would imagine are far too old to fight in a war. So it is mighty big of you to cheerlead young men to die for a place they have no idea about, nor even care about. Nor are strong enough mentally or physically to actually fight in. I went to the DMV today, and this is just a tiny window generality, but I saw that at least 50 % of the youngsters getting a license for the first time were obese and probably couldnt even operate a see saw if they had to. SOrry, we are not on a war footing, we are on a surrender footing.

PS. If England had never invaded Ireland, they would be 100% distinct cultures. Irish would still be speaking Gaelic. Irish are Catholic, English (if not Atheist perverts) are protestant. Irish people are farmers by in large, English traders and warriors, and so on and so on. Hell, Irish people even somewhat look different than the ENglish. Me, I am an American mongrel so I have bits of all of them in me.
