Russian Talk of Peace Deal is a Sham - And That's Official

For those who believe a peace deal with Russia giving them the regions of Ukraine they occupy is a way to stop the war you are mistaken , Putin's glove puppet Dmitry Medvedev who is now deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council has revealed on Telegram that if the West backs down and Ukraine give Russia the territories it wants Russia will return and "drive a long steel nail into the coffin" of Ukraine , Ukraine will not be allowed to be an independent Country.

"What if they take [the deal] and accept it?" asked Mr Medvedev on Telegram.

"This will not be the end of Russia's military operation. Even after signing the papers and accepting defeat, the remaining part of the radicals, after a regrouping of forces, will sooner or later return to power, inspired by Russia's Western enemies.

"And then the time will come to finally crush the reptile. Drive a long steel nail into the coffin of Bandera's quasi-state," he said, making reference to the Second World War-era, far-right Ukrainian nationalist Stepan Bandera.

"Destroy the remnants of his bloody legacy and return the remaining lands to the bosom of the Russian land."

I suppose if we were always scared of adversarial or enemy powers possessing nukes, we’d always capitulate.

We’ve been in direct conflict with China before and proxy wars with Russia. Not one nuke exchanged.

They push, we push, the world still stands.

If the fear is that they’re just going to start blasting nukes, I think that’s more of a reflection on their state of mind than ours.

If it hadn't been for Stanislav Petrov in 1983 that would have already happened , Putin may be suicidal but are the Kremlin willing to be led down that path by the man who put their Country in this position because of the mistake he made in invading Ukraine and the mistakes he made during that invasion.

lieutenant colonel Petrov saved the World by not blindly following orders when he should have informed his superiors of an American launch that later turned out to be a glitch , when faced with Mutually Assured Destruction how many senior military personnel will choose not to be taken to hell by launching a first strike.

Fear is a powerful enemy which is something the former street thug Putin knows well and is playing on , we have no choice but to stand firm and do what needs to be done otherwise we are lost anyway.
