Why are you focusing on the definition of the who in that question but cannot answer the actual question?

You are seeming to be setting up a distraction rather than actually wanting clarification.

So you mean anyone to the left of Trump?

Didn't he used to be a Democrat?

It has to do with intent and context...yeah, still haven't got a specific definition from the OP. He only supposes.

Democrat, Republican...maybe something will stick if he keeps throwing it against the wall of sheeple.

I dislike Biden and Trump.

But you DO like Biden's policy of massively funding Ukraine.
Am I correct?

yeah cuz "build back better" worked so well for them last time....

a question for you, and based on your experiences alone...

Is there anything in your life now/today/at this time that is better than it was pre-2020 election?

Is there anything in your life now/today/at this time that was WORSE than the pre-2020 election?

I ask because that's what the Build,Back,Better campaign stood for. Also, I have my experiences but they are not relevant to what you have going on in your personal life/situation. Thank you for taking the time to respond (in advance)

I dislike Biden and Trump.

I'm not "on the left" and have been a right wing Tory most of my life.

Now disillusioned with the lot of them.

this is mainly a question for those who truly believe Trump is "a threat to democracy".
I don't think politics is the same over there. We have a pretty solid line that separates us. The right wants small government, firmly follows the Constitution, believes in secure borders, and both believes and tried to abide by personal responsibility. The left appears and claims to want open borders, more government, less rights, and NO personal responsibility. There are many other things that can go either way, but the big ones have solidified themselves as of late and are much easier to articulate because of that.

I don't see Trump as a threat to democracy.

If there is a threat, it lies with the US electoral system and the poor choices for President that you inevitably seem to have.

Here we vote for a party not a PM.

They come and go, quite often recently.

why don't you go find a thread you can derail that isn't this one. I realize you have a mission here to be the best DERP you can, and trust me on this, you have my vote. But others may actually want to offer an answer.

Yes, but he's not my President and has nothing to do with my views on that.

I don't see how what you are asking for has anything to do with the rest of the question. Left meaning anyone west of the Mississippi River might suffice as a definition without changing the answer to the question one bit. You just don't have or don't want to answer.

It's turning out to be apparent that Trump is not a threat to democracy.

On ATS anyway thus far.

I haven't seen any real progress for the people in the U.S. from either party, it's just business as usual, with a new figurehead in place trying to hold on to power any way they can and continuing the war games forever.

So you finally decided to explain what you mean by 'left' a little late in the game, next time do better in your opening post. So are Republicans that consider Trump a threat to democracy also now relegated into the 'left'?

I have heard that from both sides, but we have a primary for a reason. There were quite a few good choices, and everyone was free to think, talk about, and ultimately vote for who they wanted to lead us. It seems many people would prefer Trump. Enough so, that he will likely get the nomination based on the people in his party. While it's not the same as the DNC picking their person, and alienating all others, it's sort of fair. But don't worry, the RNC can be just as scummy, they did the same thing to Ron Paul that the left is doing to Kennedy.

that was my mistake. I just ASSumed that the people here on ATS were smart enough to understand the basics. I was incorrect.

You suppose and assume too much, do better next time and you didn't answer my question, are Republicans who consider Trump to be a threat to democracy also now relegated to the 'left'?

Meet the new 'left' not the same as the old 'left' - meet the new 'right' not the same as the old 'right' -

Former Trump White House spox Sarah Matthews told MSNBC host and ex-Biden press secretary Jen Psaki that if former President Donald Trump is the GOP nominee, she will support President Joe Biden as a vote “for democracy.”

www.msn.com...

SARAH MATTHEWS: Yeah, I have said that. If it is a choice, between Donald Trump and Joe Biden in a general election, that even if I don’t agree with the policies of President Biden, that I would put policy aside and I would cast my vote for him for democracy, because I look at Donald Trump and this is someone who has shown us that he will not uphold the Constitution.

And so there is no question in my mind then that I would be voting for, Joe Biden.

But I will say right now, my support has been with Nikki Haley. I’m really encouraged to see her performance last night in South Carolina. I know she lost, but look, she garnered 40% of the vote. And that shows that there is a faction in the Republican Party that wants to leave Donald Trump behind. And so it gives me hope for the future.
