An easy question for the left

One thing seems to be consistent with regard to the message the left is offering. Donald J. Trump is a threat to democracy. That sounds like something that matters. Something big. Something important. So if this is really this important, I think it's imperative that those of us who don't get this, understand what you mean. Those of us on the right MUST grasp the "why" part of the threat to democracy.

I can't guarantee that everyone will be nice, but I can say that this question is sincere. If it's real, it this is a real thing, and Trump is honestly a threat to democracy, we all need to understand why so we don't have a bad time.

Please offer a real coherent explanation of what this means.

Democracy = their power.

If read like that, it all makes sense.


Our Republic is a threat to their democracy. A phrase I'm not smart enough to coin but forgetful enough to not know who to attribute it to.

The only answer you need to know is Donald Trump is a threat to their sort of democracy. Which really is no democracy at all. I like the new slogan they are touting at the moment "build a better America for everyone". It should be MAGA but someone has already claimed that one.

I might have a reply to OPs question as soon as he defines 'left' for me. I need to have a meeting of the minds of intent and context before replying to a topic, unlike most of you here.

The bad look is from the OP refusing to define what he means by 'left'.

Democracy is the will of the people. The lead candidate is Trump. So, naturally to them, most voters are terrorists. Some people don't understand that there are other parts of the nation that they rely on for survival who disagree with their viewpoints. I keep hearing about coastal states breaking off. Can't wait. Their population, especially considering illegal immigrants votes and representation, is a tyranny of the majority to the actual structure of America.

You could just opine on the intent and context of the question rather than whatever subjective meaning might be behind "the left."


If you believe that Trump is a threat to democracy, then you qualify under the OP's subjective usage of the term regardless.
