Ok. a good story for my fellow Trekkies....

I have a couple of friends who are...shall we say on the rough side, with reputations and stuff'. One of them was a Trekkie on the quiet and when Next Gen' aired (back in the early 90s) would come round to watch it. He said I didn't judge!?

The one time for a laugh, I printed out a cosutme suppliers Klingon outfight and made it look like he'd ordered it, folded it up and slipped it in his inside coat pocket.

I thought he'd go home and find it and laugh....I was wrong.
His missed it and his brother borrowed his coat the next day, his family ripped into him for months thinking he was looking at cosplay outfits.

I still don't think he's forgiven me for that!

"Will Sisko ever return?"

I have to believe Sisko would make appearances so Jake doesn't feel left behind. I can't remember what kind of farewell scene they had, but I imagine their relationship it'd be similar to "The Visitor" where Sisko periodically pops up to ask about his grandkids.

But they get the happy ending instead of the tearjerker one where Jake wastes his life looking for his dad because he couldn't move on. Sisko remembers that incident and what it did to his son. He wouldn't just never check in on him.

One of the few times I had to make my own headcanon about what happens to characters while off-screen.

This is highly illogical.

Favorite theme song was from the animated series. If I recall, it was slightly different than the original shows.

IMO there is nothing better than the original series. Next Gen was okay if a bit generic and didn't really pick up steam until the Borg. (Which was how many seasons in?) I haven't watched any of the spinoffs as they just don't interest me.

I think my favorite show was season 1, episode 3. Can anyone name it?

Cheers...or should I say Live Long and Prosper.

Depends on if we're talking production schedule or air date. Many episodes were aired out of order because some took longer to do the special effects

I believe "Corbomite Maneuver" was the third production episode. 3rd to air? Oh gosh...I'll leave this one to the Treksperts. I'm just guessing here.

If your talking about the TOS, not sure and i'll have to look it up but isn't that the one where kirk's buddy and a woman doctor get powers that grow to be god like when responding to a distress call. then krik tries to strand them on a uninhabited planet, but winds up killin his buddy and the woman doctor goes back with him

looked it up and that was the plot, and the name is very familiar

I liked Vic Fontaine in DS9.

I have a couple of James Darren's CDs which are pretty good if you like Frank Sinatra type stuff.

Yes, that's the one. It was rumored that it would be remade as "Into Darkness"...but then they decided to go with Khan again.

The pilot for TOS was actually split into 2 parts so theoretically it could've been the 4th episode?

I personally like the original version of the original series the best. I have all the original episodes, un remastered, on my phone. I often watch them at the gym while on the treadmill or bicycle machines.

All my uniforms are TOS. I do have sorian brandy bottles, and mini beach balls for horta eggs.

Favorite episode would have to be 'Doomsday Machine'.

The next generation and DS9 were good. DS9 and the newer serieses lost it when they became more story arc oriented and were often shown out of order. This was often because of ball games going overtime causing episodes to be skipped or only partly shown. I need to try to see them in order now.

I did get a local cable station in trouble once. They were showing an informertial for a local buisness instead of a DS9 episode. I called the number and explained how they were getting a lot of bad publicity for doing so. They called their add agency and the programming suddenly changed within 5 minutes. That company was very mad at the add agency and the local cable station. They were not supposed to be showing that informertial at that time.

You mean episode 0 of season 1 as it is known? The pilot that failed to be approved.

Shatner became Kirk because Hunter's wife wanted him to do movies instead of being Pike. How did that work out for him?

i've seen those questions before, and thought they answered those questions in the episodes? if their talking about afterwards it doesn't make sense cause there was no afterwards for those episodes. any way this is the way i see them.

"Will Sisko Ever Return?

there is a comic book series that he returns in and the Prophets have given him powers and he's kicking klingon ass and looking for people that are killing wormhole aliens if your into that.

What Was Up With Vic?

they explained he was programed to be a self aware hologram, and to have empathy. that's why they all turn to him for help and in turn they help him keep his hotel/ casino. or are they asking about the human vic in the Mirror Universe who was shot and killed by Bashir in the one where (spoiler alert) Worf surrenders to Smiley ( Chief O'Brien) and Bashir.

my favorite shows with vic are the one helping Odo and Kira hook up, the one help Nog recover from loosing his leg in combat against the Jem'Hadar in this one Nog at the end arranges for him to stay running 24 7 so it's like he live a real life, and the one where the holo mobsters try and take his hotel the name of the episode many will find interesting is Badda-Bing Badda-Bang.

What Happened To The Hundred

that one i thought would be covered in the episodes where Odo takes over and is going to heal and unite all of them again when the war ends or when the one where female leader changeling explains they are constantly looking for them to bring them home when their urge to return send them that way. except maybe for the one that found Odo on a shuttle named Laas , and tried to get him to travel the Universe with him. and Kira helped escape and then tell Odo who goes and meets him and lets him go without going himself.there was also mention of a couple that were killed going home along with the terrorist / spies changelings.

Did The Romulans Ever Learn They Were Duped?

there was never any hint that they did, in any episodes after Garak planted the bomb that killed the romulan senator. so i'd say no.

What Happened To Kai Opaka?

seeing how they could never leave the prison planet after being reincarnated, and she said that she wanted to help the prisoners stop fighting, and all the Star Fleet Crew and Kira agreed i'd say that she is still alive and kicking there.

Did The Terrans Win Their War?

here's what i was talking about in the Vic answer. in i think the name of the episode was Mirror, Mirror. Worf is the Emperor of the Klingon's who were allies of the Cardassians , when his cloak failed he wound up surrendering to Smiley and Bashir. it's possible that the Cardassians kept on fighting but there were no other episode afterwards. but seeing how just about all of the episodes in all of them Cardassians always win battles and take control they usually wind in a peace treaty and gain or lose some conquered planets.

but if i'm not mistaken, in Star Trek Discovery which is a little to woke for me, a lot of the fist season and i think first couple of the second deals with the the Mirror Universe and it turns out the Terrans lost, and are now slaves. cause they were always fighting with the klingons even after after Worf surrendered to Smiley and Bashir. i seem to remember that the woman that winds up as captian in Discovery kills the klingon leader in one of the episodes.

again there's the new shows and movies not keeping continuity with the past.

What Happened To Tosk?

i always thought that Tosk either died to keep his honor or was still running until killed in the hunt. if you remember he told O'Brien that he was born and rasied for the hunt and it was a matter of honor for him to die in the hunt or to evade the hunters.

What Happened To Thomas Riker?

he was supposed to surrender and get life imprisonment, instead of the the usual death sentence that the Cardassians gave out. seeing how there were no others i'm gonna go with that.

just my thoughts and memeory on the questions.

don't know if your in the U.S. or not and don't know if the Hero and Icons (H & I) network is on where ever you are. if you read the the other thread you know that for a while almost every night i would have it on for back ground noise and breaks from surfing the web. they run all five series in order 6 days a week. Star Trek, Star Trek TNG, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise. i switched up for a while and started streaming all three Star Gates, but already ran them all them, several times and been switching back and forth the past couple of weeks.

i've seen all the Discovery twice except for the new season which is the last one. it's not bad when their not doing all the woke melodrama crap.
Strange New Worlds is pretty good to, it has some melodrama but not quite as bad a Discovery.

i was kinda hoping that Picard would have been better and run longer than it did. for what it was it was decent didn't run long enough to develop to me.

Having seen the first two episodes....

It's Star Trek Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, not as we know it. The Klingons look like vogons now, vogons now, vogons now......

Taken on its own, it can work. Enough is familiar but much is different.

It seems the Federation and Empire both use the same systems alarms. Not very logical. Also, the Klingon funeral rites are very odd. All bodies are supposed to be just rubbish after death.

Taking a short break and going to refill my Tronya. The drink of the First Federation.

I don't hate it yet. It might not be too bad.
