1. 911
2. JFK
3. Philadelphia experiment/dark budget military projects in general.

Those were my top 3.

Miss the old days before this site became a political sounding board.

I joined ATS just prior to 2012. I figured there would be a lot of good speculation on what might happen. There was ,and then there wasn't.

Since then I followed one member who claimed to be in contact with if not from, an alien ship hidden in the skies over I think it was New York. I engaged as if it were true . A number of others engaged as well and I found a small cult develop around this member and the half dozen or so at that time were practicing some form of spirituality to prepare for the coming revelations. They didn't come and the members dispersed.

I hung around for another few years because I liked the format and it was easy to use. Discussions on politics and conspiracies and economics were plentiful and it was time well spent.

Then along came the election cycle of 2016 and the influx of people interested in the new hope for Western Civilization, Donald Trump. I have, since then, watched the interchanges here devolve into not only partisan bickering but taking a page from the Trumpian book itself, corrode into cheap theatrics and boys on a grade school play yard bulling.

So I for one, will not miss ATS should it go under. It's membership for the most part will gravitate to the other cult gathering places which will, should all go according to plan be absorbed into the one government source for news and culture that the current Truth Social will become should the King win the election in 2024

I've gotta be honest...the MOST FUN I've had here was 'THE THREE IDIOTS' thread.

I'll really miss DBCowboy, Augustus Masonicus...and that other idiot, who's name I can't remember.

The third was a guy named Scurvy Tim. An old pirate who got stranded in Florida.

I hear tell that the ol' scallywag recently left the sunshine state and set sail back to the Midwest.

ATS members have added many, many more pieces to the puzzle of life than I ever would have found on my own.

In summary, ATS has drawn me in an held my attention all these years because of my insatiable desire for knowledge; not from 'official' sanctioned brainwashing sources but from all the deep-thinking people that refuse to be a part of social ingeneering and prefer to think for themselves.

I hate the thought of waking up one day to find ATS is gone forever, but if I've learned anything in life it's how to mourn a loss and move on to the next chapter, feeling grateful for having had the experience.

I think you have just expressed what every member of ATS feels about this place.
Thank you
Rainbows
Jane.

Been a lurker for forever, but have seen the dramas play themselves out over the years I've been into the "truther movement stuff", (then wasn't, then was, then was but only certain parts of it, so you guys can take of that what you will) for 18 years, but I'm pretty knowledgeable about the people and facts involved with ATS, and I can definitely say the following:

You're not gonna lose ATS, guys. It's been here forever, and it's here to stay.

However, the only question is, how much does ATS need to change, in order to STAY relevant?

Talking about the Dulce UFO's, the black holes in wherever, the odd metallic sounds of the early 2010's, etc isn't gonna do it.

ATS WILL need an overhaul.

Are you guys willing to step up YOUR game, if THEY step up THEIRS? (i.e., supporting ATS on a monthly or yearly basis so that it can HAVE a website overhaul, new coding and servers, etc and become something much more modernized and easy to use)?

I guess we'll see in the coming months.

ATS doesn't HAVE "months".

I first came across ATS in 2000 when I watched someone surf the Web who was giving me a crash course on this Internet malarkey and it was coming up in all the searches for the far out things I was looking into .

I must have spent months over the next 5 years reading everything I could in the data Base and finally got around to making a account.

I was in awe at the great minds who came here and still am , ATS is a special place and will never be forgotten

Well, I originally came here looking for recipes...boy was I disappointed.

With me, it was time travel as I have a personal experience with it that I've never shared.

And then Hidden-Hand and the "Window of Opportunity" thread and the "All Roads Lead to Rome" threads hooked me.

I've been here since 2010 and have never left although this is my 2nd incarnation here. I used to be Riffrafter. I also used to be younger & prettier, but time waits for no man, as it were.

We did post some good recipes over the years. My wife is a Chef and I am a decent cook. AM had a number of good things too. Some stupifyingly easy, and some more difficult. 'Cooking' was one of my favorite forums, and I posted there often. There was no lack of good eats here in the 'Cooking' forum over the years. Both of us chronicled major kitchen remodel upgrades with recipes to boot. If you missed these, then I am sorry.

If you hurry, there is still time to go find many of these. But you will have to be quick.

That was the year ATS had the old CIA Vigenère cipher puzzle thread.
That sculpture was 9 feet 11 inches tall.
Doubt anyone will ever spoil the details but it was a great lead in to some of the X-file episodes.
really can't leave out all those spooky Hotel California style area 51 threads.
But OP said we only get to pick one.

As far as the site goes, I was wondering if it was true what I read somewhere that ATS was a secret disclosure web site to mitigate public accidental disclosure of alien contact and to mitigate public disruption of accidental disclosure of aliens and alien tech. If public disclosure is suddenly almost here, is that why funding has been cut off?

If ATS gets shut down in this reality but I jump again to a different parallel Earth where ATS never got shut down, you guys will think I’m even nuttier in the other reality. 😀
