And it has nothing to do with freedom and democracy. It has nothing to do with defeating communism and Putin. It has everything to do with money and greed. He spills his guts to the real purpose we are killing Ukrainians and Russians. Ukraine's goldmine of natural resources. His comments are in the first 2-3 minutes.

Lindsey Graham and John McCain were kings of extortion. That's one reason why you don't see Graham criticizing Joe Biden's influx of overseas cash, or Senator Bob Menendez receiving cash and gold from foreign entities. It's ONE BIG SWAMP.

Are you referring to articles like this?

In December 2013, he toured protest camps and delivered a speech in front of 200,000 protestors in Kyiv’s central square, the Maidan, during the EuroMaidan Revolution.

Standing there, he spoke to the Ukrainian’s on the street, “We are here to support your just cause, the sovereign right of Ukraine to determine its own destiny freely and independently.”

He made subsequent trips throughout the years, including spending New Year’s Eve 2016 at combat outposts in eastern Ukraine to support Ukrainian troops fighting against Russian aggression. McCain was also a key player in securing U.S. military aid to Ukraine.
McCain in Ukraine

It seems McCain was there right before Russia attacks in 2014.

Which is a decade of conflict, not a few years as msm portrays.

Goes deeper when considering Georgia 2008.

There's also those famous photos of McCain with terror leaders.

Can anyone be so naive as to think that any nation helps other nation out of pure charity? In politics alliances look much like in our daily life. Sometimes, my interests are the same as yours and we cooperate.

The Maidan thing was discussed many times here and plenty of arguments were presented that it was a spontaneous uprising of people and not some American intrigue. I will only add that the history of Ukrainian nationalism, brutal as it is, also is a proof that Ukrainians even long before the world wars wanted to have their own independent country and were fighting to achieve that. The Ukrainian hatred of Russia is even older.

Russia's meddling in Ukraine's internal affairs was discussed many times too so I'm not going to repeat that. But referring to the video, the Soviet Union fell apart all by itself due to the severe economic crisis in the whole Warsaw Pact block. Socialism didn't work out so Russia was no longer able to sustain its empire. It let go of its former republics, which was a peaceful process, not some revolution financed by Americans. So no it wasn't the US that pawned the USSR but the economic crisis resulting from ineffective economic system that was socialism.

And I see no reason why Ukraine couldn't aspire to be a member of the EU and, at the same time, keep close economic ties with Russia. This is some bulls**t that stupid Scott pulled out of his ***. France and Germany did it perfectly before 2022. Ukraine couldn't have it both because Russia wanted Ukraine to be its colony and a puppet state much like Belarus. This is why it opposed Ukraine's aspirations.

As for the rest... please... How can anyone say that the guy who invaded a sovereign state and is threatening many other countries with nukes like a psychotic twat is reasonable and wants to deescalate the conflict? When I listen to this "wise head" *sarcasm*, diabolical thoughts enter my head. Like... what if we just shoot the traitors instead of giving them a voice?

Thanks for raping my ears.

The video has , very obviously, been cut to move directly from arming Ukraine to Ukraines resources.

It excludes comments about Russian actions and he was talking about a Trump loan system.

Look up the original interview.

Is corrupting the judicial process with $1 Billion considered invading a sovereign state?

Who and what exactly is being invaded now?

Withholding aid if you don't do more to deal with corruption is not invading a soverign stare.

Waving flags is not invading a soverign state.

Russia sending troops into Ukraine is invading a soverign state.

Ukraine's goldmine of natural resources.

There are spoils to be had in war?

This is news to me and changes everything.

Somebody call the cops ffs. LoL

I hate to break it to you charlest2 but nations and people have been fighting over resources since day dot.

Ukraine is no different, but it should also illuminate you as to the real purpose of Putin's war and invasion.

It's not about the people, but about the land and possibly what lies underneath.

As always freedom to Ukraine and down with the Russian scum invaders.

You're so invested in your Biden vs Trump soap opera that you think the whole world revolves around it. When I say "invasion" I mean the intrusion of foreign armed forces to seize control of a country. Like Russia invaded Ukraine. I don't care about your subjective exaggerated and emotional interpretations of domestic affairs in your own country.

As often as has been discussed this travesty and the root causes of it, the blind remain blind to it and no further discussion can dissuade them from their blindness.

I'll not even try beyond what has already been done here hundreds of times before.

Believe what you will.

What do you think the United States would do if Russia threatened to put nuclear weapons in Mexico? What did the United States do when Russia put missiles in Cuba? Russia put nukes in Cuba because the US put nukes in Turkey. Russia pulled the nukes out of Cuba when Kennedy promised to pull the nukes out of Turkey.
