I do actually, remember reading some of his threads. In fact, I think it was some of his research which led me to conclude we will probably never know the real answer. The question of 'whodunnit?' really became more one of 'whodidn't?'.

People have often opined things like some alleged 'secrets' are just too big to keep. The Moon Landings are a good example; that there were too many people involved to keep an alleged secret like it was all a sham. This is certainly valid logic, but when you go back to the completely bizarro litany of things which happened both before, and after, the JFK assassination, you really have to wonder. (I DO 100% KNOW the Moon landings happened BTW, but I also know for a fact they easily could have been faked IF someone had wanted to...for a very long time anyway).

👍 😁

I was using “I seek you” before that.

That was more challenging.

I don't remember exactly what it was that I was looking for when I stumbled onto ATS, but I'd say it was around '06 - '07. If I had to hazard a guess, it happened by way of my fascination with trying to scare myself, and I definitely succeeded in at least creeping myself out with some things here on ATS over the years. the October 28th 2012 website was really eerie and strange. There was a post many years ago about the Arecibo message that absolutely fascinated me, but honestly anything spooky was my cup of tea back in the day. Still very much is, but I don't engage it on here near as much.

If this place goes away, I will genuinely miss it.

For me it was 'Skyfish', or flying rods. I knew it couldn't be true, but after seeing quite a few videos of them, decided to get to the bottom of this.
I don't recall who it was on this site, but they posted a video displaying a tabletop fan, filmed with an old camcorder, it looked like a fan. Then they filmed the same fan with a newfangled digital camera, and over several minutes, the fan blades simply dissolved into a large blob.
Then someone pointed 2 cameras in their yard, one digital, one analog, and showed the same critter flying across the screen. That cinched it for me. Been here ever since.

What brought me to ATS was the JFK Assassination!

Over 20 years ago, I was on another non-conspiracy forum, and they suggested ATS.
Little did I know.....

Still no real answer to that conspiracy, but it certainly has been a wild and illuminating ride!

Thanks to everyone who made this ride possible.

Researching 9/11 brought me here around 05. I found many here looking for answers same as I was. I should’ve ran while I could, lol. I’ve gone down a lot of rabbit holes on this forum since. Sometimes there’s answers and sometimes not.

I went on ATS to see if any of the "stuff" I knew other members knew would come up in topics.

It never happened.

*shrug.

And I am a secret super soldier, so imagine my frustration.

First found ATS investigating 9/11.

I realized before ever signing-up, that there was no real Truth to be found here.

Ensued a multitude of rabbit-hole dives, and clarity about how screwed-up this world really is.

Then : a paradox.
ATS became a living paradox, filled with threads about politics, money, polls, and multiple daily C&P MSM articles, with members discussing them all like they were real.

Then on the third or fourth page, one could find one short post, calling-out the whole thing as nonsense.
That post would be ignored, as the chatty-chappies just kept going-on like all of the false crap is real.

Also present is massive gaslighting, narrative control, and gatekeeping.

So I feel that the real identity of ATS, is underneath the fake veneer.

Nice knowing y'all.

Fare thee well.

9/11 in 2004, I was exploring, double checking what I believed happened, which I found out from WTC7 challenged my OS belief that I had since the event.
The 9/11 forums was my home for a long time, then I branched out into other areas of interest.

I signed up for the free booze and women.
Still waiting for those.

My interests include the Dyatlov Pass event. I don't think there is anything sinister or paranormal involved. But exactly what drove the actions of the party is a mystery.
I have always been interested in native American stories of the strange and unusual. Local tribal lore has some very inexplicable tales. The shiny egg from the sky with strange men inside is a real head scratcher. Cryptids are also a fascinating subject.
I can usually find a mundane explanation for most reports of UFOs, sasquatch, and other phenomena. The real mystery to me is how otherwise intelligent people can so easily discount the Occam Razor explanation and steadfastly cling to the most bizarre and improbable one.

Could be a good thread. Maybe someone else has light to shed. It didn't work for me with the Major Jack Downing story, other than a brief back and forth I had here with Norio Hyakawa, but you never know what you could stir up.
