Tick...tock...What one thing on ATS?

When I first joined here I was incredibly open to all theories and possibilities.
I like to think I still am to a point.....but my default setting is now sceptical.

The onus used to be on the person to provide supportive evidence to back their claims/theories etc up. It now seems its changed and the onus is on people to disprove any random claim/idea etc that is made and people aren't expected to provide supportive evidence.

Being a sceptic is now very much frowned upon and those that demand evidence and proof are deemed sheeple and supporters of the official narrative and agenda.
Nothing could be further from the truth.

Disagreeing with people and calling people out is called insensitive and all sorts wokist bollocks.
Because someone may have a reasoned and considered different opinion is no longer acceptable with many members.

And the belief that not everything is a conspiracy is an alien concept for many.
Some things are simply what they appear to be on face value.

I question everything - as I think many of us do - but so many either accept or deny without attempting any sort of critical thinking and go with their preconceived perspective.

Lots of people nowadays just want to talk to an echo chamber....I really think they miss some of the core, fundamentals about what this site was built upon.

Question everything....Deny Ignorance.

I still follow Dutch on you tube, he has himself a long list of accurate predictions in the EQ field, I don't care what any one says about him, what ever his method is, it continues to surprise me after all these years.

He even got the recent low frequency EQ's on the east coast weeks in advance. Yup, he was wrong about the eclipse and the New Madrid fault and i'm glad he was.

I found this site 7-8 years ago after reading some books by Jim Marrs. He recommended ATS in one of his books. I am sad to see it go. a reply to: Flyingclaydisk

It's been such a long time that I don't quite recall; I want to say it was likely 9/11 stuff. I don't even remember how I found this place to begin with. I do know I'll be sad to see it go if it happens for real this time.

Seems like conspiracy theorists would rather go on never ending chases of their own tails, rather than get to the bottom of any conspiracy.

An end to that kind of charade would be good riddance.

The Jim Marrs books were the first place I heard about ATS too.

I loved his stuff.

Ive been lurking ATS since 2004/2005 found my way here one night after smoking a bunch of weed and deciding I was going to get to the bottom of the Alien/Ufo conspiracy. 20 years later Im still here no closer than the day I began such although much more informed on the subject with a wider theory mindset. So at this point in my search Im leaning towards a few theories :

1. Ocean based intelligent species
2. Inner Ear, Underground, Cave based intelligent species
3. Interdiemsnional species
4. All Government tech
5. Antarctic Lost Race

At this point I lean toward one of the above or a combination of all but I have still never been able to say Im 100% convinced of either. Anyway just sharing my ATS journey may the truth be with you!!

Side note : Best ATS poster of all time in my opinion was a guy called Phage blokes knowledge was absolutely amazing.

OMG, how could we ever forget Phage! Phages viewpoints and mine were diametrically opposed, but I absolutely LOVED that guy! He was really something! We had some of the greatest debates. Just a great guy in real life (well, via emails anyway). I'm sure we would have gotten along famously in person. I wonder what ever happened to him? I wish he could be here to see all of this.

I’m starting to wonder if ATS is like my 20 something year old car. I thought everything was ok. Some electrical issues recently and thought it was fixed by replacing the battery. Took a small 30 minute road trip, ate and got back on the highway. Suddenly everything died but had enough juice to pull off the highway. Called insurance and a tow truck. Took it to a mechanic and will wait to hear back on Monday. Hopefully working again soon. Will ATS suddenly die on May 23 and get resurrected after mechanics work on it? We may find out.

If not, I very much enjoyed this web site. I spend more time here than on Facebook or any other social media website that makes a lot more money than apparently this site. I never understood why owners of this site may have had money issues with the site if this was true.

I will add I wouldn’t mind if there were ads and or reels to click on the side if that kept this site profitable.

My memory is a little foggy, but as I recall he stated he was going to 'retire' which I took to mean 'retire from ATS'. He was already in HI if I'm not mistaken, so I don't think he had anywhere to go. Beyond that...??? One day he was just gone.

He was very knowledgeable about some subjects, especially space but some things we definitely viewed very differently. He was a good person though.

I came to ATS in the early 2000s (changed my avatar etc in 09, but been here way longer). I migrated from Nexus magazine (that's right, physical media in the 90s). Before that i'd been reading Von Daniken and Robert Charroux and the same questions that led me to those guys persist unanswered to this day: The truth behind ET and ancient astronauts!

All these years later we're not really any closer to the truth. Makes me chuckle when i hear about disclosure. Those in the know are still stringing us all along. Of course some real disclosure on this wld be wonderful. But i suspect that if it ever comes, then it'll be a leak/whitleblower with actual hard evidence. TPTB will never, ever tell us anything we do not need to know. Or more accurately, they do not need us to know. Never gonna happen! Information is power!

But i guess the biggest question in existence is: Does our individual existence begin and end with our lifespan on Earth?

If it doesn't then at least that's one answer we're all guaranteed to learn, no matter what the deep state wants

Unfortunately we lost a lot of memorable regulars after 2016. Even people who didn't stray into the politics forums much really lost it after Trump was elected. Some of them lasted longer than others, but they really did start dropping like flies.

People that complain the site has become a right-wing echo chamber need to remember it wasn't always like that and certainly wasn't meant to be that. It only became that because a lot of our left-leaning members quit.

Agreed, and I think there was also another related contributing factor. Regardless of what color arm band people wore, for some the whole political debate reached their saturation point when their interests lay elsewhere. This was not so much a function of something specific with ATS, but rather a changing social landscape across the entire internet.

Yup! If politics is a false paradigm-pantomime to distract us from asking more uncomfortable questions about deep state, wealth divide and insidious agendas on the minds of the few pulling the strings of both Left and Right, then it succeeded on ATS
